|---|---|---|
| Life level 18 — First-Tier Martial Artist | 16 | His recorded level at the end of his third year, recalled retrospectively. His bodily skills were still short of Lesser Mastery of Minute Subtlety. |
| Life level 20 — Second-Tier / Intermediate Martial Artist | 15 16 | Advanced two levels in roughly one month using a large supply of treasures purchased by his father. Fang Yu estimated the expenditure at no less than ten million Star Coins. |
| Lesser Mastery of Minute Subtlety | 19 21 | Revealed during the fourth-year opening assessment through the unified resonance of his muscles and bones. Combined with life level 20, this placed him third on the second recommended-admission list. |
Background / History
Family and College Life
Wang Mo comes from a wealthy family with assets worth at least nine figures. His father, Wang Xundao, heads Shengchuan Group. At Wuling City Martial Arts College, Wang Mo shared a dormitory with Fang Yu and He Jiyu for three years 15 20 29 32.
Although he had originally decided against the undergraduate recommendation assessment, his father financed an intensive month of cultivation and insisted that he participate. Wang Mo joked that failure would mean frozen bank cards and his father producing more heirs to compete for the family fortune 15.
Recommended Admission
Wang Mo and Fang Yu were the only students from Class 5703 to enter the second recommendation assessment. Other candidates dismissed Wang Mo as someone relying on family money, but his newly attained Lesser Mastery of Minute Subtlety surprised the teachers 16 19.
He finished third on the recommendation list and secured admission to Huguang Martial Arts University. At graduation, he received one million Star Coins from the college; Yan Fu also said he could help Wang Mo apply for more than two hundred thousand Star Coins in scholarships 20 21.
Fang Yu’s Sponsorship
After telling his father about Fang Yu’s direct admission, Wang Mo invited Fang Yu to a celebratory dinner. There, he introduced his friend to Wang Xundao and Gu Qing, the head of Shengchuan Group’s martial artist division 24 32.
The dinner led to endorsement negotiations between Fang Yu and Shengchuan Group. Wang Mo objected when he learned that his father had investigated Fang Yu’s family. Afterward, he urged Fang Yu to negotiate according to his actual value rather than accept unfavorable terms out of friendship 33 35.
Wang Xundao privately regarded the investment as a possible source of future protection for his son: if Fang Yu became a powerful martial artist, his brotherly bond with Wang Mo would give him a reason to help 35.
University and Primordial Star
Wang Mo traveled to Huguang Martial Arts University on August 17. His initial university ranking was 4,343rd; Fang Yu explained that his lack of practical-combat coefficient points depressed his placement despite his comparatively high life level 35 37.
He voluntarily joined the trip to Primordial Star. As an ordinary recommended student, he faced no immediate combat-assessment requirement. Following his father’s advice, he planned to remain in the safe zone and practice against low-level ferocious beasts rather than immediately join a squad 24.
He gathered with the other departing students, received a communication star ring, and traveled through a star gate to Primordial Star 39 40.
Personality
Wang Mo is outgoing, teasing, and openly wealthy, but does not look down on poorer classmates. His conspicuous lifestyle attracts criticism, while his easygoing manner allows him to get along with much of his class 16.
He is particularly considerate toward close friends. During their college years, he avoided throwing money around in ways that would hurt Fang Yu’s or He Jiyu’s pride. When He Jiyu struggled financially, Wang Mo arranged a job contact while taking care not to embarrass him 20 35.
Despite his apparent laziness, Wang Mo possesses more perseverance than he advertises. Fang Yu recognizes that money alone could not explain his rapid rise to level 20, and Yan Fu considers his aptitude for martial skills respectable. Wang Mo nevertheless describes himself as easily distracted, average in talent, and less devoted to martial arts than Fang Yu 16 19 20 35.
His romantic outlook is cynical: he dates frequently, says he no longer believes in love, and intends to wait until forty before having children. He attributes part of that outlook to his father taking him to a hostess karaoke club to dispel his naïveté about relationships 15 20.

Lesser Mastery of Minute Subtlety
- Coordinated bodily strength: His muscles and bones resonate together, matching the realm’s principle of unified muscular and skeletal control 19 31.
- Assessment performance: The breakthrough raised him above what his life level alone would likely have earned on the recommendation list 21.
- Documented limit: His bodily techniques remain at Lesser Mastery when he enrolls at Huguang Martial Arts University 37.
Lower Astral Aspect
- Has awakened a Lower Astral Aspect, though its name and individual abilities are not disclosed 16.
Relationships
- Fang Yu — Classmate, longtime roommate, and close friend. Wang Mo supports his martial ambitions and insists that their friendship should not oblige Fang Yu to make business concessions to Shengchuan Group 15 35.
- He Jiyu — Roommate and close friend. Wang Mo connects him with a relative’s company when marriage, twins, and housing expenses leave him struggling to find suitable work 20.
- Wang Xundao — Father and head of Shengchuan Group. Funds Wang Mo’s cultivation and pressures him to pursue undergraduate admission, while also planning for his future security 15 29 35.
- Yan Fu — Homeroom teacher. Praises Wang Mo’s progress, offers scholarship assistance, and asks to attend his admission celebration 21.
- Gu Qing / Uncle Gu — Head of Shengchuan Group’s martial artist division. Wang Mo respects his combat experience and introduces him to Fang Yu as an exceptional Advanced Martial Artist and Fourth-Tier Civilization Warrior 32 35.
