The Prefects' Compartment
Harry loved riding the Hogwarts Express.
Sitting in a hard seat all day really makes my butt uncomfortable.
However, this is one of only two opportunities each year for him to spend time together in the same room.
For example, right now... he figured out the technique, and the two of them can sit together with less than 5cm apart.
That's the distance a cherry blossom travels in a single second!
If Ron were a little fatter and the space a little narrower... he and she could...
Oh ho ho!
Autumn suddenly stood up.
Harry was trying to close the distance when he stumbled and nearly fell on Cedric.
Oh no, have we been found out?
Then Harry watched helplessly as Cho and Cedric left together.
No, don't go... especially don't go with him!
That's my bottom line!
As the two disappeared from sight, Harry felt his heart break.
"Harry, what's wrong?" Ron had already stood up and sat in Cho's seat, resting Harry's head on his lap.
"Qiu... where did they go?"
"Those three are Prefect; Prefect have their own Prefect rooms."
Ron glanced enviously at the badge on William's chest, watched him whisper something in Hermione's ear, and then followed him out.
Harry suddenly realized, and immediately remembered Percy's shiny badge.
Oh, it was the Prefect... That's great, he almost misunderstood.
I still have a chance!
Because of Percy, Harry didn't have many thoughts about the Prefect.
But... now he yearns for it immensely, and he wears a badge around his neck.
That way, he could go to the Prefect's carriage with Qiu.
The two might even be paired up to patrol the corridors and help the novice wizards.
He talked about Quidditch and told a few funny jokes, making Cho laugh so hard he couldn't stop...
It's done!!
Ron asked in a nonchalant tone:
"Harry, who do you think will be the Prefect next year?"
The Prefect is definitely Hermione... She's always number one in her year, she's done so much, and she even earned several badges with William, making her increasingly famous.
If it's a boy...
Harry and Ron's hearts pounded.
Honestly, their grades weren't even among the best in Gryffindor House, let alone their grade level.
Last year, they lost hundreds of points, causing Gryffindor to set an unprecedented record.
Their grades aren't good enough... and they don't have any other heroic deeds to boast about.
Does protecting the Philosopher's Stone count in first grade? Hermione was practically cheating the whole time, leading the way to the finish line.
In the end, Harry was also saved by William.
In his second year, Ron was so captivated by the diary that he eventually tricked Harry into entering the Chamber of Secrets.
Harry also caused Tom to come back to life.
Similarly, William and Tom had a major battle.
Third grade... Ugh, don't even mention it.
The fact that they're still alive... well, as Mrs. Weasley said, means they must have saved the solar system in a past life.
Not only are her grades bad, but she also doesn't have any special talents. What makes her qualified to be Prefect?
Harry's Quidditch skills? Gryffindor has never won the Quidditch Cup!
Harry blushed when he said he was good at Quidditch.
Harry and Ron both sighed.
No, I have to be an active participant this year.
They need to let Professor McGonagall see their performance!
Prefect... I'm going to have you!
The two of them made a silent decision at the same time.
William walked down the corridor, surrounded by people pointing and whispering.
Wizards kept opening the carriage doors, greeting people familiarly. Many were also asking if this year's shopping festival would still be held.
Around this time last year, Akali's Mystery Shop held a massive sale on a train.
The scale and quantity are enormous... It's so satisfying to take advantage of these deals when everyone has some pocket money.
Want to buy a big item but don't have enough money?
Akali's Mystery Shop offers installment payments with low fees, especially when spread out monthly... it's practically free.
That's how the propaganda works... Whether you believe it or not, I believe it.
Upon hearing that there was another discount, everyone praised Akali's Mystery Shop for its generosity.
Especially with installment payments, many young wizards started calling William... Daddy Stark.
He inexplicably exudes the aura of Tony, the world's richest man.
The Prefect's carriage was in carriage C. When William and his group arrived, it was already quite late, and the carriage was full of students.
Each college selects one boy and one girl from the fifth year to serve as Prefect.
I will continue to hold this position until I graduate.
Therefore, each college will have 6 Prefect at the same time, for a total of 24 people across the four colleges.
Including male and female student chairpersons... the number will range from twenty-four to twenty-six.
The reason is simple: the presidents of the male and female student councils are usually chosen from among the Prefect, but it's not mandatory.
William had heard Professor Lupin mention that he was the Prefect of Gryffindor that year.
However, James Potter ultimately became the president of the student council.
With so many students, it's much larger than a regular train carriage, and it even has velvet-padded seats.
Compared to regular train carriages, this is the difference between soft seats and hard seats.
I heard that the professor's carriage even has a large bed, the kind specifically for taking a nap.
This is a soft sleeper berth!
William considered himself... although he received a meager salary and was nominally an agent... he was, in a way, Ancient Runes teacher.
Since there are no other professors on the train, there shouldn't be any problem with him riding in the professors' private carriage, right?
We could even take Hermione inside for a whole day... wouldn't that be wonderful?
William was lost in thought, glancing around casually. Most of the people around him were acquaintances.
However, the atmosphere changed noticeably after he came in.
Most of the Prefect stood up, looking a little nervous, as if they had seen Dumbledore.
There's no way around it; when a student has too many accolades, other students will inexplicably feel pressured.
Especially since quite a few students witnessed him killing the lake monster that night!
William said nothing and squeezed in with Cedric and Cho among the Ravenclaw Prefect.
The male and female student chairpersons immediately stood up and began the Prefect meeting.
Last year's student council presidents were Percy and Penelope.
Perhaps out of a sense of fairness, this semester it's Bite Macnair from Slytherin and Pamela, the Hufflepuff's upperclassman.
Everyone seemed to have had enough of Percy last year and hated bureaucratic jargon, so the meeting ended unusually quickly.
Nothing major, it was just a matter of defining the patrol area for the Prefect and the rules to be followed.
Just as William was about to get up, the student council president, Macnair, immediately coughed.
Everyone looked at him.
"There's one more thing... I think selling things on trains should be banned; it's not something students should be doing."
He forced a smile and said, "I'm not targeting anyone in particular, but selling things will cause some congestion."
William glanced at the other person and simply smiled slightly.
Macnair... one of the Pure-blood families, William is quite familiar with him.
After all, the Death Eaters secretly attacked the tent during the Quidditch World Cup was named Walton Macnair.
(Please vote for this post, everyone!)
I have an exam tomorrow, so updates might be late.
Sorry, I still have to stay up late to study.
