Ch. 201An open scheme

Bai Mo and Great Saber used their coordinated Hell God of War tactics to turn the fight against Giant Shark, while Giant Shark pushed the battle toward an even more dangerous climax. Watching the two men’s battle, Arcueid misunderstood Bai Mo’s excitement and resolved to take him away.

  • Bai Mo found an opening in Giant Shark’s attacks, and he and Great Saber worked together to gain the upper hand.
  • Crimson Moon realized Hell had deliberately made her cultivation methods a way to reconcile with Bai Mo and become his ally.
  • Bai Mo and Great Saber used the Ryougi Cyclone to sustain the Hell God of War, and Bai Mo explained that he had held back God-Severing Thunderbolt in their previous fight.
  • Giant Shark unleashed God-Severing Thunderbolt as his battle markings deepened and his fighting spirit surged.
  • Arcueid misread the two fighters’ physical reactions as evidence that Bai Mo was gay and decided to take him back to the café.

Ch. 202Drawing Blood

Bai Mo lost his clash with Giant Shark, who sent him and Arcueid back to the café and told him to learn other martial arts before challenging him again. Back in Arcueid’s room, she asked to drink Bai Mo’s blood, and he agreed while preparing to discuss something with her.

  • Bai Mo and his War God clashed with Giant Shark’s God-Severing Thunderbolt, and Bai Mo lost his right arm and the Great Blade Martial God.
  • Arcueid shielded Bai Mo, but Giant Shark spared them and sent them back through a gate of light.
  • Giant Shark regenerated his chest and arm, then drove the force of Bai Mo’s Sea Tiger Exploding Fist from his body.
  • Mad Giant Shark fell onto Arcueid at the café, and Bai Mo absorbed the saber into himself.
  • Arcueid asked to drink Bai Mo’s blood, and he agreed on the condition that she exercise restraint.
  • Arcueid took Bai Mo to her room and began drinking from his neck as he said he had things to discuss.

Ch. 203Missing Persons

Bai Mo and Arcueid arrived in the Age of Gods instead of the modern era, where demonic beasts had overrun Mesopotamia. After killing an unusually bloodthirsty Ugallu, Bai Mo headed for Uruk, while Ciel remained stranded on an abandoned planet.

  • Neco-Arc said the group had arrived in the Age of Gods and could not locate Ciel, though her vital signs showed she was alive.
  • Bai Mo remembered his promise to Gilgamesh and decided to help, then gave Neco-Arc canned cat food and gold.
  • An Ugallu attacked the café, and Bai Mo killed it after noticing its unnatural hunger for human flesh and blood.
  • Bai Mo saw that demonic beasts had spread across Mesopotamia and flew toward Uruk with Arcueid and Cath Palug.
  • Ciel found herself alone on a barren, abandoned planet deep in space.

Ch. 204Guardian deity

Sajyou Manaka searched Uruk for the source of the power she had found in its demonic beasts, but the old man by the Euphrates refused to explain it. At Uruk, Ishtar demanded greater payment to defend the city, then slaughtered the beasts attacking its north gate.

  • Sajyou Manaka approached the old man by the Euphrates and asked him about the power possessed by the demonic beasts, but he vanished without answering.
  • Manaka recalled that she had joined Chaldea to follow Shiki, who might lead her to Bai Mo, and left Uruk to seek one of the Three Goddesses.
  • A maid asked Ishtar to save Uruk's north gate, and Ishtar agreed only after demanding that Gilgamesh double her payment.
  • Ishtar reached the breached north wall and cut down the demonic beasts as the surviving soldiers cheered for her.

Ch. 205Demon God

Bai Mo saved Uruk from fused demonic beasts and recognized them as weaker forms of Demon Gods from the Martial God Era. After healing the wounded, he left Gilgamesh laughing and ordering Ishtar’s illegal structure demolished over her inflated fees.

  • A fused beast caught Ishtar off guard with a second attack, but Bai Mo killed it with a Magnetic Field Heavenly Blade and destroyed the surrounding demonic beasts.
  • Bai Wunan and Bai Mo identified the fused creatures as Demon Gods, likely connected to one of Bai Wunan’s old enemies from the Martial God Era.
  • Bai Mo addressed Ishtar as Rin and asked about Koyanskaya, but Ishtar insisted she was the Goddess of Venus and flew away after he suggested she was possessed.
  • Bai Mo ordered the survivors to retrieve the wounded, then healed the injured and disabled people in the plaza.
  • Gilgamesh laughed with relief, rejected Ishtar’s demand for repeated payment, ordered her to return what she had extorted, and called for her illegal structure to be torn down.

