Returning to familiar grounds
"Master, thank you. Without you, I wouldn't be the Saint-level Silver Dragon I am today," the Silver Dragon Wa'ersi said in a deep voice.
Luo Feng said nothing. He looked at the Silver Dragon and smiled; everything went without saying.
"Master, there's no time like the present. We have nothing left to keep us here, so let's leave today. Let's go back to the O'Brien Empire. I'm going to tear Kenyon apart." The Silver Dragon understood what Luo Feng meant from his look, and a warm current swept through his heart. Then he remembered that he was now a Saint-level Magical Beast. It was time to go back and take revenge.
"Hehe, Wa'ersi, six years have already passed. A few more days won't matter. First, get used to your new strength and master it," Luo Feng said with a smile.
Half a month later, in the Dark Forest.
The dazzling sun poured out its warmth without restraint. High above the Dark Forest, several figures stood in midair. A closer look revealed them to be Harry and his two brothers, along with the Silver Dragon who had just become a Saint-level Magical Beast.
"Harry, Wa'ersi and I are leaving. I've enjoyed the six years we spent together, but I've been away too long. It's time I went back. Take care of yourselves," Luo Feng said with a smile.
"Haha, Luo Feng, after six years, we've come to regard you as a brother. If you run into trouble out there, give them our names. The experts of the older generation will be wary of us and show you some respect. Haha, right, six years ago you said disciples of the War God Sect were hunting you down. Now you can go take your revenge without worry. As for the War God, I don't think he'll interfere," Harry said with a smile, his eyes flickering. Luo Feng gleaned some information from his look: Harry and his two brothers had already given the War God a warning. Presumably, he had told the War God not to interfere in the grudge between Luo Feng and Kenyon.
"All right, that's enough talk. Let's go, Wa'ersi." Luo Feng was a little grateful for what Harry and his brothers had said. Of course, Luo Feng knew who the Purple-Gold Rat Kings were: super-rich second-generation heirs, sons of Beirut, the planar ruler of the Yulan Continent. They were Midgods themselves. And what was the War God? Just a Lowgod who had refined a Divine Spark. No matter how bold the War God was, he wouldn't dare defy Beirut's wishes. So even if Luo Feng turned the War God Sect upside down, the War God wouldn't dare interfere, unless he was tired of living.
The Silver Dragon had no idea what Harry and his brothers had implied. He laughed loudly. "Next time I go out to beat someone up, I'll call you. We'll go kill and set fires together, and if anyone gets on our nerves, we'll go give them a beating. Haha, with the four of us Saint-level Magical Beasts on the job, whoever they are, we'll beat them until they cry for their parents."
The Silver Dragon seemed to know Luo Feng was about to hurry him along. He quickly flapped his wings and flew away.
Yulan Calendar, year 9829. This day was destined to be an extraordinary one.
The imperial highway outside the O'Brien Empire's capital bustled with people. This was the holy land of the empire's warriors, where the War God Sect was based.
The War God, O'Brien, had been here for over five thousand years. As the empire's pillar, he had made this place a holy land in the hearts of its warriors.
The foot of War God Mountain, which towered into the clouds, was packed with people. Carriages had been able to make their way forward on the way here, but now they couldn't move at all. The mountain path in particular was full of people.
Countless people came to pay their respects every year, but except on important occasions, everyone was permitted to go only halfway up War God Mountain and no farther. Even Saint Domain experts were forbidden to go up. No one defied the War God's wishes.
But now, an uninvited guest had come to War God Mountain.
"Kenyon, you bastard, get the hell out here and face your grandpa Wa'ersi!" Wa'ersi was the fierce Zhang Fei type, a fellow who feared nothing. Who cared if this was the War God? Your disciple hunted me down back then, and now I'm here for revenge.
The more than ten thousand visitors on War God Mountain also noticed a streak of light shooting toward them through the distant sky. The newcomer had yet to arrive, but his voice was already roaring across the mountain.
Almost in the blink of an eye, the streak of light reached the sky above War God Mountain. Magnificent silver-white scales gleamed with a cold, bleak light. By now, the Silver Dragon's fury had reached its peak. He finally had the strength to take revenge, so how could he hold back?
"Saint Domain!"
The people on War God Mountain erupted. They had come to see Saint Domain experts and pay their respects to the venerable War God. Now a Saint Domain expert had appeared in the sky and even dared to shout at the War God's doorstep. It was simply unbelievable.
They saw that someone was sitting atop the Silver Dragon's head, but they couldn't make out his face. All they could see was a blurry figure with a long, pitch-black box strapped to his back.
"Who is that?"
"I don't know. Which Saint Domain expert is he?"
At that moment, Kenyon flew down from War God Mountain and faced the Silver Dragon in midair. A faint sense of familiarity flashed through his mind. "A Saint-level Magical Beast? A Silver Dragon? A Saint-level Silver Dragon? Who are you?"
"Haha, Kenyon, you've actually forgotten me? Do you remember hunting down my boss and me six years ago? We've come to collect that debt. Haha, Kenyon, are you ready?" The Silver Dragon spoke in a human voice and laughed arrogantly.
"Six years ago? You're Luo Feng's magical beast companion? Impossible, impossible! You were clearly a Level Nine Magical Beast. How did you become a Saint-level Magical Beast? That's impossible!" Kenyon finally realized that Wa'ersi was the Silver Dragon he had gravely wounded before. Looking at the Silver Dragon, now a Saint-level Magical Beast, Kenyon felt a surge of fear. He was indeed a Saint Domain expert, but only an expert at the Saint Domain Peak could defeat a Saint-level Magical Beast. He was already far from being its match.
But Kenyon was, after all, a member of the War God Sect. If the Silver Dragon had been anywhere else, he really would have had trouble eating or sleeping. But here on War God Mountain, how could he possibly be afraid of him?
"Kenyon, you still remember me, don't you?" At last, Luo Feng stood up on the Silver Dragon's head and looked at Kenyon calmly.
Kenyon looked at Luo Feng. Luo Feng wore plain linen clothes, and his face was composed, but his eyes were as bright as dazzling stars. His long, ink-black hair hung down to his hips. The sharp edge he had once shown was gone; now, all that remained was a calmness like still water.
The discussion on the mountainside continued unabated. Clearly, many people couldn't tell who this Saint Domain expert who had flown in was. After all, many of them had seen some of the famous Saint Domain experts, but the one before them was a complete stranger.
It wasn't that Luo Feng's appearance had changed. Rather, his bearing had changed completely. The coldness was gone, as was the air of looking down on everyone in the world. Now he seemed as plain and ordinary as any common person.
Yet this young man flew toward Kenyon and stood in midair just as Kenyon did. That was the mark of a Saint Domain expert.
"Luo Feng, it's you? It's really you? You've actually become a Saint Domain expert?" Kenyon shouted. He no longer carried himself like a Saint Domain expert or a direct disciple of the War God Sect. He was just like a clown.
