Sorting Through Memories
Although Shen Ge's memories have returned somewhat, they are fragmented. After all, she has gone through dozens of Samsara, and some memories have been completely forgotten.
His mind was in complete chaos, with memories of the Spirit Moon Sect and the Hehuan Sect constantly alternating, each trying to gain dominance.
But implanted memories are implanted memories after all. Now that Shen Ge has awakened, he can no longer allow these memories to run rampant.
In his sea of consciousness, Shen Ge formed a sword with his fingers and swung it out. The whirlwind-like Sword Qi severed all memories of the Hehuan Sect. However, he could not erase the memories of Bai Lili. Those memories seemed to be engraved in the deepest part of his mind. He could not cut them off, could not forget them, and could not let go of that love.
In the courtyard, Shen Ge opened his eyes, a complex expression flashing across them—anger and helplessness mixed, but overall, anger prevailed. "Bai Lili... Bai Lili... As expected of the Holy Maiden of the Hehuan Sect, impressive methods indeed. I must admit, you've left a mark on my heart."
"But it's just a shadow. Just wait, I'll kill you."
Suddenly, Shen Ge sighed and said, "Alas, she tricked me into giving her the Samsara Method. How hateful! Perhaps by now the Samsara Method has spread throughout the Hehuan Sect."
Shen Ge was furious just thinking about it. If he had known it would turn out this way, he would have been better off passing on the Samsara Method to Li Xue and his master directly, rather than having the Hehuan Sect possess it all by themselves now.
But it's too late to say anything now. He's already reached Luo Heaven Sea, which is some unknown distance away, and there's no going back for the time being.
As for the intercourse in the ice cave, Shen Ge didn't think it was a big deal. Although he lost his virginity, the other party did too. Overall, he had gained an advantage, otherwise he didn't know when he would have been able to break through to the Middle Golden Core Stage realm.
Although Shen Ge felt somewhat guilty towards Mu Wan, it wasn't her intention. Since it had happened... well, it had happened anyway, and there was no way to change it.
"Strange, I think I've forgotten something, something important." Shen Ge raised his hand to cover his head, shaking it as he muttered, "Damn it, it's all that woman's fault, she's made my memory all jumbled up now."
At the Hehuan Sect, Bai Lili's heart skipped a beat, interrupting her cultivation. She slowly got up and walked to the window, staring blankly at the scenery outside.
"I suddenly feel uneasy. It seems something happened to Shen Ge... Oh well, it's not important, why bother with it?"
Although she said she wouldn't care about him, Bai Lili stood by the window for a whole day.
On the other side, Bai Mei stood atop the highest peak of the Hehuan Sect, gazing quietly into the distance, while a letter lay on a rock beside her.
If you follow Bai Mei's gaze indefinitely, you'll find yourself in the South Sea, in the direction of the Spirit Moon Sect.
She didn't know how much time had passed, but Bai Mei took out a jar of fine spirit wine, poured a cup, and then poured the rest into the air, letting the wind carry it away.
She set down the wine jar, picked up the glass she had poured, faced south, and offered a perfunctory toast. "Mountains and rivers may have a return date, but life may not bring us together again. Farewell."
Donghai Bay, an inconspicuous little island.
Li Xue slowly exhaled a breath of stale air. "Finally, I've reached the Middle Golden Core Stage. This pill is indeed exceptionally potent."
Li Xue got up and brewed a pot of spiritual tea. She then took out a rocking chair and lay down by the sea, looking quite relaxed. "I wonder where Shen Ge has disappeared to. There hasn't been a single word about him for so long. He really knows how to hide."
"He hasn't been caught, has he?" Li Xue took a sip of tea, then grabbed a tree branch, made a fishing rod, and threw it into the sea. "His place is near the Hehuan Sect Hehuan Sect. Could he really have fallen into their hands?"
"That can't be right. With his strength, the Hehuan Sect wouldn't be able to capture him alive without sending several Golden Core cultivators. And we haven't heard of the Hehuan Sect making any moves recently."
Li Xue lifted a nearly ten-pound fish out of the water, then pulled it over, took it off the surface, and threw it back in.
"Well, no news is good news. If he's really in trouble, I probably can't save him anyway."
"But Spirit Moon Sect seems to be quiet lately. Are his senior brothers and sisters really not going to care about Shen Ge anymore? How heartless!"
In the Evergreen Sect, Yue Shan suddenly opened her eyes, and a violent aura emanated from her. Soon, this aura returned to her body, but a faint trace of it still lingered.
"Is this the power of the Golden Core Stage? It's indeed formidable."
Just then, a voice rang out from outside. "Congratulations, Junior Sister Yue, on breaking through to the Golden Core! A cause for celebration!"
"Senior Brother Han Yu, you'd better work hard! I've caught up with you." Yue Shan darted out of the secret chamber and came outside, looking at the person in front of her with a light laugh.
"Take your time, no rush. If Junior Sister Yue can really surpass me, I'll be happy too."
In a courtyard in a small town at the foot of the Spirit Moon Sect Mountain, Lü Yang slowly exhaled a breath of turbid air; his injuries had mostly healed.
He got up, walked out of the courtyard, bowed slightly towards the mountaintop, and then left the town.
You should know that he was able to stay here for so long only because Su Liuyun took care of him. Otherwise, he would have been captured by some people from the Spirit Moon Sect, he was probably with Shen Ge in that secret realm in the South Sea. Although he didn't fight, he was still an accomplice. If he encountered someone unreasonable, things could get complicated.
So, as soon as he recovered, he left that small town and planned to go somewhere a little further away, because he didn't want to cause trouble for others.
Inside the Spirit Moon Sect, in Su Liuyue's cave abode, it was very simple, with only a stone table, stone benches, and a bed. On the stone table were two pots of flowers, red and purple, their fragrance filling the air. It seemed that Shen Ge had placed them here before.
Beside the flowerpot lay a somewhat worn Storage Bag with several sword marks on it.
This Storage Bag belonged to Zhang Sheng. Shen Ge didn't take it at the time. It was supposed to be handed over to the sect, but Su Liuyun kept it.
Ziyang knew that Su Liuyue had taken it, but he was too embarrassed to ask for it back, so the Storage Bag remained in Su Liuyue's possession.
She hadn't even opened it. She had originally planned to give it to Shen Ge when the opportunity arose, but she hadn't seen it since Shen Ge left that time, so she just left the Storage Bag on the table.
"Su Sui, for bullying a fellow disciple without authorization, you are hereby punished to clean the Scripture Pavilion for ten years, and are forbidden from leaving!"
Su Sui lowered his head, offering no rebuttal, and replied softly, "This disciple is willing to accept punishment."
After saying that, she turned and walked out of the main hall, summoning her flying sword to head to the Scripture Pavilion.
Su Liuyue sighed softly as she watched Su Sui's retreating figure, then turned around and went to deal with other matters.