Ch. 206Plans couldn't keep up with changes

Gilgamesh recalled how his plans to defeat the Three Goddess Alliance had changed after he summoned Bai Mo. After Bai Mo healed Uruk’s soldiers, he met Arcueid and Lady Avalon, whose reunion with Cath Palug ended in a brawl before she invited them to meet the king.

  • Gilgamesh remembered planning to summon Bai Ermo and other godslayers to defeat the goddesses before Tiamat could awaken.
  • Bai Mo healed the last wounded soldier in the square, then accepted food from the civilians and paid the elderly man with gold.
  • Arcueid appeared and identified Lady Avalon as a nightmare hybrid, then introduced herself to Bai Mo.
  • Cath Palug leapt from Arcueid’s shoulder and attacked Lady Avalon, who complained that she had expected not to encounter the beast.
  • Bai Mo separated Cath Palug and Lady Avalon, and Lady Avalon invited Bai Mo and Arcueid to meet Gilgamesh.

Ch. 207Kingship

Bai Mo visited Uruk’s palace and received the Tablet of Destinies after Gilgamesh entrusted him with governing in his absence. He rejected the kingship, thwarted Oda Nobunaga’s coup, and asked Siduri to brief him on Mesopotamia, prompting Ishtar to flee with her gems.

  • Bai Mo, Arcueid, and Lady Avalon learned that Uruk was besieged by magical beasts and that only three Servants remained besides Lady Avalon.
  • Siduri told Bai Mo that Gilgamesh had gone to rest and handed him the Tablet of Destinies, which held the Me of Kingship.
  • Siduri explained that Gilgamesh had gone nearly three months without sleep and had entrusted the tablet to Bai Mo while he rested.
  • Oda Nobunaga attempted a coup and fired at Bai Mo, but Bai Mo deflected the bullet and knocked her unconscious.
  • Bai Mo refused to keep the Tablet of Destinies and asked Siduri to brief him on Mesopotamia and Uruk’s problems.
  • Ishtar watched the events from her tower, feared Bai Mo would make her return what she had extorted, and fled Uruk with her gems aboard the Boat of Heaven.

Ch. 208Ambush

Ishtar fled with her stolen gems but was intercepted by a green-haired figure who accused her of siding with Uruk. In Uruk, Bai Mo tried to choose a cultivation technique for Arcueid, but their lesson was interrupted when Arcueid began to transform after nearly biting him.

  • Ishtar flew through the night aboard Maanna, grieving over the gems she had left behind.
  • A green-haired figure attacked Ishtar with a golden chain and accused her of becoming Uruk's enemy.
  • Bai Mo brought Arcueid to her room and explained several cultivation techniques, eventually choosing Orca Tyrant Fist for her.
  • Arcueid agreed to practice but asked to drink Bai Mo's blood first.
  • Arcueid's eyes turned rainbow-colored and her hair shifted to sunset hues, prompting Bai Mo to pull away from her.

Ch. 209The Promised Land

Crimson Moon took control of Arcueid’s body and asked Bai Mo about his wish, then agreed to accompany him after learning he wanted to create a peaceful world beyond the Quantum Time-Lock. The chapter ended with Crimson Moon and Bai Mo joining hands and setting out on the same path.

  • The Alaya Consciousness concealed Bai Mo and Crimson Moon from Gaia, who had sensed Crimson Moon’s presence.
  • Crimson Moon surfaced through Arcueid, and Bai Mo drew the Blade of Hell before confirming Arcueid was unharmed.
  • Bai Wunan told Bai Mo that Hell had already negotiated with Crimson Moon, and Bai Mo put away his weapon.
  • Crimson Moon asked Bai Mo his wish, and he said he wanted to create a world where intelligent life could find peace and hope, free from fate.
  • Crimson Moon warned that his goal would oppose the Quantum Time-Lock, but chose to witness his journey and promised the moon’s support.

Ch. 210Clues

Crimson Moon offered Bai Mo an alternative to the Human Order, and the two discussed his flower from the moon before she let Arcueid rest. After resolving Uruk’s urgent affairs, Bai Mo searched for the missing Ishtar and found a devastated battlefield marked by magnetic field power and magecraft.

  • Crimson Moon removed the surveillance from Bai Mo’s badge and invited him to rely on the moon instead of the Human Order.
  • Bai Mo showed Crimson Moon the flower he had saved from the moon, and she offered to teach him how to grow it.
  • Crimson Moon asked Arcueid to study the materials she provided, then fell asleep; Bai Mo left a message and went to the palace alone.
  • Bai Mo handled Uruk’s construction and supply problems with remarkable speed, then asked Siduri about Ishtar’s magnetic field power and disappearance.
  • Bai Mo visited Ishtar’s empty temple and found a cratered, bloodstained wilderness where magnetic field power and magecraft had left traces.

