History

Origins and Imperial Recognition

The clan grew from Qin Lu’s beginnings as a medicine-selling physician in a small town. Its earliest second-generation sons, Qin Xiao and Qin Hui, both possessed cultivation aptitude, giving the household the prospect of becoming a family with three warriors 7 345.

Qin Lu formally established an Immortal Clan under Great Zhou’s authority and chose Beichuan as its title to commemorate its origins in the northern mountains and rivers. The court appointed him principal Sima, an eighth-grade official involved in commandery military affairs. After the Xuan River Zhang Clan withdrew, the Qin took control of Yingchuan County 41 42.

Consolidation of the North

The clan organized its spirit peaks into resource sites, administrative institutions, sects, and private branch territories. Its subsequent expansion reached across three prefectures, with nine county seats and 180,000 square kilometers under direct or indirect control, excluding Eastern Mystic Sea Commandery 45 137.

After becoming a Dao Foundation power, it supported loyal subordinate forces while gradually bringing Northern Province’s major clans and sects into its system. Its marriage alliance with the Xiashang Dao Academy reinforced its position among established cultivation powers 162.

The alliance with the Nangong Clan did not prevent later conflict. Qin Xiao, Qin Hui, and their advisers engineered a pretext for war against the Southern Province. Su Qin subsequently secured the submission of the Xie and Wu families, bringing Tai Province and Hong Province into Northern Province and uniting the Northern Frontier 200 220 243.

Overseas Expansion and Great Qin

The clan established new grounds on Qin Emperor Island and expanded throughout the Eight Immortals Sea. By the time Qin Lu prepared for his Core Formation tribulation, it directly controlled hundreds of cultivation-suitable islands and roughly a thousand spiritless islands used for settlement 253 294.

Mr. Ghost Valley selected Rosy Spring Island for a new capital. The clan’s refiners, formation specialists, cultivators, and laborers transformed it into Xianyang Immortal City, centered on the floating Efang Immortal Palace. Its completion marked the proclamation of Great Qin 299.

Great Qin later adopted its own calendar and expanded its academy system. Qin Minghan became its second ruler, while successive generations of Qin descendants supplied its kings, emperors, officials, and commanders 330 403 511.

Withdrawal into the Private Heavens

Qin Lu redirected the clan’s resources toward the Fourth Heaven, reducing its public role in Great Qin as his priorities shifted toward immortality. The private domain subsequently developed through the Seventh Heaven, Eighth Heaven, and Nine Heavens 442 468 508 567.

Withdrawal did not end the clan’s control over the state. When it intervened again, its experts emerged from the Eighth Heaven and reclaimed dispersed authority. It also concealed its capabilities through controlled disclosures, restrictions on traveling disciples, and deliberate misinformation 522 535.

Qin Humans and the Two-Realm System

As its inherited bloodline traits strengthened, the clan became increasingly distinct from ordinary humanity. It formally renamed itself the Qin Humans Race in Great Qin year 1800; by year 1898, its membership exceeded thirteen million 606.

Under the later two-realm arrangement, nearly all Qin descendants withdrew from the Frost Cloud Realm. Only about a hundred remained there for inspections and to guard four strategically important large Spirit Veins. The clan’s subsequent expansion extended into the Great Qin Nebula and subordinate planes 616 629 673.

Clan Rules and Customs

Genealogy and Generation Names

Qin Lu established twenty generation characters beginning with the third generation 56:

Ming, Xin, Xuan, Ying, Dao; Ming, Qi, Zhen, Qian, Kun; Xiu, Pei, Ben, Yuan, Mao; Wan, Ye, Gu, Yong, Nian.

  • Original qualification: Descendants needed cultivation aptitude to receive a generation character and enter the genealogy, unless they had rendered outstanding service 56.
  • Early direct-line distinction: Descendants without aptitude were removed from the direct line and placed in collateral branches 229.
  • Later seven-inch threshold: Direct-line children with less than seven inches of spiritual light were demoted. Collateral descendants reaching seven inches could enter the direct bloodline and receive a generation character 694.
  • Restricted inheritance: Direct descendants could cultivate the Qin Humans’ bloodline Dao and the four core inheritances of soul, Yang, water, and lightning 694.

