Chapters 851–856 Vol. 9 Read

Ch. 851The Holy Sword

Bai Mo forged the Holy Sword of the Planet and used it to burn away the roots of curses across Britain. After Morgan brought him back and restored his strength, Cernunnos emerged from the Great Hollow and approached the barrier.

  • Bai Mo drew the Holy Sword from his body, and its radiance stirred the fairies across Britain.
  • A message from Cernunnos's priestess led Bai Mo to declare that the fairies' sins would be reckoned with, then sweep the Holy Sword upward and burn the curse roots beneath Britain to ash.
  • Morgan and Caster felt joy as the Holy Sword appeared, while Lancelot and Woodwose witnessed its radiance from afar.
  • Cernunnos emerged from the Great Hollow, and Bai Mo told Morgan through communication magecraft that it meant no harm.
  • Morgan used Water Mirror to bring Bai Mo back, then seated him on her throne to replenish his strength.
  • Cernunnos extended a claw and poked the barrier before it.

Ch. 852Judging sins

Cernunnos healed Baobhan Sith’s soul rot, apologized, and judged Britain’s fairies for their sins before vanishing. As Bai Mo and Morgan prepared to punish the fairies, Oberon and the muscular man watched from above and reconsidered their plans.

  • Cernunnos comforted Baobhan Sith, removed the curse from her soul, and declared that Britain’s fairies would be rejected by the Inner Sea of the Planet unless they repented.
  • Bai Mo explained that Cernunnos’s priestess might have been Baobhan Sith, and urged her to live well despite the uncertainty.
  • Baobhan Sith wept against Bai Mo as Chaldea’s Olga Marie demanded that Ritsuka kill every fairy in Britain.
  • Bai Mo made clear that he intended to kill the fairies responsible, while Morgan would not allow them into the new world.
  • Oberon watched the holy sword’s radiance fade and asked the muscular man beside him whether he still planned to act; the man chose to stay now that someone had cleaned up Britain.

Ch. 853Outside the City

Muryan sought Koyanskaya’s help as the fairies faced destruction, while Woodwose entered Camelot and left Aurora outside. Aurora rallied the stranded fairies to seize the city and grew more resentful of Melusine.

  • Muryan admitted she had no plan to save the fairies and asked Koyanskaya what it would cost to hire her.
  • Koyanskaya left Camelot after Muryan insisted she could not let the fairies be destroyed.
  • Woodwose brought Aurora to the hillside outside Camelot and told her the city’s defenses would not let her enter.
  • Aurora agreed to wait while Woodwose sought permission from Morgan, then promised the stranded fairies she would lead them in taking Camelot.
  • Aurora watched Melusine strike the Calamity of the Beast and seethed over Melusine’s freedom to enter Camelot.

Ch. 854The giant insect

Morgan gathered the Clan Bells to strengthen Caster for the coming battle, while Bai Mo left to confront the approaching enemy. Lun Rang arrived above Britain on a giant insect, drained the fairies across the land, and demanded that Camelot open its barrier.

  • Morgan told Caster to ring the Clan Bells and decided not to sacrifice Gareth for the missing Mirror Clan bell.
  • Woodwose brought the fifth bell to Morgan, then left to fight the Calamity of the Beast.
  • Bai Mo sensed the enemy approaching, said goodbye to Morgan, and vanished as the bells rang and darkness covered Britain.
  • Lun Rang appeared atop a giant insect and activated a vast network that drained the fairies outside Camelot of their power.
  • Bai Mo recognized that Lun Rang was using all of Britain as a reserve, and Lun Rang shattered Melusine's attack before demanding that Camelot open its barrier.

Ch. 855Clash at the High Walls

Bai Mo and his allies faced Lun Rang, the Abyssal Worm, and the Calamity of the Beast as the Dawn of the Apocalypse threatened Britain. Bai Mo resisted Lun Rang’s attempt to drain his power, but Lun Rang drew on Britain’s energy and unleashed a new attack.

  • Roman identified the giant creature as a Terminal Device and found Oberon’s Spirit Origin inside it.
  • Lun Rang attacked the Calamity of the Beast with black spears that fed it power, and Woodwose moved to fight the monster.
  • Melusine prepared to battle the Abyssal Worm, but Ritsuka asked her to leave it to them.
  • Bai Mo crossed the barrier and punched Lun Rang, then absorbed the Dawn of the Apocalypse instead of being drained by it.
  • Lun Rang admitted he had spent a hundred years preparing in Britain and drew vast power toward himself as the space around him shattered.

Ch. 856Old "Friends" Meet Again

Bai Mo battled Lun Rang as the assault on Camelot intensified, while Morgan sent Merlin to reinforce the walls. Lun Rang called on Oberon to unleash the Abyssal Worm, but Ritsuka and Mash confronted Oberon from inside it.

  • Lun Rang used Britain’s power and copied martial techniques to attack Bai Mo, but Bai Mo countered his moves and disrupted his Rapid Bullet Fist.
  • Lun Rang ordered Oberon to attack Camelot’s barrier, and Morgan sent Merlin to hold the walls against the invading insects.
  • Barghest wounded Woodwose, prompting Bai Mo to intervene as Lun Rang and the Calamity of the Beast attacked him from two directions.
  • Melusine intercepted the Calamity of the Beast’s attack, while Bai Mo shattered Lun Rang’s arm.
  • Lun Rang urged Oberon to send down the Abyssal Worm, but Oberon said Ritsuka and Mash had reached its depths and were standing before him.