Ch. 211Flexibility

Bai Mo tracked Ishtar to a forest cave, where Sajyou Manaka offered to help him reach her without alerting Kingu. Elsewhere, Shiki continued destroying Demon God Pillars while wondering whether Manaka was involved in a strange feeling she sensed.

  • Kingu kept the unconscious, badly wounded Ishtar bound in a cave and asked Sajyou Manaka to watch the forest while he decided what to do with her.
  • Manaka left the cave and encountered Bai Mo at the forest’s edge, joyfully mistaking him for the prince she had long awaited.
  • Bai Mo held Manaka back as she offered to guide him past the forest’s detection arrays and explained that Kingu’s Presence Sensing would not detect her.
  • Manaka identified herself as a Chaldea member and warned Bai Mo that Kingu might kill Ishtar if he alerted him.
  • Kingu sensed something amiss but detected no intruder, while Shiki continued cutting down Demon God Pillars and wondered whether she had sensed Manaka.

Ch. 212Trouble Comes Knocking

Ishtar was rescued from Kingu by Bai Mo, who defeated him with a single punch. Sajyou Manaka refused to help Kingu and declared that she was on a mission to save the Human Order.

  • Kingu prepared to kill the wounded Ishtar, but Bai Mo broke the Chains of Heaven and rescued her.
  • Bai Mo healed Ishtar and warned her not to move while her heart recovered.
  • Kingu attacked Bai Mo with chains and blades, but Bai Mo’s punch shattered the attack and sent Kingu crashing through the cave.
  • Kingu struggled to stay upright as Bai Mo prepared to finish him.
  • Kingu called on Sajyou Manaka to restrain Bai Mo, but she refused, dismissed Kingu, and claimed she was saving the Human Order.

Ch. 213Stele

Bai Mo defeated Kingu after Kingu used a curse on Manaka as leverage, then carried Manaka back toward Uruk. Arcueid intercepted them in the sky, leaving Manaka furious as she hugged Bai Mo.

  • Kingu activated a hidden curse that made Manaka's heart grow cold and threatened to turn her heart and brain to stone if Bai Mo moved.
  • Bai Mo used the Illusory Demon Art to distract Kingu, then destroyed his brain and heart and sent him into the underground river.
  • Manaka rushed to embrace Bai Mo but accidentally hugged Ishtar, and she and Ishtar traded insults before Bai Mo carried Manaka away over his shoulder.
  • Ishtar mocked Manaka as Bai Mo transported her toward Uruk, while Manaka plotted to kill Ishtar and make a paradise for herself and Bai Mo.
  • Arcueid flew in and hugged Bai Mo, and he asked whether she had finished negotiating with Crimson Moon as Manaka seethed on his shoulder.

Ch. 214No Trace Left

Bai Mo asked Ishtar how she had acquired Magnetic Field Power, while Ishtar and Sajyou Manaka clashed over Arcueid’s closeness to him. Ishtar revealed that a strange tablet had offered her the power in exchange for part of her Me and soul, leaving the tablet’s origins unexplained.

  • Ishtar scraped the word “Demolish” from her bedroom wall while Sajyou Manaka angrily watched Arcueid drink Bai Mo’s blood.
  • Bai Mo asked Ishtar about Magnetic Field Power and offered to read her mind if she refused to explain.
  • Sajyou Manaka taunted Ishtar, who attacked her with Magnetic Field Power before Bai Mo stopped the fight.
  • Ishtar said that she had been summoned after Uruk was already in peril and could not sense any of the other Sumerian gods.
  • Ishtar recalled finding a strange stone tablet in her temple that offered her power in exchange for part of her Me and soul; she claimed she paid only with the Me of Fertility and a tiny piece of her soul.

Ch. 215Soul splitting

Bai Mo considered how a powerful being might share Magnetic Field Power by splitting their soul before Siduri reported that Gilgamesh had suddenly died. Lady Avalon suspected Ereshkigal was responsible, so Bai Mo set out to reach the Underworld with Ishtar while Arcueid agreed to guard Uruk.

  • Bai Mo reasoned that a magnetic field powerhouse might split off part of their soul and merge it with other people, then questioned Ishtar about why someone had taken her Me and soul.
  • Siduri rushed in and told Bai Mo that Gilgamesh had died, startling everyone except Ishtar, who was delighted by the news.
  • Bai Mo went with Siduri to a secret chamber, where Lady Avalon examined Gilgamesh's body and suspected the goddess of the Underworld, Ereshkigal, had caused his death.
  • Bai Mo ordered Siduri to preserve Gilgamesh's body and asked Ishtar to guide him to the Underworld; Ishtar reluctantly agreed.
  • Arcueid agreed to stay and guard Uruk after Bai Mo promised to go to a movie with her when he returned within a day.

