She grew up hiding from place to place alongside its Evil Soul Masters, living without the freedom to remain openly beneath the sky. Her deepest childhood wish was to embrace the light rather than continue that concealed existence 229 230.

The cult’s ambitions became a personal burden. Zhong Meng, her deputy and her father’s cousin, invoked her father when reassuring her about a decision she was deeply reluctant to make. At her eventual ascension, she addressed her mother and declared that she had finally fulfilled the wish for the Holy Spirit’s descent 240 386.

She prefers contingencies and bargains to unnecessary risks. She trades valuable cultivation knowledge to save Zhong Meng, uses hostages and her control over the Star Luo emperor to secure a favorable exchange, and accepts withdrawal when a battle no longer serves her plans 230 231 256 279.

Her ruthlessness coexists with genuine reluctance. She is moved by the beauty of Yu Tianshuang’s snow, mourns the loss of valuable cult fighters, and briefly hesitates over Xiao Wu’s situation. Nevertheless, her resolve ultimately outweighs those feelings, culminating in the sacrifice of most of humanity for her own ascension 230 279 357 386.

She admires Yu Tianshuang’s strength but repeatedly misjudges its extent. After attaining the Supreme God Realm, she hopes to avoid a lethal confrontation by treating him as an equal and offering to share the world. Ye Yuxuan first seeks out Yu Tianshuang because he destroyed the blood pool beneath Hell Road and deprived Evil Soul Masters of Slaughter City as a refuge. She arranges a palace meeting and proposes that the Star Luo Empire supply soldiers to Spirit Hall against Heaven Dou 225 228.

When Zhong Meng loses their ensuing duel, she intervenes to prevent his death and relinquishes the Twin Martial Soul cultivation method. Later, after Yu Tianshuang defeats the Star Luo emperor’s forces, she takes Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun hostage and trades them for the emperor, preserving the cult’s political foothold 230 231 256.

Imperial War and Jialing Pass

The cult turns mass battlefield deaths into resources: Ye Yuxuan and Zhong Meng reveal that one hundred thousand slain soldiers have empowered their protectors, while preparing an army of five hundred thousand Death Puppets 242.

She later rescues the survivors of a failed operation against Yu Tianshuang, then joins Tang San and the Star Luo army at Jialing Pass. She commands the Death Kui and Mammon vanguard and commits the cult’s Titled Douluo to the aerial battle 279 308 310.

After the Clear Sky Sect’s destruction, she reveals her ability to return dead Titled Douluo to the field. The threat of converting the Heaven Dou army into further weapons persuades Yu Tianshuang’s side to permit a retreat. She also retrieves Xiao Wu and the charred remains of Tang San’s companions 320.

Manipulating Divine Inheritances

Ye Yuxuan draws Qian Renxue’s separated soul into negotiations over its survival, then persuades Bo Saixi to assist in resurrecting Tang San. His return restores the possibility of completing the Sea God inheritance 330 331 335 336.

She also uses Bibi Dong’s ascent to investigate divine power. Although the newly ascended Bibi Dong forces the cult to kneel, Ye Yuxuan conceals her anger and continues searching for a way to harness the Power of Faith 356 357.

Holy Spirit Descent and Death

After recovering Tang San’s divine artifacts through the Abyss, Ye Yuxuan orders Zhong Meng to begin the Holy Spirit Descent Plan. Spatial rifts release monsters and deity-level beings around Heaven Dou City, while her continent-spanning preparations feed souls into the final ritual 381 385.

She completes her ascension as the Holy Spirit and battles Yu Tianshuang with her new longbow. Their clash reduces Heaven Dou City to dust. Her subsequent offer of coexistence fails: Yu Tianshuang refuses to forgive the harm done to Shui Yue’er and Ye Lingling 386 387.

Inside his Dao World, her hundred God King-level summons and coordinated arrows cannot overcome his sword techniques. He tracks her through her position swaps, destroys her heart, and freezes her Divine Power. She dies regretting her decision to oppose him, with the promise to her mother remaining her final memory 388.
