Atop Mount Sumeru, the earth-shattering waves of enlightenment that had shaken the Primordial World had subsided, yet the lingering might of the Dao still permeated the air, its residual authority not yet dissipated.
Ming Xin, having unified his three bodies, retracted his aura and walked with measured steps to stand before the two Sages, Jieyin and Zhunti Buddha Mother.
He bowed deeply, his tone calm yet carrying an unyielding resolve: "Two masters, this disciple has established his lineage. My heart stirs with new insights into the Great Dao of Killing, the Five Elements, the Red Dust, and Karma—each requiring immediate seclusion to digest and consolidate. I beg leave to withdraw."
Jieyin and Zhunti gazed upon their beloved disciple, sensing his aura—though not yet truly a Sage—already unfathomable, subtly on par with their own. Their faces bloomed with immense relief and pride.
"Excellent! Most excellent!" Zhunti Buddha Mother clapped and laughed, her eyes brimming with admiration. "Your Dao foundation is complete, the path ahead clear and open. This is the critical moment for deepening enlightenment—do not let worldly matters delay you! Go, go at once!"
Amitabha (Jieyin) nodded as well, his usual expression of suffering fading into warmth: "Go as you will, my disciple. With your master and uncle guarding Mount Sumeru, none shall disturb your cultivation. May you soon achieve full attainment, and add another pillar to our Western lands!"
"Thank you, master and uncle!" Ming Xin bowed once more, said no further words, and with a flicker of his form, vanished from the spot, returning to his secluded cultivation chamber, heavily guarded by layers of restrictions.
Within the silent chamber, all was still.
Ming Xin sat cross-legged, his mind instantly sinking into his inner world. In his sea of consciousness, the vast, untapped Heavenly Dao Merit—like an ocean—was being efficiently drawn and transformed by the system core into the purest Power of Law Comprehension.
With a thought, he guided this immense force, channeling it toward several key directions:
Red Dust and Reincarnation: The phantom of his Past Self manifested in the sea of consciousness, seated atop boundless Red Dust fate. As merit power merged in, the scenes of mortal life grew ever more vivid and real. The Seven Emotions and Six Desires evolved to their extreme, then settled into a transcendent compassion. The channels of reincarnation became clearer and more stable, his understanding of soul essence and karmic flow accelerating. Red Dust and Reincarnation, two sides of the same coin, now fused deeper.
Karma and Fate: The phantom of his Future Self held a compass, surrounded by countless intricate Threads of Karma. The infusion of merit power brought order and light to these tangled strands, allowing him to see the nodes of karma and the veins of fate more clearly. Though he could not yet fully control them, his ability to deduce the future and interfere with established trajectories steadily grew.
Killing and Judgment: At the core of his Main Body, the Dao character "Kill," representing the Great Dao of Killing, underwent a subtle yet profound transformation under the refinement of merit power. The ultimate intent to kill did not weaken but grew purer—and from that purity, a colder, more supreme meaning was distilled: Judgment! This was no simple verdict, but a final ruling based on iron laws and order—against sin, karma, and all that defied the rules! Killing was its means; Judgment, its core. This nascent Law of Judgment elevated Ming Xin's Great Dao of Killing to a new level, its power and status soaring.
The system operated at full capacity, aiding Ming Xin in this vast and precise process of law comprehension and ascension. Merit power, like the finest fuel, drove his Dao cultivation steadily deeper and more essential. Though his realm was suppressed at Half-step Primordial Unity, his understanding of the laws he commanded, his control over them, and his deduction of the ultimate path—
—the "Primordial Limitless Grand Unity Golden Immortal"—advanced at a pace of a thousand miles per day.
Outside, the world churned. Friction between the Wu and Yao clans grew fiercer, and the Sha Qi of the great tribulation thickened daily. But Ming Xin, deep within Mount Sumeru, waited like a patient hunter, silently gathering strength, sharpening his fangs, biding time for the final moment. He would, in that instant when heaven and earth overturned and rules trembled, complete the earth-shattering ultimate leap in perfect form.
Time flowed like water; the Primordial World knew no years.
Since Ming Xin entered seclusion deep within Mount Sumeru, using boundless merit as fuel and the system's power to deduce the myriad Daos, countless tens of thousands of years had passed in the blink of an eye.
On this day, within the silent chamber, the figure that had lain still as an ancient boulder finally stirred.
Ming Xin slowly opened his eyes. No earth-shattering divine light shone from them—only a profound calm, weathered through countless kalpas, seeing through all rise and fall. His aura grew even more restrained; save for the faint, lingering saintly might and perfect Dao resonance around him, he seemed almost mortal.
He carefully savored the gains from this seclusion:
The Red Dust Great Dao was now fully mastered! With a thought, he could stir boundless Red Dust fate, manifest the myriad forms of sentient beings, and wield the Seven Emotions and Six Desires as blades or as boats—to ferry others or himself. The Past Self, bathed in Red Dust light, was perfectly accomplished.
The Great Dao of Reincarnation had reached ninety percent comprehension! Only the underworld, which governed the reincarnation of all beings in the Primordial World, had yet to emerge—the final missing piece for true completion. Yet even so, his understanding of soul essence, karmic flow, and the mysteries of rebirth had reached the pinnacle of the Primordial World, enough to wield many great reincarnation divine abilities.
The Dao of Karma was successfully grasped! The compass in the Future Self's hand had solidified, its Threads of Karma clearly visible. He could now initially nudge or even sever ordinary karmic ties. He had gained an essential understanding and application of the Heavenly Principle that "good begets good, evil begets evil."
The Great Dao of Fate, worthy of being one of the top five Supreme Laws, was arduous beyond measure, consuming the most merit, and had only reached sixty percent mastery. Though he could not defy fate itself, he could now glimpse more tributaries of destiny, predict fortune and misfortune, avoid risks, and seize more initiative in the unseen.
The Great Dao of Killing had advanced further, and the nascent Law of Judgment it had birthed grew robust. Though not yet fully independent, it already imbued his killing power with the authority and effect of a Heavenly Dao verdict.
The Five Elements Great Dao, as his foundation, had long been perfected, making the evolution of chaos increasingly effortless.
"Hah—" Ming Xin exhaled a long breath of turbid air. Within that breath seemed to contain a thousand years of the Mortal World, a hundred cycles of reincarnation, and endless Cause and Effect, before it ultimately dissipated into nothingness.
"My foundation is sufficient; I only lack the final push." He murmured to himself, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.
Through the deductions of his Future Self and the system's capture of heavenly opportunities, he already knew that the conflict between the Wu and Yao clans had reached a critical point. The first large-scale bloody war that would sweep across the Primordial World was about to erupt!
This was precisely the stage he had long awaited—a chance to seize the fortune of the Calamity Qi, perfect himself, and ultimately attain enlightenment!
He lingered no longer. Rising to his full height, he stepped out of the meditation chamber in a single stride.
With a flicker of his form, he arrived at the main hall of Mount Sumeru. The two Sages, Jieyin and Zhunti, seemed to sense his approach and were already seated upright on their cloud thrones, waiting.
