A New Goal
After returning, Dath'Remar first went to check on the construction of the temporary shelter. Besides the number of magic crystals, his biggest concern was the progress of the construction. They weren't worried about food; at worst, they had magic bread to fall back on, since only a few elves wanted to stay on the ship after such a long voyage.
At a temporary stronghold of the Highborne
The Highborne here are busily building their temporary homes. They cut down trees and quarried stones, transporting these materials to the temporary settlement to build their homes. When the Highborne at the temporary settlement saw the materials being transported, they all went over to help unload them. After the materials were unloaded, the Highborne mages began casting spells.
Under the influence of magic, the building materials were arranged into houses. The Highborne workers nearby, seeing that the materials had been arranged into the shape of houses, began to work, wielding their tools.
The sound of a hammer striking nails echoed in the makeshift dwelling. Dath'Remar entered and saw the smiles on the faces of the Highborne— smiles he hadn't seen on Kalimdor. Without Tyrande's watchful eye, the Highborne were relaxed, their smiles revealing ease.
But Dath'Remar understood that this smile was temporary; only when the problems of housing and the source of magic were completely resolved would it be permanent.
"Greetings, great Lord Dath'Remar!" The Highborne, who were building temporary shelters, discovered Dath'Remar's arrival.
They all put down their work and surrounded Dath'Remar. The Highborne who had followed Dath'Remar here all admired Dath'Remar. Dath'Remar also saw hope in these Highborne, which gave him the motivation to persevere.
"Hello, how are you all doing here? Are you settling in well?" Dath'Remar was also dealing with commoners for the first time and seemed a little reserved. Usually, Dath'Remar would talk to their chieftains and leaders, exuding an aura of authority without being angry. But this time, Dath'Remar was talking to commoners, and he found it difficult to control his aura. Dath'Remar was afraid that his aura would frighten them, so he was a little reserved.
"We are all well, thank you for letting us live without fear." After saying this, the leading civilian knelt down and gave Dath'Remar a deep bow, and the civilians behind him followed suit.
"This..." Dath'Remar had never seen such a situation before; all he had ever seen was the obsequiousness and fear of his subordinates.
The enthusiasm of the common people put Dath'Remar in a difficult position for a moment, but at this moment another lieutenant behind Dath'Remar stepped forward to help Dath'Remar out of the predicament.
"Lord Dath'Remar needs to inspect other temporary outposts, everyone please stand up." The adjutant stepped forward and said, and the surrounding civilians also stood up to make way for Dath'Remar.
"Thank you for earlier," Dath'Remar said to his adjutant as they walked back.
"You don't need to do this, it's what I should do." The adjutant was flattered by Dath'Remar's gratitude.
"This is the first time I've spoken to elves other than nobles, and I don't know how to talk to them yet."
"You simply lack experience in talking to civilians; once you have experience, you won't be like this," said Dath'Remar's adjutant.
"I hope so," Dath'Remar said with a smile.
The Helidos Continent, the Kingdom of Aikatel, the location of Snyder.
Snyder felt a headache coming on as he looked at the reports handed over by the various ministers.
Over thousands of years, the Kingdom of Aikatel has established a complete economic and bureaucratic system.
The confirmation of the two systems allowed Snyder to better manage the kingdom.
"Eresal Fort needs a shipment of grain."
"Sugelas needs a batch of solid wood bookshelves to store the newly printed books."
"The militia forces in the towns surrounding Faletai'an need a new batch of weapons."
After reading them, Snyder began to review the documents.
"Sir, General Jarod has arrived," the guard at the door reported to Snyder as he entered.
"Jarod? What's he doing here? Is there a problem with basic training? Let him in." Snyder had the guards bring Jarod in.
"Greetings, Your Majesty." Jarod bowed and greeted Snyder as he entered.
"Get up first. Is there a problem with basic training?" Snyder asked Jarod after helping him up.
"The recruit training is proceeding smoothly without any problems. I'm here to report something to you."
"Oh? Is there anything more important than basic training?" Jarod's words piqued Snyder's interest.
"I saw Dath'Remar," Jarod said slowly.
"Dath'Remar? He's come to Hailidos too? You must be kidding me. With Faledor's barrier protecting us, outsiders won't be able to find us here." Snyder was clearly amused by Jarod's words.
"He did not come to Hailidos; he took his followers to the Eastern Kingdoms."
"He found the communication stone I had given to Apophis, the indigenous brother there, and used it to contact me."
"They need our help now. Should we send people to help them?"
Snyder thought about it and then made a decision.
"Come with me, bring the Hand of the Bright Moon, and let's go see some old friends."
"Are you coming along too? Then who will handle the administrative affairs here?" Jarod asked his question.
"You still have your sister, trust her, she can do it," Snyder reassured Jarod.
"Alright, now go prepare the supplies Dath'Remar will likely need. I'll go gather the army; we'll meet in the port city." Snyder didn't give Jarod a chance to speak before pulling him out.
After Snyder gave the order, Aikaite'er started working like a massive machine, quickly preparing everything Snyder needed.
Snyder and Jarod boarded a ship bound for the Eastern Kingdoms.
Snyder sent a message to Maiev using a communication stone from the ship.
He believed that Maiev wasn't angry, just a little upset, but Jarod, standing next to him, didn't think so. Having grown up under his sister's loving care, he knew very well that Snyder would have a tough time after returning home.
But Snyder didn't care about that at all; that was something for Snyder to consider in the future. Right now, he was thinking about how to catch up with old friends he hadn't seen for thousands of years.
The fleet headed towards the Eastern Kingdoms, Snyder thoroughly enjoyed the voyage.
He would occasionally converse with the elemental will of Azeroth and feed the seabirds that flew by; he lived a very comfortable life.
A few days later, the fleet's observer spotted the Highborne fleet in the distance. Snyder then ordered his crew to prepare, while he cast a spell to increase the fleet's speed.
When the fleet docked, Snyder, along with Jarod and the Hand of the Bright Moon, disembarked and saw their old friend Dath'Remar, whom they hadn't seen for thousands of years.
