Wang Xun secretly built his strength while attracting the attention of Aizen and growing closer to Nanao and the Shiba family. During a World of the Living practicum, he revealed his power to kill a Menos Grande and survived Hasegawa’s attempt to murder him, leaving him to answer Yoruichi’s questions about the attack.

• Wang Xun gained a Hōgyoku fragment from the strange mountain trees, while Aizen discovered the changes and ordered Kaname Tōsen to investigate him.
• Tokinada Tsunayashiro and Aizen separately approached Wang Xun about joining their divisions or clan, but Wang Xun avoided committing himself and continued hiding his strength.
• Wang Xun grew closer to Nanao Ise and the Shiba family, proposed a delivery partnership for Ganju, and trained with Kaien Shiba until the Hollow Reiatsu within him stirred.
• Wang Xun led Nanao, Heita Harada, and three third-years through the Konsō practicum in the World of the Living, where a Menos Grande attacked their group.

• Shunsui Kyōraku and Yoruichi Shihōin discussed Wang Xun’s strength, and Yoruichi offered him a place in the Stealth Force and Punishment Force after he finished his courses.
• Wang Xun reassured Nanao Ise about his hidden strength and joined Kaien Shiba and Kūkaku for dinner at Ichiraku, while Yoruichi began investigating him through Kisuke Urahara.

After surviving an attack tied to his conflict with the Tsunayashiro Clan, Wang Xun chose to pursue strength by joining the Second Division’s Punishment Force. His first mission led to Amamiya Shin’s capture and a clash with Kaname Tōsen over custody of the prisoner.

• Wang Xun fought off assassins with Shackle Lotus, and Shunsui Kyōraku arranged for Soi Fon to take him to the Fourth Division while promising to confront the Tsunayashiro Clan.
• Wang Xun recovered under Unohana’s care, then chose to graduate early and join the Punishment Force after Yoruichi warned him about its dangers.
• Wang Xun passed his graduation tests and Soi Fon accepted him into the Punishment Force Reserves after testing his Hakuda.

• Kisuke Urahara interrupted Kaname Tōsen’s clash with Wang Xun and took the unconscious Amamiya Shin into Stealth Force custody, while Wang Xun stayed with the poisoned Soi Fon and carried her to the Fourth Division for treatment.
• Kensei Muguruma apologized for Tōsen’s conduct and accepted Wang Xun’s request to prevent similar incidents, while Wang Xun helped Soi Fon discover a way to gather Reiatsu around her shoulders and back as she developed Shunkō.
• Yoruichi arranged for Wang Xun to study Kaidō with the Fourth Division, where Kiyōnosuke Yamada watched him rapidly master treatment techniques and reach the level of higher-ranking Seated Officers.
