Jason headed straight for the nearest city. He had a considerable amount of Inkstone and had hired ten Demon: one Six-Star Fiend, three Five-Star Fiend, and six Four-Star Fiend. He wasn't lacking in Midgod Demon; the Rhine Clan had now amassed nearly a hundred Midgod.
Jason had previously traveled alone across the Netherworld Continent for over a hundred years; now that the entire family is relocating, the pace will naturally be slower, and Jason estimates it will take about three hundred years to reach the Blood Peak Continent.
(In the original story, Linley traveled from the Zijing Continent to the Blood Peak Continent for nearly seven hundred years, during which he was trapped in the Zijing Mountains for five hundred years.)
The Rhine Clan wasn't in a hurry. They squeezed their members into three Metallic Airship and flew slowly, trying to avoid dangerous areas. With Jason, Delisha, Bessalie, and ten Demon in charge, they rarely encountered large groups of bandits. If they did, they could simply drive them away. They had a safe journey.
"Hmm, this is the first time I've received a mission that lasts this long. Miss Delisha, can't we stop for a bit in the cities we pass through?" A lively female Demon named Freya got along well with Delisha and they often chatted along the way.
Freya was Six-Star Fiend, and Jason initially didn't want to hire her, feeling that she might have ulterior motives. In the end, he agreed because she suggested that she wanted to return to her hometown on the Blood Peak Continent, and since the Rhine Clan didn't really have anything worth coveting.
Three Metallic Airship were deployed, with Jason, Delisha, and Bessalie each commanding one, while ten Demon were scattered throughout the Metallic Airship.
"Getting to our destination as quickly as possible will minimize the danger. You know how fragile my people are."
Even if the Rhine Clan is powerful, it still has a large proportion of members in the Saint-level. They can't all be allowed to Refine Divine Spark, so they can only be carefully protected. It is also because of the existence of these Saint-level members that the Metallic Airship cannot even fly at full speed.
Freya then teased, "Delisha, is Jason your man?"
Delisha frowned. "Why do you ask? Let me tell you, he has a wife and daughters."
"So what? Your family is the strongest, you two. Unless that Bessalie tries to take you away, who would dare to object?"
"You, don't talk nonsense!" Delisha had no experience with this kind of thing and didn't know how to refute it.
"My true form is a succubus, and I'm most sensitive to human emotions. I've already observed that Jason has feelings for you; as for Bessalie, don't worry, she only has a business relationship with Jason, no romantic feelings for him. So, just go ahead and make your move!"
Delisha gradually calmed down and stopped panicking. Feigning aloofness, she said, "We Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiend have always been about having sex but no love. When I want to have children, I can just find a few members of my clan."
You're lying.
"I'm not lying!"
Jason's consciousness suddenly remembered. "Madam, could we take a detour? I can sense where my wife and the others are."
Jason and Clear Spring have a soul contract. Previously, due to the distance, he could only vaguely sense the general direction, but now he has suddenly made contact and feels that they are in a certain area in the southern part of the Kaluosha Continent.
"Huh?" Delisha exclaimed in surprise, then calmed down and said, "Oh, okay, you can figure out the route yourself."
"Okay." Jason's consciousness disappeared, and a few minutes later, the airship he was in accelerated to the front, leading the other two airships.
Freya said, "It'll be too late if you don't act now. Or are you planning to kill Jason's wife and then take him for yourself?"
You're so annoying!
The route was changed, but the journey was still the same. Infernal Realm may be dangerous, but that's only for the weak. The Rhine Clan has three top-tier Six-Star Fiend, plus ten Highgod Demon. As long as they aren't targeted by anyone with ulterior motives, they won't be in any danger.
However, unexpected things can happen occasionally.
"There shouldn't be any large bandit groups here according to the map. Is this a recently formed group?" Jason looked at the latest map of the Infernal Realm he had bought earlier and felt that he had gotten into trouble for his family.
After exchanging a few words with Delisha and the others, Jason flew out of the Metallic Airship: "Gentlemen, we're just passing by, could you please do us a favor?"
The other party seemed to be communicating, and only replied a few minutes later.
"Everyone over there, line up for inspection!" the robbers said arrogantly.
"Damn it, do you think you're a tollbooth?" Jason cursed inwardly, but realizing they were looking for someone, he patiently pleaded, "Gentlemen, we assure you we're just passing through and have absolutely nothing to do with you. Please do us a favor."
"Stop talking nonsense, or I'll kill you!"
"You're really asking for it!" Jason cursed, then said to the men behind him, "You protect the family."
After saying that, Jason rushed over.
All the Highgod present flew out of the Metallic Airship and surrounded it.
This band of bandits was quite strong; their leader possessed the strength of Six-Star Fiend, capable of holding his own against Jason for a while. He also had seven Highgod subordinates and over a thousand Midgod bandits. Jason, fighting alone, was surprisingly at a disadvantage for a time.
Seeing this, Delisha was a little worried. "You protect the family, I'll go help."
Having said that, he transformed into lightning and charged forward.
"Tsk tsk tsk." Freya scoffed softly.
Bessalie was right next to her. "Are you teasing Delisha again?"
"Delisha is quite shrewd and capable, but when it comes to emotions, she's completely like a child." Freya grinned mischievously, seemingly lost in thought.
Bessalie shook her head. "You'd better be careful. Jason's strength is such that he could hold out for a while even against Seven Star Fiend."
Bessalie didn't reveal Jason's full strength, but her words still had a significant deterrent effect on the surrounding Demon. Unfortunately, the target Bessalie wanted to intimidate remained unmoved.
"Even the strongest person is just an ordinary person when it comes to emotions. Now that you mention it, I'm even tempted to have a deeper conversation with him." Freya licked her lips.
"You really are a succubus," Bessalie said with a helpless expression.
Freya persisted, "By the way, you don't seem like a married person."
"No, I don't care if someone likes me or not, and I don't care if someone likes me or not," Bessalie without any attempt to hide it.
"You'll never get married like this!"
The battle lasted for over an hour, with two peak-level Six-Star Fiend dominating a band of bandits blocking their path. If it weren't for the fact that their leader cultivated the Elemental Laws of Earth, which excelled in defense, the battle would have ended much earlier.
Jason and Delisha flew over side by side.
"Recently, several city lords in Wild Sand Prefecture have died en masse, causing some unrest. The bandits we just saw were looking for the son of one of those city lords," Jason briefly explained the information he had just received.
Bessalie said nonchalantly, "Shall we set off again?"
Jason thought for a moment and said, "Why don't you guys find a place to settle down first, and I'll go look for a place on my own and then meet up with you later?"
Unless the Lord of the Manor dies and the Seven Star Fiend engage in a chaotic battle, nothing can stop him from reuniting with his wife and daughters, but the members of the Rhine Clan are afraid.
After discussing it, the group decided it was time to pause for a while.
"We've been flying for over eighty years, it would be good to take a short break." Delisha finally agreed to Jason's request.
