William and Hermione traveled back in time to stop a Dementor invasion of Hogwarts and discovered that a Dementor had taken Ravenclaw’s Diadem, which contained a piece of Voldemort’s soul. They destroyed the soul fragment while preserving the Diadem, and learned of three other Horcrux clues.

• William mourned Norbert with Hagrid, then captured and released Fire Kiss after learning she was Ronan’s sister and had been testing him.
• William discovered that Sanmao had broken Dahei’s cage lock, rebuilt Ravenclaw’s Quidditch team, and began preparing for the season.
• William and Hermione met MACUSA Auror Mera Picquery, who sought the Thunderbird and help for Newt, while Hermione, Ginny, and Luna were caught sneaking into Hogsmeade.
• After Snape imprisoned Ron for selling photographs of him, Dementors invaded Hogwarts, and Dumbledore sent William and Hermione back in time to stop them.
• William and Hermione lured most of the Dementors into a hidden room, but one found a rusty diadem and another Dementor put it on.
• The diadem-wearing Dementor claimed to embody Ravenclaw’s will, then Voldemort appeared through it and fought William and Hermione.
• William destroyed the giant Dementor with flaming Patronuses, then sent Little Black Robe to consume the soul fragment inside the Diadem.
• The Dementor recalled Voldemort’s diary, Slytherin’s Ring, and the Gaunt Shack when William asked about the other Horcruxes.

William and Dumbledore investigated the Gaunt Shack and learned more about Voldemort’s Horcruxes, while the school dealt with Buckbeak’s case and an anonymous Christmas gift mystery. Hermione uncovered that Sirius Black had been appearing as Dahei, and Lupin’s confession led William and Dumbledore to suspect that Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew.

• William learned from Dumbledore that Ron might be affected by suggestive magic, then showed him Ravenclaw’s Diadem and discussed Voldemort’s search for a Hogwarts post.
• William and Dumbledore visited the Gaunt Shack, where they found Lockhart’s corpse and a cursed ring, but Tom’s voice and a magical blizzard revealed that the Horcrux had been taken.
• William helped Hagrid prepare for Buckbeak’s hearing while Fudge considered the case, and Christmas brought William, Hermione, Anne, and Harry anonymous Firebolts and other costly gifts.
• At Nicolas’s estate, Nicolas explained that Ravenclaw’s Diadem had already been ruined by age and that repairing it might require Slytherin’s Wand to unlock the Book of Alchemy.
• Hermione realized that Black could be an unregistered Animagus who took the form of Dahei, and she and William went to warn Dumbledore.
• Lupin confessed that Black, James, and Peter had become Animagi, and William connected Peter’s rat form to Scabbers as Dumbledore summoned Ron and the rat.

William investigated Sirius Black’s claims that Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew while organizing a House-elf delivery service and helping Sirius remain hidden. Ravenclaw won the Quidditch championship, and the students moved into their end-of-year exams.

• William concluded that Peter Pettigrew was hiding as Scabbers and later helped Hermione and Anne find Sirius, who confirmed that Peter had betrayed James and Lily and framed him.
• William and Hermione told Sirius that Scabbers had died, helped him stay hidden, and withheld the story from Harry until they could find proof against Peter.
• William organized Kiki's Delivery Service, hiring unemployed House-elves to deliver orders and arranging for Mars to train them.
• Harry and Ron helped Hagrid prepare to appeal Buckbeak’s sentence, while Hermione slapped Malfoy after he mocked Hagrid.
• Professor McGonagall punished Harry, Wood, and Ron for sneaking to Hogsmeade, leaving Gryffindor with a severe points deficit before its final against Ravenclaw.
• William scored for Ravenclaw in the final, and Cho helped Harry reach the Snitch, but Harry caught it too late to prevent Ravenclaw’s 160-point victory.
• William completed his exams with full marks in Transfiguration and Potions and finished Lupin’s Defence Against the Dark Arts course first.

William and Hermione helped expose Peter Pettigrew’s schemes at Hogwarts, but Peter escaped and Voldemort began preparing to return. In Venice, they discovered the Goblet of Fire was fake, escaped the Ministry’s search, and pursued clues to the Holy Grail before Trene revealed they were surrounded.

• William and Hermione uncovered Peter’s Polyjuice plot, but Peter escaped after attacking Harry, leaving Sirius without proof of his innocence.
• William relayed Trelawney’s prophecy to Dumbledore, helped Lupin find work at Akali’s Mystery Shop, and ended the school year with Hermione ranked first.
• Peter found Voldemort in Albania and brought him Bertha Jorkins, whom Voldemort planned to use while preparing his return.
• William dreamed of a prophecy about Venice and the Holy Grail, then traveled there with Hermione to deliver Dumbledore’s letter and collect an item for the Triwizard Tournament.
• William and Hermione found the Goblet of Fire was a fake, and Martell ordered them detained after they exposed it.
• William stunned Martell and the Aurors, escaped with Hermione, and accepted Trene’s offer to hide them at her home.
• Nicolas told William and Hermione that the Holy Grail was connected to the Goblet of Fire, and he directed them to Bathilda Bagshot for help interpreting the clues.
• William ordered Trene to take them to Bathilda, but Trene announced that they were surrounded.
