Lisanna Courts Death
Nothing much to do today, so I went fishing by the lake. Another day of catching the entire Ishgar Continent...
Amid Gildarts and Laxus's confusion, Hughes put the lake bottom stone he had fished out into his pocket.
A true fisherman, if he can't catch any fish, will instinctively try to catch a couple of chickens; if he can't even catch chickens, he'll pluck a blade of grass and pick up a stone!
In short, a fisherman can't go home empty-handed!
As darkness fell, Hughes decided not to stay with those two stinky men, Gildarts and Laxus, any longer.
A fisherman's springtime is having a woman by his side and a big fish in his basket; not having two big men sitting on either side of him and not catching a single fish.
Hughes patted his empty stomach, somewhat looking forward to Mira's cooking tonight.
"Goodbye, you two; Gildarts, you should head back soon too; as for Laxus, good luck to you, I have faith in you, the future is yours!"
After exchanging greetings, Hughes neither took the water route nor the land route; instead, he used Geppo and Flame Thruster to fly into the air.
The flames were so fierce that they even ignited Laxus's fishing line...
"Hughes, you bastard, just you wait!"
The sound of Thunder Boy breaking through the defenses was loud, echoing across the lake, but no one paid any attention!
Because Gildarts went back too~
Inside the small villa that Hughes bought at great expense, his housekeeper, Mira, was still in the kitchen preparing the last dish.
The trio of Big, Black, and Woman sat at the dining table, sniffing the aromas wafting from the kitchen, eagerly anticipating what was to come.
How can one describe this taste? Even the Balrog the Flame Demon never made Hughes's mouth water like this.
The scent was so enticing that Hughes kept wiping the drool from the corners of his mouth.
"Sister Mira, my stomach is growling!"
"Mira, did you hear that? Lisanna said her belly turned into a dove and flew away. I can have her share later!"
Lisanna, furious, walked over, put her hands on her hips, and stomped down hard with her little foot. "Hughes, you dare bully me! Humph, if you do it again, I'll stomp even harder!"
Hughes, completely unfazed, shrugged. "Little Lisanna, how ridiculous!"
Sitting next to Hughes, Elfman skin was slightly darker, frowned and poked Lisanna with his finger. "Lisanna, could you move your foot? You're stepping on my foot!"
Lisanna's body visibly stiffened. "Ah, Elfman, why are you sitting here?"
"If you hadn't sat here, I would have stepped on Hughes's foot!"
Hughes spread his arms wide, this is what a person in a state of impotent rage and breakdown looks like.
Elfman stared in disbelief:... How can you blame him for this?
Hughes glanced at Lisanna and saw that Elfman Lisanna completely oblivious to him. Hughes immediately lifted his big foot and walked over her instep. "Mira, let me help you!"
Lisanna's eyes widened immediately, her face flushed red, she squatted down, covered her feet tightly, and howled incessantly.
"Elfman, you're welcome. I've avenged you!"
Elfman:... Can I just appreciate the sentiment? I feel like Lisanna wants to yell at me more now?
"That's right. Lisanna, you're not mistaken, I did it on purpose!" Hughes's voice drifted from inside the kitchen.
Lisanna:???
At the dinner table, the delicious Feather Fish that Mira had worked on all day to prepare was devoured by Hughes and the others in just a few minutes.
"Hughes, do we still have Feather Fish?"
Hughes, understanding Lisanna's unspoken meaning, shook his head. "No, Lisanna, we'll each have one, and the last one in the pot belongs to the chairman; of course, if you want some..."
Hughes, who also felt he hadn't had enough, was like a devil, whispering seductively in Lisanna's ear.
"Sit down in your seat! Why are you running around while you're eating?" Mira scolded Hughes.
"Whether you want to do it or not, we can drag Mira into this!" Hughes, who had taken his seat, raised an eyebrow at Lisanna, conveying his message.
Lisanna glanced furtively at Mira, her eyes conveying a message to Hughes: "Mira will kill us!"
Upon receiving the message, Hughes glanced sideways at the dark-skinned boy who was licking his lips, savoring the moment.
"Let's do it!" Lisanna made up her mind instantly.
"Mira, come out here for a second, I need to tell you something!"
Seeing that Mira had been sent away by Hughes, Lisanna quickly strode out of the kitchen and brought out the Feather Fish that she had prepared for Makarov.
"Lisanna, this is for the president!" Elfman said in a deep voice.
"You idiot Elfman, would I dare do this without Hughes' permission? Hughes deliberately sent Mira away to create an opportunity for us!"
Lisanna continued to tempt him, "Elfman, you don't want to be craving the taste of Feather Fish tonight, do you?"
Elfman swallowed hard. "I'll only eat a little bit!"
Lisanna deftly cut the Feather Fish in the plate in half, one half for herself and the other half for Elfman.
"Wait, where's Hughes's?" Elfman asked, looking down at the half-eaten fish on his plate.
"He bullied me and still expects to get fish? Anyway, it was his idea, so he should just take the blame. Besides, didn't I leave him the fish head and tail?"
Elfman silently looked at the fish head and tail in Hughes' bowl, his heart filled with unease.
Lisanna was tempted to do something reckless, but he wasn't, so he divided half of the fish from his plate into Mira's bowl.
Meanwhile, Hughes, who was hiding in a corner with Mira, put away the Recording Magic Crystal with a face full of black lines.
Fine, fine, you, Lisanna, were unkind first, so don't blame me Hughes, for being unjust.
I originally just wanted to give you a little test, but now...
Hughes turned to Mira: "Mira, if you don't discipline children, they'll easily go astray when they grow up!"
"I still have two Feather Fish that I haven't cooked yet. The three of us will eat them tomorrow. Lisanna, just stand there and watch!" Mira said sharply, squinting at Lisanna in the shadows.
Lisanna is getting more and more outrageous!!
"Could we change tomorrow's meals to something Lisanna doesn't like? It's not good for kids to be picky eaters."
Mira nodded; Hughes's suggestion was good.
The next day, the Hughes family's villa was "calm and peaceful," except for the occasional loud sobs and apologies from a young girl...
Elfman, who had witnessed Lisanna's miserable state, felt fortunate; he had told her not to provoke those two devils, but Lisanna never listened.
After signing a series of unequal treaties, Hughes and Mira finally decided to let Lisanna go.
"It's settled then, you'll be in charge of all the housework for the next month! You'll wash the dishes and my clothes too," Hughes said, counting on his fingers.
Lisanna nodded sadly. Mira and Hughes were ruthless scoundrels who would eat the meat without spitting out the bones.
"Then why aren't you going?" Hughes shouted sternly.
Little Lisanna, you think you can turn the world upside down? Maybe in your next life!
Hughes, lying on the sofa, watched Lisanna bustling about, feeling completely relaxed.
The Magnolia Town in July was incredibly hot and humid, so hot that everyone was too tired to work and stayed holed up in the guild.
Except for Hughes and Natsu, who are not afraid of the heat.
Looking at the haphazard figures inside the guild, Hughes, sitting at the bar, lightly scratched his chin.
It's a bit boring~
"Hughes, nobody's having any fun!" Natsu, equally bored, slumped on the bar, looking utterly listless.
"You idiot with slanted eyes, it's so hot, who has the energy to play around!" Gray, who has become the new darling of summer, complained.
He was surrounded by Erza, Lisanna, Cana, and others.
"How about we go swimming in the lake behind the guild?" Hughes asked uncertainly.
