The Late Aurors
Golden-purple lightning and black snake flames collided and suddenly fell from the top of the cave to the ground, causing a violent explosion.
The entire underground passageway exploded with a deafening roar, and countless fragments of rock fell away.
Hermione and the others covered their ears, staring in utter horror at the boy at the very front.
The Auror who arrived slowly were also shocked by what they saw.
The Auror arrived so late, but it's really not their fault.
Gringotts' underground vault is protected by numerous protective and isolation charms, essentially preventing external detection.
If it weren't for the intense magical activity here, the Ministry of Magic wouldn't be able to detect the battle taking place here.
This is why, even though the Ministry of Magic is located in London, they arrived so slowly.
Rufus Scrimgeour, the Head of the Auror Office, stood at the forefront, gazing at the ongoing battle.
He hadn't seen a battle of this scale in a long time, and he squinted as he watched the two fighting.
Even the Auror with slightly better eyesight saw the black-robed wizard, and even more so the young wizard who was manipulating the purple-gold lightning spell!
In particular, Zhou Shen exudes a terrifyingly immense magical power that is neither scientific nor magical; it is simply fantastical!
Let alone a child, even ten adult wizards couldn't possess such immense magical power... unless he grew up eating Philosopher's Stone (Jinkela)!
The black-robed wizard also narrowed his peculiar triangular eyes, his feelings far more complex than his relaxed demeanor suggested.
He didn't care about Nicolas Flamel, the Auror, or the Ministry of Magic, but he couldn't tolerate being defeated by a child once again, eleven years later, having just returned to London!
This is an insult to the great Voldemort.
That damned Dumbledore, you deserve to die!
The black-robed wizard cursed the old man while simultaneously harboring intense murderous intent towards the boy.
That immense magical power undoubtedly came from Fawkes.
However, the boy also possessed magical skills far surpassing those of the junior wizard. Otherwise, a massive surge of magical power would be like a child's magical riot... No matter how terrifying the power, if it cannot be controlled, it is merely a riot, not magic!
Just as he was getting angry, another golden-purple lightning bolt, its color deepening, struck down in an instant!
William swung his wand rapidly, unleashing a torrent of magic that poured from his fingers, cascading down his head and shoulders.
He could feel Fawkes's power dissipating little by little in the air. He needed to seize this power to cast the spell he wanted to cast in the time loop, but lacked the magic power for.
In fact, he doesn't need to use any complicated magic at all. Fawkes's own power amplification is enough to greatly increase the power of his spells.
In other words, even if he were to casually unleash a Stupefy now, its power could be so great that it could leave the enemy unconscious for days.
This is the power of the phoenix.
William is currently using magic to wear down his opponent, just as the black-robed wizard previously used dragon breath to deplete his magic.
The only difference is that their positions have been completely reversed.
Under this relentless onslaught, the black-robed wizard could only vaguely see the once towering black flame, which had shrunk to a small snake, flowing and slithering around him to resist the magical attacks.
The black-robed wizard sighed. Without his own body, this host body could only allow him to perform to this extent.
But for him at his peak, this was just a warm-up.
He was naturally reluctant to leave. Having not used his magic for eleven years, he couldn't help but feel a little excited when he held the wand again.
Unfortunately, he had accumulated too little power, and his body could not sustain it for much longer.
Most importantly, the strength he had painstakingly accumulated over the years was almost completely exhausted, and he was back to square one overnight.
He will enter a long period of dormancy.
"Let's go." The black-robed wizard sighed softly.
With black flames blocking his way, he transformed into a wisp of black mist, flying towards the sky like a bat, where a gap had been left beforehand.
As they were about to leave Gringotts, he suddenly turned around and exchanged a deep look with William.
"The Dark Lord will return with terror, and when he comes back, the sky will be plunged into darkness, the earth will wail in agony... and you will all be utterly destroyed!"
After muttering a few words, the black-robed wizard suddenly pointed his wand at the sky.
"Morsmordre!"
A dazzling green skull, with a tongue sticking out like a snake's forked tongue.
A commotion arose from the crowd. The Dark Mark... Whenever the Death Eaters broke into a building... wherever they killed someone... they left this mark...
But this mark hasn't appeared for eleven years.
"Seal off all the exits for the Auror! We must not let him leave!" Scrimgeour shouted.
William slumped to the ground, the phoenix flames around him slowly dissipating. Magic flowed through his body, but that immense power also rapidly diminished along with the flames.
Seeing the black-robed wizard escape, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Relax, child, drink this Potions. The Phoenix's Blessing isn't so easily accepted." Nicolas Flamel approached.
William looked at the old man, took the Potions but hadn't drunk it yet, when Cornelius Fudge ran over in a panic.
Umbridge was following behind him... It seems the two of them were together after leaving the Order of Merlin award ceremony.
"The black-robed wizard has escaped!" shouted a man wearing a scarlet robe and a ponytail.
He pointed to the cave ceiling and shouted, "I saw it, Mr. Fudge! That escaped black-robed wizard fired the Dark Mark!"
"I know, Olsen, I know, I saw it too!"
Fudge Grawp, panting and disheveled, as if he had just finished a marathon.
"My God—here—here— Gringotts! By Merlin —it's unbelievable—I mean—how could this be—?"
"Son, did you get a good look at that person?" Fudge walked up to William and asked anxiously.
Fudge had just arrived when he saw a black-robed wizard casting Dark Mark in mid-air.
"I couldn't see clearly; he was completely wrapped in a black robe!"
William drank the Potions given to him by Nicolas Flamel in one gulp, and the pain in his body finally began to subside. He spat out a mouthful of blood, and his head began to feel drowsy.
"What exactly happened? Merlin, what on earth has occurred here?"
"I want to ask you what happened!" William said angrily.
If it weren't for Fawkes ' sudden arrival and his unreasonable and domineering infusion of magic into him... his entire family, including Hermione's family, would probably be dead by now!
During this long period of time, not a single Goblin from Gringotts showed up, until the Auror from the Ministry of Magic appeared!
Those damned guys.
