William Stark received his Hogwarts letter, explored the wizarding world, and arrived at school, where he was sorted into Ravenclaw. His first days brought pranks, new friendships, and a disastrous Potions lesson that left Snape covered in boils.
William earned Ravenclaw points through dangerous classroom rescues while learning that Hagrid was hiding an illegally acquired three-headed dog. After Snape was taken for questioning, William helped Hagrid and Charlie move Fluffy into the Room of Requirement, where a break-in at Snape’s storeroom drew the professors’ attention.
William discovered that the Ravenclaw Bronze Ring had trapped him in a repeating day as Professor Tywin used it while plotting to resurrect James Potter. Dumbledore explained the ring’s purpose and told William the loop would end when he saved Hagrid and Robert, captured Tywin, and understood the affair.
William used the Ravenclaw Ring’s time loop to train, uncover Tywin’s crimes, and bring him down. After returning to ordinary time and finishing his first year, William reunited with his family and met Hermione.
William received the Order of Merlin and survived Voldemort’s attack on Gringotts with Fawkes’s blessing, then recovered and returned to Hogwarts with Hermione and Neville. He left the stretch with greater magical power, a resolve to help Neville’s parents, and Akali’s Mystery Shop underway.
William began his first year at Hogwarts, built friendships and expanded his magical business while exploring the school’s defenses with his friends. The group reached Dumbledore’s office, and William joined Ravenclaw’s Quidditch tryouts as the school year continued.
William’s pursuit of Quirrell’s secret leads to a series of pranks, a disastrous encounter with the Merpeople, and a journey to Nicolas’s birthday gathering. The arc ends with Nicolas beginning to tell William his own story about Death and the Three Brothers.
William learned Nicolas Flamel’s search for the Deathly Hallows, then helped the centaurs fight Voldemort and became entangled in the aftermath of Quirrell’s death. During Ravenclaw’s Quidditch match, a Basilisk attacked Hogwarts, and Dumbledore urged William to use Ravenclaw's Ring to save the dead students, including Harry.
William completed his time-loop training, killed the Basilisk, and returned to the moment of the Quidditch match before winning Ravenclaw the House Cup. He settled into a summer home with Hermione and Anne, trained Hermione, and prepared to begin his Animagus transformation while Anne received her Hogwarts letter.
William became an Animagus, helped Harry and Ron survive their flight into the Whomping Willow, and returned to Hogwarts for the start of the year. There, Luna and Anne were sorted into Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, Lockhart took up his teaching post, and William began investigating the Bowtruckles and Ravenclaw’s Diadem.
William navigated school rivalries, investigated the attacks connected to the Chamber of Secrets, and helped Ravenclaw face Slytherin in a Quidditch match. The match ended when Colin Creevey was attacked, and the students began carrying Clabberts as warnings.
William and his allies uncovered the diary’s role in the attacks, but Lockhart’s exposure and Hagrid’s arrest led to Dumbledore’s suspension. As an Acromantula army advanced on Hogwarts, William prepared to follow Dumbledore’s signal while Riddle entered the Chamber of Secrets.
Harry and William confronted Tom Riddle in the Chamber of Secrets, where Riddle escaped after his body was destroyed and began seeking Slytherin’s legacy. In Paris, William and Hermione searched for Newt Scamander’s stolen case, became wanted by the French Ministry, and realized the case had been lost near the Louvre.
William and Hermione uncovered Arya’s plan to destroy Paris and stopped the nuclear bomb hidden inside Norbert, then returned to the coast with their families. Their beach holiday ended when a swarm of Dementors approached William.
William and his friends survived a Dementor attack, rescued Anne and Gabrielle from a Werewolf pack, and escaped the Thunderbird’s island. After returning to Britain and boarding the Hogwarts Express, William faced the Thunderbird again as it attacked the train.
William returned to Hogwarts amid Thunderbird attacks, Dementor patrols, and trouble in Hagrid’s classes while learning more about Arya, Grindelwald, and the Deathly Hallows. Babbling recruited him to cover Ancient Runes while she prepared to infiltrate Tom Riddle’s organization in America.
William and Hermione traveled back in time to stop a Dementor invasion of Hogwarts and discovered that a Dementor had taken Ravenclaw’s Diadem, which contained a piece of Voldemort’s soul. They destroyed the soul fragment while preserving the Diadem, and learned of three other Horcrux clues.
William and Dumbledore investigated the Gaunt Shack and learned more about Voldemort’s Horcruxes, while the school dealt with Buckbeak’s case and an anonymous Christmas gift mystery. Hermione uncovered that Sirius Black had been appearing as Dahei, and Lupin’s confession led William and Dumbledore to suspect that Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew.
William investigated Sirius Black’s claims that Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew while organizing a House-elf delivery service and helping Sirius remain hidden. Ravenclaw won the Quidditch championship, and the students moved into their end-of-year exams.
William and Hermione helped expose Peter Pettigrew’s schemes at Hogwarts, but Peter escaped and Voldemort began preparing to return. In Venice, they discovered the Goblet of Fire was fake, escaped the Ministry’s search, and pursued clues to the Holy Grail before Trene revealed they were surrounded.
