Graduation
"Hm? A bunch of trash. Could they be thinking of revenge?" Luo Feng pondered as he looked at the venomous hatred in their eyes. The next moment, sinister grins appeared on their faces!
"You're finished! We're Young Master Disi's men, and you dared to hit us? Just you wait! Wait until you face Young Master Disi's wrath!" This fellow probably didn't recognize Luo Feng. Back when Luo Feng was at the academy, Disi hadn't wanted to make an enemy of him, yet here they were, invoking Disi's name to cow Luo Feng.
"Tell your Young Master Disi to come take revenge. I'll be waiting," Luo Feng said mildly. To be honest, Luo Feng was no longer on the same level as them. He genuinely didn't want to lay a hand on them, but they really were stupid beyond measure.
Luo Feng sent them flying with a kick, then couldn't be bothered to look at them.
"Luo Fu, there's something I have to tell you," Luo Feng said after weighing his words for a while.
Seeing how serious Luo Feng looked, Luo Fu couldn't help giving him his full attention.
"I'm planning to apply for graduation in the next few days." Luo Feng struggled to get the words out.
Graduation meant leaving Philipzi Warrior Academy and leaving his brother. Luo Feng had entered Philipzi Warrior Academy when he was eleven, and now he was nineteen. A full eight years had passed.
"Graduation?"
Luo Fu came to his senses and said, "Brother, why are you in such a hurry to graduate? What's so good about graduating from Philipzi Warrior Academy? Isn't it great for us brothers to be together? Besides, Philipzi Warrior Academy is much more peaceful than the outside world."
"Brother, then tell me, how strong are you now?" Luo Fu stared fixedly into Luo Feng's eyes.
"Below the Saint Domain, I'll have no equal," Luo Feng said mildly, as though he were speaking of something utterly insignificant.
"Brother, you, you... have you already reached the peak of the Warrior of the Ninth Rank?" Luo Fu asked in astonishment. He had looked up to his brother as a role model since childhood, so he naturally knew how formidable his brother was. Even so, the sudden revelation that the brother he had admired since childhood was already a ninth-rank expert was a surprise that had come far too abruptly.
"A Warrior of the Ninth Rank? You could say that." Luo Feng didn't answer Luo Fu's question directly, giving him only a very general answer.
"That makes sense. Your mount is among the most powerful Level Nine Magical Beasts. How could you possibly have subdued it without the strength?" Luo Fu looked at his brother. Ever since he was little, his brother had been the goal he strove toward. Every time he thought he was close to catching up, he hadn't realized that his brother had already reached a newer level.
The next morning, more than thirty warrior instructors gathered in a clearing frequently used for tests at Philipzi Warrior Academy. In fact, a graduation assessment only required four warriors, but the instructors at Philipzi Warrior Academy usually didn't have much to do. When they heard Luo Feng had applied to graduate, they came along to watch.
Philipzi Warrior Academy was unlike those magic academies.
Students at those academies generally applied for graduation only after reaching the Mage of the Sixth Rank and studying in the sixth year for some time. Under those circumstances, there was no need for another assessment. Graduation assessments were therefore quite rare.
Warrior assessments, on the other hand, required a fight against a designated instructor. Whether a student qualified was determined by the instructor's evaluation.
"Instructors, I believe we can begin now," Luo Feng said indifferently. To be honest, given Luo Feng's personality, if this hadn't been a required part of graduating, he certainly wouldn't have come to take a graduation test.
The instructors conducting the test said nothing. Luo Feng was famous at the academy for his indifference. Whether it was noble young ladies or senior students, nothing seemed to hold his interest. The only person he cared about was his younger brother, so the instructors were quite accustomed to his tone. Besides, geniuses were bound to have a few privileges.
Luo Feng wore the same sky-blue warrior's outfit as always, his bearing distinctive.
The instructor facing him looked at Luo Feng and smiled. "Student Luo Feng, I volunteered to be your testing instructor this time. Of course, you can also choose one of the three instructors behind me to test you. It's entirely up to you."
Luo Feng looked at the instructor opposite him and nodded slightly without speaking. In truth, both the three instructors behind him and the one in front of Luo Feng were Eighth-level Warriors, so it made little difference who conducted the test.
The instructor opposite him immediately unleashed the full force of his aura, and surging Battle-qi poured out. The two men stared at each other as an invisible pressure suddenly swept up from the space between them, stirring up a thousand waves. Yet when they measured their auras against each other, neither gained the upper hand.
"Good. I'm surprised. I never expected you to already be an Eighth-level Warrior. If I remember correctly, you were still at the peak of the Warrior of the Sixth Rank three years ago, weren't you? You truly deserve to be called Philipzi Warrior Academy's undisputed genius. In just three years, you've become an Eighth-level Warrior. At your age, I was nowhere near your level." The instructor opposite him was initially stunned.
Then, thinking of how Luo Feng was already an Eighth-level Warrior and comparing him to himself, he offered heartfelt praise, tinged with the feeling of a hero in his twilight years.
After a pause, he smiled slightly. "Enough talk. Are you ready? I originally intended to suppress my Battle-qi to spar with you, but there's no need now. Take this move of mine, Thunderbolt of Immense Force!" As he spoke, his Battle-qi surged, and the greatsword in his hands blazed with light.
Amid his laughter, he lightly swept both hands through the air, then swung outward. A raging bolt of purple lightning, shaped like a flash of sword light, tore through layer upon layer of great waves and surged forward like a tide.
Luo Feng watched the raging purple lightning rush toward him, a little disappointed. Though the instructor's move had an imposing name, it was really nothing more than compressing the Battle-qi in his body and unleashing it in a single instant.
This was merely the simplest of combat techniques, and to Luo Feng, who had already grasped Wielding Something Light as Though It Were Heavy, it was nothing much to look at. But on reflection, it made sense. He possessed Linley's insights into cultivation from the original work, so he was naturally cheating a little on the path of cultivation. After all, many people had never realized this and relied solely on combat techniques.
Wherever those waves of sword-qi and lightning passed, they swept everything aside, generating a terrifying pressure as they charged straight at Luo Feng. They could shatter mountains and destroy rocks, breaking whatever they touched. They were terrifying to the extreme!
They appeared infinitely powerful, but they were useless. Suddenly, Luo Feng moved. He carried no weapon, only a pair of fists. Yet those seemingly fragile fists erupted with unparalleled combat power.
His fists flew, filling the sky with fist shadows that almost enveloped the waves of sword-qi and lightning. In the blink of an eye, the waves vanished, but the fist shadows filling the sky didn't slow in the slightest, heading straight for the instructor opposite him.
The instructor saw the endless fist shadows, saw that they seemed about to surround him, and rallied all the Battle-qi in his body. "Explode!" he roared.
Before long, the fist shadows had vanished from the sky, but he was panting on one knee, staring in disbelief at the spot opposite him. Yet, contrary to his expectations, there was no one there.
With a flash, Luo Feng's palm came to rest steadily above the back of Lei Xingkong's neck. At this point, all Luo Feng had to do was twist his hand slightly to kill the instructor conducting the test.
But he didn't. His face indifferent, he withdrew his hand and stepped back. With a flash of azure light, he somehow returned to his original position. The surrounding instructors hadn't even noticed how he got back.