Ch. 216The Underworld

Bai Mo entered the Underworld with someone disguised as Ishtar, who tried to guide him while concealing her identity. At the Underworld’s gate, its unexpected question asked Bai Mo which woman’s company had given him true peace, leaving the disguised goddess stunned.

  • In the Underworld, Ereshkigal worried about preparing for Bai Mo’s arrival and ordered Dumuzi to carve flowers before falling asleep.
  • Bai Mo accompanied the disguised Ishtar through the Underworld and questioned her unusually caring manner and detailed knowledge of recent events.
  • The disguised Ishtar warned Bai Mo about the Underworld’s gate, but he bypassed it, and she was struck by lightning when she tried to follow.
  • Bai Mo healed the injured disguised Ishtar, and they approached the gate to answer its question.
  • The gate asked Bai Mo whose company had brought him true peace, adding that the answer had to be a woman.

Ch. 217Testing the Waters

Bai Mo answered the Underworld’s stone gate and opened the way onward, while Ereshkigal’s discouragement over her barren realm deepened. As Bai Mo and Ereshkigal walked into the Underworld, blue-flamed skeletons surrounded them.

  • Bai Mo rejected the stone gate’s question about which woman had brought him peace and complained that the Underworld offered nothing worth staying for.
  • Ereshkigal admitted she lacked authority to bring warmth or life to the Underworld and had traded some of her authority for destructive power.
  • The stone gate displayed familiar names, and Bai Mo selected one, causing the gate to open.
  • Cath Palug startled Ereshkigal, who briefly transformed before recognizing the beast and urging Bai Mo to leave through the open gate.
  • Bai Mo told Ereshkigal that he had no lovers and described Shiki as a quiet reading companion, then said he still had things left to do before he could find peace.
  • Bai Mo and Ereshkigal walked through the Underworld as blue-flamed skeletons surrounded them.

Ch. 218Wounds of the soul

Bai Mo confronted a swarm of ghosts drawn to his incomplete soul and absorbed their Primordial Spirit power despite the intense pain it caused. He reached Ereshkigal’s temple with Ishtar, having begun to explore a strange sensation that arose as he endured the damage.

  • Bai Mo realized the ghosts were attracted to his exposed, incomplete soul, and he subdued one by absorbing its Primordial Spirit power.
  • Bai Wunan explained that absorbing the ghosts’ power aggravated the wounds in Bai Mo’s soul without further damaging it.
  • Bai Mo walked through the swarm, absorbing the ghosts’ power to train himself to fight through soul-deep pain.
  • Bai Mo briefly felt a profound sensation while circulating his techniques, but it vanished when the nearby ghosts fled.
  • Bai Mo called Ereshkigal after him, and she followed him down to her temple.
  • Ishtar woke up at the temple and asked whether Bai Mo had carried her there while she was spacing out.

Ch. 219Denial

Bai Mo and Ishtar found Gilgamesh in Ereshkigal’s palace and fought the goddess of the Underworld. Ereshkigal defended keeping humanity in the Underworld as a refuge from suffering, but Bai Mo rejected her decision.

  • Bai Mo and Ishtar entered Ereshkigal’s palace and found her angrily swinging Dumuzi around.
  • Ereshkigal revealed her giant form and attacked Bai Mo and Ishtar, but Bai Mo knocked her back with a powerful blow.
  • Gilgamesh emerged from the shadows and revealed that Bai Mo’s Kingship Me could suppress Ereshkigal’s authority.
  • Bai Mo said he had found Gilgamesh and wanted to leave, but Ereshkigal refused to let any soul escape and defended the Underworld as a haven for humans.
  • Ereshkigal asked whether Bai Mo would deny her refuge, and Bai Mo calmly answered that he would.

Ch. 220Value

Bai Mo confronted Ereshkigal over her attempt to protect humanity by trapping it in the Underworld, using the souls’ unfulfilled wishes to show her what she had denied them. After Ereshkigal gave up fighting and her hidden identity was revealed, a glowing stone stele attacked her, leaving Bai Mo unable to stop it.

  • Ereshkigal attacked Bai Mo with Nammu Abzu, demanding to know why he rejected her plan, while he argued that humans deserved to live according to their own wishes.
  • Bai Mo broke some of the Underworld’s prisons and let the trapped souls enter him so their regrets and longing for life could reach Ereshkigal.
  • Gilgamesh and Bai Mo explained that the souls wanted a world of possibility, and Ereshkigal admitted that maintaining the Underworld was still her duty.
  • Bai Mo revealed that he had known Ereshkigal was impersonating Ishtar, and Ereshkigal and Ishtar bickered as the tense atmosphere eased.
  • A stone stele near Ereshkigal’s palace suddenly fired an invisible ribbon of light at her, and it passed through Bai Mo before piercing her.