Selection and Advancement

Mechanism Requirement or Schedule Effect
Direct–collateral selection Ability, aptitude, and demonstrated worth Capable collateral descendants could replace weaker direct-line members 452.
Minor competitions Every ten years Selected collateral candidates for promotion and identified low-ranking core disciples for demotion 574.
Grand clan competition Every fifty years Provided formal competition among the branches 574.
Royal and imperial selection Every hundred years under the reform Selected candidates for Great Qin’s six royal thrones and imperial throne through strength-based competition 574.
Battle merits Earned through military service Required for certain rare resources and limited opportunities 548.

Qin Mingyi, Qin Minghan, Qin Mingyuan, Qin Mingzheng, and Qin Mingle jointly drafted the major reforms. They sought to keep competition transparent and reduce the influence that powerful ancestors could exert on behalf of their own branches 574.

Loyalty and Conduct

The clan placed loyalty and collective advantage above conventional morality. Qin Lu tolerated serious crimes by descendants who served the clan and did not betray it. Its education nevertheless emphasized strict laws, self-discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to deal effectively with outsiders 85 330.

Its support for fallen members’ families reinforced that loyalty: descendants of those who sacrificed themselves received cultivation resources, including Qi Condensation Pills. Later generations honored members who died pursuing power as martyrs and believed their souls would return to the Soul Dao and become part of their ancestor 294 485.

  • Reproductive incentives: Awarded one Spirit Stone per child, three for a child with aptitude, and ten when aptitude exceeded one inch 204.
  • Coercive expansion: Purchased female cultivators with good aptitude and forcibly took young female cultivators as wives in the Seven Beauties Star Domain 294 481.
  • Operational secrecy: Traveling disciples carried layered restrictions. A disciple deemed missing could be killed remotely by extinguishing the soul lamp held by the clan 535.

Abilities and Cultivation Systems

Bloodline Dao

The Qin Humans combined human cultivation with inherited Demon Race bloodline power. Qin Lu’s breakthroughs strengthened the lineage’s overall potential, while descendants could pursue traditional Dao cultivation or use their bloodlines to bear the Great Dao 567.

  • Common affinities: Wood and Soul; some descendants also inherited advantages in Poison Dao 443 606.
  • Bloodthirsty Vine inheritance: Could be introduced by fusing the vine’s origin into a descendant, awakening devouring or bloodthirsty abilities and encouraging some members to cultivate the Dao of Blood 490.
  • True Extreme Blood Refining Method: Created through Qin Yinghao’s example, Qin Xuanzi’s organization, and Qin Lu’s refinement; covered True Martial through Nascent Soul Peak 576.
  • Limit: Increasing bloodline fusion reduced fertility 567.
  • Later baseline: Every Qin Human could cultivate from birth; aptitude varied, but the category of an entirely non-cultivating mortal no longer existed within the race 718.
  • Atavism: Rare ancestral bloodline manifestations could vary greatly in strength and usefulness 718.

Bloodline Appearance

  • Qin Humans ordinarily appeared identical to humans, but awakening could produce emerald pupils, bodily patterns, plant-like skin, or wooden horns resembling dragon horns 443 606.
  • Strong Wood Demon manifestations could bring natural advantages in Spirit Plant cultivation, alchemy, and comprehension of the Wood Dao 443.

Fortune and Aptitude Improvement

  • Qin Palace: Gathered worship, Kingly Qi, and the influence of surrounding rivers. Qin Xiao used the Second-Tier structure to manifest a hundred-zhang phantom and conjure an attacking army 79 145.
  • Nine Heavens’ creation fortune: Loosened cultivation bottlenecks, increased opportunities, and improved newborn aptitude 567.
  • Cauldron Primordial Dao-Seeking Method: Used living human pills to support aptitude improvement and breakthroughs; access to suitable victims favored well-connected direct descendants 85 229 255.
  • Origin-Evolving Pills: Improved the aptitude of selected descendants, including Qin Mingle and later members of the Xuan generation 255 403.

  • Qin Coins standardized trade and helped gather Spirit Stones and other resources; the system later became part of Great Qin’s broader economic infrastructure 142 540.
  • Public inheritances: The clan released ten Dao Foundation methods to encourage people to join Great Qin, while retaining more than thirty such methods in its own collection 302.
  • Awakening Soul Tea: Bi’s Third-Tier leaves strengthened souls enough to help train practitioners of the Four Great Immortal Arts 319.
  • Integrated warfare: Centralized resources and cooperation between crafts produced formations, puppet legions, artillery, and warships on a scale fragmented rival powers struggled to reproduce 456 540.
