Plans for What Came Next
The factory fell silent at once.
Eleven pairs of eyes focused on Kong Fuxian.
Kong Fuxian's expression was calm. His voice was quiet, but every word reached everyone's ears clearly.
"The plan is simple."
"Keep looking for cannon fodder."
Kong Fuxian paused, then began to explain in detail.
"We'll approach the various Secret Martial Arts forces, families, and groups one by one."
"Those willing to join our Ten Thousand Immortals Cult will be accepted as peripheral forces."
"Those who refuse..."
Kong Fuxian's eyes turned cold.
"Wipe out their entire family."
He spoke as though it were nothing.
Taking lives and seizing what they wanted was just an everyday affair for them.
"Then there's our long-term task."
"Next, we'll select suitable locations in every city center."
"And set up the 'Heaven and Earth Eight Trigrams Blood Sacrifice Grand Formation.'"
"Then we'll repeat what we did last night."
"Gather blood and refine blood pills."
"We'll use them to strengthen the cult."
When he finished, the others reacted in different ways.
Some rubbed their hands excitedly.
"Wonderful."
"At last, we can refine blood pills on a large scale."
"Now, the rate at which we grow stronger will increase severalfold."
Others remained silent and indifferent, or looked thoughtful.
Though they did not say much, they also agreed with the plan.
Really, it was little different from what they usually did.
But among them,
A middle-aged man who looked to be in his forties and had a scholarly air frowned slightly.
He hesitated for a few seconds, then spoke up.
"Senior Brother Kong."
Everyone turned to look at him.
The middle-aged man was named Lu Wenyuan. Among the twelve true disciples, he was considered one of the more mild-mannered.
He weighed his words.
"The task the cult leader assigned us was to dismantle the upper ranks of the authorities and infiltrate Self-Circulating City."
"So we only need to carry out the original mission."
"There's no need to kill people on a large scale and refine pills, plunging living beings into misery, is there?"
"How is that any different from what the demonic sects do?"
The moment the middle-aged man finished speaking,
"Hahaha!"
A burly bald man nearby immediately burst out laughing, his laughter full of mockery.
"Lu Wenyuan, are you fucking dreaming?"
He stepped forward and stared at Lu Wenyuan.
"They're just a bunch of native ants. So what if they die? Why should we care?"
"If they can give us a little help before they die, making us stronger so we can deal with those divine machinists in Self-Circulating City,"
"That's their honor."
Another young woman also spoke coldly.
"The fighting on the front lines is deadlocked. Hundreds of cult disciples are killed or wounded every day."
"And you're still talking about compassion and benevolence here?"
She scoffed.
"What a joke."
Lu Wenyuan opened his mouth, wanting to say something.
But then, an old man who had remained silent all this time spoke slowly.
"Wenyuan."
The old man was the eldest among them and held some authority.
He looked at Lu Wenyuan, his voice aged but forceful.
"We came here to conquer in the first place."
"These natives are not our compatriots."
"They're resources."
"Just like mineral deposits, spiritual herbs, and demonic beasts."
The old man's gaze was frighteningly calm.
"When it comes to resources, you use them when the time comes."
"They aren't qualified to be treated as people."
Lu Wenyuan fell silent.
He looked at his fellow disciples around him.
Some were mocking, some indifferent, and some impatient.
But none of them seemed to share his thoughts.
In the end, he sighed. One person's opinion carried limited weight; there was no use saying more.
He could only shake his head and say nothing further.
Someone else brought up the operation last night, a trace of concern in his voice.
"The Earth Condemnation Bureau and the Sturgeon Group both suffered heavy casualties in last night's operation. They must be furious."
"They'll certainly gather their forces afterward to wipe us out."
"Senior Brother Kong, then we..."
"Don't panic," Kong Fuxian interrupted him.
"Previously, our main task was to test the formation, so we focused on lying low."
"Now that the formation is complete, why should we continue hiding?"
"We might as well meet them head-on."
He looked around at everyone, his voice proud.
"Of all cultivation systems, only that of the divine machinists can compare with our Ten Thousand Immortals Cult's. The rest are ants, not worth mentioning."
"Besides, the cult will send more disciples to the outer city to assist us."
"So..."
Kong Fuxian's gaze sharpened.
"There's no need to fear the Earth Condemnation Bureau."
"If we encounter them, we fight."
"However many they send, we'll kill them all. Why should we worry or be afraid?"
"Throwing the entire outer city into chaos would be even more advantageous for us."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
The Yi Kingdom's combat strength was simply too weak.
The so-called Secret Martial Arts, enhanced humans, and modified humans were nothing but trash in their eyes.
Only divine machinists could stand against them.
After hearing this, the more battle-hungry among them even waved their fists excitedly.
"We should have done this long ago."
"We've been stifled for so long. We can finally cut loose."
Next, everyone discussed a few more details.
Which cities each person would be responsible for, the allocation of resources, how to contact one another...
An hour later.
The meeting ended.
Everyone left the factory one after another.
Soon, Kong Fuxian was the only one left inside.
He stood where he was, the calm on his face gradually disappearing.
It was replaced by a dark expression.
He pulled out his phone and called Chen Yixi again.
"The number you have dialed is switched off..."
A cold automated voice came from the other end.
Kong Fuxian's eyes turned cold.
Just then, footsteps sounded behind him.
A young man emerged from the shadows.
He was ordinary-looking, appearing to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight, with a buzz cut and a fierce air about him.
He was Wang Yuan, one of the core disciples, at the Wolf Smoke Realm.
"Senior Brother Kong," Wang Yuan said bluntly, "I'm afraid Junior Sister Chen is more likely dead than alive."
Kong Fuxian turned around.
He could not get through to her, and there had been no word from her.
Naturally, he had his own suspicions.
He tightened his grip.
"Crack!"
The phone was crushed to pieces.
Fragments of metal and circuit board slipped from his hand and fell to the floor.
Kong Fuxian's face was dark as he said in a deep voice,
"We must find Junior Sister Chen."
"Alive or dead, we need to see her."
"Yes, Senior Brother." Wang Yuan nodded.
"And that Su Han..." Kong Fuxian's face darkened like still water at the mention of Su Han.
He had never imagined that he would be blackmailed by a native like that.
Not only had Su Han obtained the next two cultivation techniques from him,
He had also shown no regard for his word.
But he could not simply kill him either. After all, Su Han had broken through to the Hundred Refinements Realm in such a short time.
That kind of talent could already be compared with Li Heng'e, who possessed immense resources and status.
He was definitely hiding a considerable secret, and Kong Fuxian had to obtain it.
He looked at Wang Yuan and instructed him,
"Wang Yuan, lead a team yourself. You must bring Su Han before me alive."
"Understood."
Wang Yuan nodded in acknowledgment and strode out of the factory.
