The Passage, the South Sea
"Lord Beirut," Luo Feng recognized the person before him and knew it was Beirut. No matter the circumstances, Beirut, as the big boss, was someone who commanded respect. His strength alone was enough for Luo Feng to command respect.
Beirut has small but bright eyes, like sparkling stars. There's always a hint of a smile on his lips.
When Beirut saw Luo Feng, to be honest, he had a pretty good impression of Luo Feng before, and he also owed his sons a great debt. Without Luo Feng, he didn't know when his three sons would reach the strength of Asura. However, because of Luo Feng's existence, his three sons had begun to integrate the laws of Sound Waves Laws of Vocal Music, and they would definitely be able to integrate all six laws within a few hundred years.
However, despite feeling good about it, Luo Feng was not yet worthy of Beirut's praise. After glancing at Luo Feng, Beirut flew directly south. "Let's go." Beirut's hoarse voice rang out.
"Whoosh~~~" The South Sea surged.
The ocean area of the entire Yulan Continent Plane is vast. The North Sea is already quite expansive, and the South Sea is even more terrifying. Luo Feng had heard it described in the original novel: at the edge of the South Sea lies chaotic Spatial Turbulence.
In the dead of night, the boundless sea appeared dark and gloomy.
"That's it." Beirut stood still, suspended in mid-air above the ocean.
"This is the deepest part of the ocean, the entrance to the passage leading to the Necropolis of the Gods. That passage is about 20,000 meters below the surface," Beirut said with a faint smile. "I believe the water pressure of the deep sea won't affect you. If you can't even dive to this depth, you'd better give up sooner rather than later."
With that, Beirut himself was the first to rush into the water.
Wherever its body passed, the deep sea water naturally parted to create a channel.
Seeing Beirut go down, Luo Feng quickly followed. His body was filled with Battle-qi, which easily resisted the water pressure. Although he couldn't make the water flow automatically separate like Beirut, he was still able to enter the seabed of the South Sea.
Luo Feng traveled along the underwater canyon for several miles before arriving at a dark, massive rock. This dark rock stood bare in the center of the canyon, and atop it was a transparent gate that emitted strange fluctuations.
"We've arrived." A hoarse voice rang in Luo Feng's ears.
Then, Luo Feng stopped in front of the dark boulder.
Lord Beirut's voice rang in Luo Feng's ears. "This spatial gate is the passage to the Necropolis of the Gods. Normally, this spatial gate is closed. It is blocked by an invisible energy layer." As he spoke, a black beam of light shot out from Beirut's body.
The black beam of light shot directly into the portal.
"The calm seabed suddenly churned, and the originally transparent door instantly flashed with a dazzling light, as if a thin film had sealed the door."
But it only lasted a few seconds, like a bubble being punctured.
With a soft "poof," the membrane disappeared.
"Follow me, come in together." Beirut flew to the front of the spatial gate and stepped to the other side in a single step. Beirut then clearly disappeared from Luo Feng's sight.
Luo Feng knew this was the entrance to Luo Feng destination. The Necropolis of the Gods was not on the Yulan Continent, but in another plane. The Overgod could create planes, so Luo Feng was not surprised at all.
Luo Feng followed Beirut forward, but Beirut showed no sign of tension, carrying Luo Feng for about ten miles.
"That towering building ahead, resembling a mountain, is the Necropolis of the Gods," Beirut whispered to Luo Feng through their Soul Transmission. Looking at the massive structure in the distance, Luo Feng felt a tremor in his heart. "This Necropolis of the Gods is no ordinary place!" Although it had been mentioned in the original story, Luo Feng still felt a profound sense of awe.
Further ahead, he saw some reliefs of the Four Divine Beasts, which Luo Feng skipped over. Now that he had arrived in the South Sea, Luo Feng was 100% certain that he was going to the same pilgrimage to the Necropolis of the Gods that Luo Feng and the Linley had experienced. This was still beneficial to Luo Feng, since having a map would ultimately make things much easier for him than crossing a river blindly.
"Based on this miniature relief..." Beirut looked at the large miniature relief. "This time, the leader guarding the first eleven levels of the Necropolis of the Gods is the divine beast Ba-Serpent."
"The divine beast Ba-Serpent?" Luo Feng thought to himself. It really was him. This guy was a genius. He had only been in the Infernal Realm for two thousand years, or even less, and he was already comparable to Seven Star Fiend. If he hadn't been controlled by Mosi of Miluo Island, he might have made a name for himself in the Infernal Realm. Although he couldn't compare to the Purple Blood Fiend, he was still a powerful figure.
Beirut glanced at Luo Feng and said with a faint smile, "This divine beast Ba-Serpent, reached maturity tens of thousands of years ago. As far as I know, it has now reached the Midgod realm. Let alone the War God High Priest and his ilk, if they went in and faced this Ba-Serpent, they would be doomed."
Luo Feng remained unmoved by Beirut's words. Why? Because those words sounded so familiar to Luo Feng. They were the exact words from the original story. Luo Feng Luo Feng was sure he could guess the next sentence. So what was there to worry about? He figured the hurdle with the Ba-Serpent would be pretty easy to overcome.
Beirut was taken aback when he saw that Luo Feng didn't show any surprise, but then he smiled calmly and said, "But you can rest assured, this isn't a path to certain death. Now I'll give you a general overview of Necropolis of the Gods Necropolis of the Gods. There are eighteen levels in total! The first ten levels definitely don't contain Divine Spark, but from the eleventh level onwards, there will definitely be the corpses of the gods, as well as the grounds Divine Spark."
"You are about to enter this part of the earth. The first eleven levels are ruled by the divine beast Ba-Serpent. As for the twelfth level and beyond... even Deity level powerhouses will face a nine-out-of-ten chance of death if they go in," Lord Beirut said with a faint smile.
Luo Feng nodded. Indeed, levels above the eleventh were not suitable for him to attempt, even the Peak Saint Domain. For example, Cesar, the High Priest, the War God, Dylan were among those who had to start from the twelfth level after reaching the Deity level. In other words, the twelfth level was where Deity level experts were located.
Beirut looked at Luo Feng: "As for the Ba-Serpent, he might be on the first floor, or he might be on the eleventh floor. In short... he's definitely on one of the eleven floors."
Luo Feng didn't even need Beirut to tell him; he knew on his own that, if he wasn't mistaken, the Ba-Serpent should be on the third level. Having read the original novel, Luo Feng was essentially carrying a simple map with him.
"Remember, be careful, be cautious, and don't be greedy," Lord Beirut said. "If you die inside, I can't save you from the outside."
As he spoke, Beirut shot out two beams of black light from each of his hands, striking the bottom of the wall. Instantly, two passages appeared on either side of the wall. "These two passages, the left one is for humans, while the right one is for the Demon Saint Domain. If you survive the first four levels, then... you might meet them on the fifth level. Of course, right now you are the only one in the Necropolis of the Gods, so no one will meet you on the fifth level. Any creatures you see belong to the Gatekeeper of the Necropolis of the Gods."
Having read the original novel, Luo Feng already understood. The reason for the "humans on the left, monsters on the right" was simply because they cared about Bebe's safety. Luo Feng felt a sense of helplessness. There were two paths, and he was the only one in the Necropolis of the Gods. Why couldn't he choose? If he had a choice, he would have gone to the right. Now, if he went to the left, he would definitely encounter the Ba-Serpent.
Luo Feng knew that the interior of the Necropolis of the Gods was very complex, and the areas experienced in the first four levels of the two passages were different, and the two areas would only overlap in the fifth level.
Without hesitation, Luo Feng went straight through the left passage and entered the vast Necropolis of the Gods.
