After more than half a year away, he returned at Soul Power level 20 and announced that he planned to use a Metamon for his second Soul Ring.

• Hu Jiu received the village’s Work-Study Student place, learned two cultivation manuals from Old Jack, and began training in blacksmithing and the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer with Tang San.
• At Nuoding Academy, Hu Jiu defeated Wang Sheng, met Xiao Wu, and became part of the Seventh Dormitory before Xiao Wu took over as its leader.
• Hu Jiu and Xiao Wu defeated Xiao Chenyu’s group, and Hu Jiu learned Soul Power Control from Tang San to develop the skills in his AFK Panel.
• After reaching Soul Master level, Hu Jiu chose a Sky Swallowing Toad for his first Soul Ring, and Tang San and Xiao Wu accompanied him to Soul Hunting Forest.
• Hu Jiu absorbed the Sky Swallowing Toad’s Soul Ring, gained an External Soul Bone that remade his tongue, and unlocked a golden Idle Slot that raised the ring’s age.

Hu Jiu and Xiao Wu traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Hu Jiu gained a powerful Soul Ring and Soul Bone through Pink’s Sacrifice and discovered a martial soul fusion with Xiao Wu. They left the forest for Nuoding Academy, keeping Hu Jiu’s growing strength and their fusion skill secret.

• Hu Jiu and Xiao Wu returned to Nuoding Academy after Hu Jiu gained the Transformation skill from a ten-year Metamon Soul Ring, then he trained with Tang San and developed the Soul Power Spiral Pill.
• During the academy break, Hu Jiu and Xiao Wu visited Holy Soul Village, where Tang San learned that Tang Hao had left and Hu Jiu received a 132-jin Meteor Hammer forged by Tang San.
• Hu Jiu’s Soul Rings and Carrots grew stronger, and Grandmaster questioned him about his rapid progress, but Hu Jiu refused to reveal how he raised his Soul Ring limits.
• Hu Jiu and Xiao Wu secretly traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Xiao Wu introduced him to Da Ming and Er Ming and explained her past.
• Xiao Wu introduced Hu Jiu to Pink, an aging Lightning Rabbit, who agreed to Sacrifice herself after Hu Jiu promised to help care for her children, Little Gray and Xiao Bai.
• Pink Sacrificed herself to Hu Jiu, giving him a third Soul Ring and a two-thousand-year Head Soul Bone that granted Mental Shock and greatly expanded his perception.
• Hu Jiu and Xiao Wu fused their martial souls into Moon Fairy, a powerful form that they estimated could reach the peak of the Soul King realm, and agreed to keep it secret.
• Hu Jiu made thousands of Carrots for the forest group, then he and Xiao Wu returned to Nuoding Academy, where Tang San welcomed them and complained that they had not taken him along.

Hu Jiu, Tang San, and Xiao Wu left home for Shrek Academy, where they tested their strength, obtained Soul Rings, and began training. The arc ended with Xiao Wu revealing that she was a Soul Beast and Hu Jiu promising to protect her, while Zhao Wuji took Hu Jiu to train in the Indestructible Vajra Body.

• Hu Jiu, Tang San, and Xiao Wu left for Shrek Academy, fought Dai Mubai at the Rose Hotel, and reached the academy, where Hu Jiu negotiated their enrollment and challenged Zhao Wuji for a Storage Soul Tool.
• The trio failed Zhao Wuji’s timed test, but Hu Jiu and Xiao Wu revealed their Moon Goddess Martial Soul Fusion, and Flender accepted them into Shrek.
• Hu Jiu, Tang San, and Xiao Wu traveled with Zhao Wuji to the Star Dou Great Forest, where they fought Soul Beasts, and Hu Jiu obtained his Fourth Soul Ring from the Sun Tree.
• Xiao Wu returned with a 1,500-year Soul Ring and the Instant Speed skill, while Hu Jiu began training in Zhao Wuji’s Indestructible Vajra Body through his AFK Panel.
• Hu Jiu confronted Xiao Wu about her secret, then fought Dai Mubai at training and defeated him with his Meteor Hammer and newly learned Indestructible Vajra Body.
• Xiao Wu revealed that she was a Soul Beast and planned to leave to protect Hu Jiu, but he embraced her, accepted her, and promised to protect her.
• Hu Jiu returned to Shrek’s Training Ground with Xiao Wu, and Zhao Wuji took him to a secluded courtyard to ask about his progress in the Indestructible Vajra Body.

Hu Jiu defied Flender and Grandmaster, developed his skills, and led the Shrek students through training and Soul Arena battles. The arc ended with the Nine Dance Combination victorious and Hu Jiu offering his Cultivation Carrots to his classmates at a high price.

• Hu Jiu began learning Phantom Dodge, trained under Zhao Wuji, and offered Ma Hongjun Cultivation Carrots to help him advance.
• Hu Jiu refused Flender’s demand that the students eat Oscar’s sausages, and Tang Hao later beat Flender after confronting him over Tang San.
• Hu Jiu fought with Oscar and Dai Mubai, then joined the students at the Great Soul Arena under disguised appearances and defeated Tie Erchui.
