Conflict
Seeing that he couldn't get much useful information from William, Fudge turned to look at the Ministry of Magic officials.
"Go investigate quickly! We absolutely cannot let that black-robed wizard get away!" Fudge shouted.
"Get moving, everyone! Don't just stand around here!"
"Minister, Director Scrimgeour has already taken the Auror in pursuit," someone said.
"Who? Rufus?" Fudge breathed a sigh of relief. "It's good that he's here; he shouldn't let them get away."
Fudge was also the Minister of the Department of Magical Catastrophes back then, and he worked on the front lines for a long time; otherwise, he wouldn't have had the opportunity to become the Minister for Magic.
Therefore, he was well aware of the abilities of his wizards, especially the Head of the Auror Office.
Although the other party disagreed with him politically, to be fair, Scrimgeour devoted most of his energy to fighting dark wizards after starting his career, and he was a very capable person.
"Minister, we've found a few Muggle here. They saw something they shouldn't have. Should we erase their memories?"
Just then, a sweet voice suddenly rang out behind Fudge, Umbridge appeared beside him, swaying her hips.
She had just come with Fudge, and the minister had promised to transfer her out of the Auror department, so she naturally wanted to take this opportunity to show off her special relationship with the minister.
Using grand gestures and exaggerated claims is her favorite thing to do.
"What? You want to erase our memories? You can't do that! We need an explanation! My son almost died!"
Roy angrily clenched his fist.
Iris rolled up her sleeves, "You can't treat us like this! My daughter is a witch! I demand an apology, I demand an explanation!"
Anne and Hermione were squatting on the ground, using Potions to treat William's wounds. Upon hearing this, they were also extremely angry.
You can't treat us like this!
"Muggle must have their memories erased," Umbridge said with disgust. "If you don't want to go to Azkaban, you'd better behave."
She walked over, a fake smile on her face, "Obliviate, it's a very simple incantation, don't worry, right?"
All eyes were on Umbridge, which made her feel extremely comfortable, inside and out.
Not long ago, her situation wasn't very good, but now she's intoxicated by the attention she's receiving!
Little did they know, several Auror who remained behind rolled their eyes and muttered "idiot" under their breath.
The boy was clearly in a bad mood, and to provoke a wizard who had just fought a battle with Death Eaters at this time was practically courting death.
Well, it's all because Umbridge arrived too late and missed that thrilling battle.
The problem is, William in a much worse mood than he is right now. Although the pain in his body has lessened, it is still quite painful.
Having taken Nicolas Flamel's Potions, he was drowsy and had to force himself to stay awake to answer the Ministry of Magic's questions, which made him extremely impatient.
I also saw Bertha Jorkins during the day; she's often forgetful, so it's highly likely she's been cursed with Memory Charm.
Umbridge, that woman, clearly got to where she is through sweet talk.
If she is not skilled in magic, or if her movements are even slightly rough, it will seriously affect her parents' memory.
Of course she'd be rude; didn't you see the disgust in her tone when she mentioned Muggle?
William narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "I will alter my parents' memories; you don't need to lift a finger!"
"Oh, child," Umbridge smiled sweetly, "The Memory Charm is a complicated spell. Has the Order of Merlin made you arrogant?"
Come on, we all know what happened. A little wizard accidentally captured Death Eaters; he just got lucky. You think you're so great?
Also, underage wizards are not allowed to cast spells outside of school. As an Auror, I warn you, don't try to stop me again..."
But the next moment, Umbridge only felt a breeze on his face, and then he was shot backward by a red light and crashed into the rock wall.
Fudge was shocked and turned to look. He saw a huge stone hand reaching out from the wall, gripping Umbridge's neck. Her back was pressed against the rock wall, and her feet were off the ground.
All the Auror who had followed Fudge pointed their wands at William.
William slowly rose to his feet, a phoenix perched on his left shoulder, his right hand gripping his wand.
Although he was pale and looked unwell, no one doubted that he was just a "lucky little wizard" because of his ability to knock Umbridge down with a single blow and his superb Transfiguration.
Most importantly, the boy remained so calm in the face of five or six Auror, his arrogance was truly chilling.
Lyanna and Emily, standing at the very back, covered their mouths, trying not to gasp. They had been through too much tonight and were already overwhelmed.
Roy and Iris both gasped in shock.
They're just engaging in empty rhetoric and making a few noises to maintain their own power; they can't actually confront the Ministry of Magic.
Fudge also stared at William, taking this Dumbledore student seriously for the first time.
Like Umbridge, he had previously thought that William had captured Tywin through the school's professors... after all, the signs of battle at the scene were not something a junior wizard could have caused.
Now it seems that this is not the case.
--Another Dumbledore genius wizard?
Nicolas Mailer stood alone in the corner, observing the scene before him. Unlike the shock and fear of the others, this elderly man, who rarely appeared in public, found it quite amusing.
After looking at the others, he turned his gaze to the two girls behind William.
Anne and Hermione were both stunned and stood frozen in place when they saw William attack Umbridge.
But Anne's feelings were more of an admiration for her brother. She had witnessed William fight off the dragon, defeat the black-robed wizard, and knock down the old witch who wanted to cast a spell... Her brother was practically omnipotent!
Hermione, however, had a completely different mindset.
She watched as blood flowed again from William's wrist, and a hint of tears welled in her bright, beautiful eyes. Her knuckles were white as she gripped the grapewood wand tightly, as if she were about to rush out without hesitation if anything else happened.
"Put down your wands!" Scrimgeour strode over.
He shouted sternly, "This child just fought off that dark wizard and protected the Muggle! What are you all doing? Don't you want to work anymore?!"
At his command, all the Auror laid down their wands.
"Can you let her go, child?" Scrimgeour glanced at Umbridge with disgust, then turned his gaze to William.
William nodded. He could feel the phoenix power within him completely waning. He waved his wand and gently placed the unconscious Umbridge back on the ground.
Scrimgeour sighed inwardly. This child was truly ruthless to the enemy and even more ruthless to himself.
Despite his seemingly effortless victory over Umbridge, he had sustained serious injuries during his previous battle with the black-robed wizard, and the blood that had just begun to dry was now seeping out again in large quantities.
It seems unlikely that it will fully recover in the short term.
That's ruthless!
