Wang Xun’s Garganta research exposed the Wandenreich, drawing him into a dangerous contest between Aizen, Urahara, and the Quincy. After helping uncover and capture Loyd’s imposture, Wang Xun returned to his new duties in the Fourth Division and found signs that a Quincy arrow had killed a Third Seat.

• Tessai Tsukabishi taught Wang Xun the basics of forbidden spatial techniques, and Wang Xun used them to create a stable Garganta that Aizen ordered him to keep developing.
• While visiting Kaien Shiba, Wang Xun absorbed fragments from Ukitake and discovered that they came from the Soul King’s Right Arm, and he also sparred with Yoruichi Shihōin and improved his Shunkō.
• Wang Xun’s Garganta experiments revealed the hidden Wandenreich beneath Seireitei, and he and Kisuke Urahara arranged a probe that led Jugram Haschwalth to attack the experimental base and capture Kaname Tōsen.
• Aizen ordered Wang Xun to locate the Quincy and explore an alliance, while Wang Xun and Urahara entered the Wandenreich, rescued the real Tōsen from Silbern, and left a matching Gigai in his cell.
• Aizen and Wang Xun tested the disguised Tōsen during an Arrancar experiment, then released the real Tōsen to expose Loyd, who had impersonated him and spied for the Wandenreich.
• Wang Xun defeated and restrained Loyd, while Tōsen confronted Wang Xun over his role in the events leading to Tōsen’s capture, and Aizen assigned Tōsen to guard Loyd and sent Wang Xun back to the Fourth Division.
• After becoming lieutenant of the Fourth Division, Wang Xun treated Ukitake and absorbed more Soul King fragments, then investigated a dead Third Seat and found a puncture resembling the mark of a Quincy Reishi arrow.

Wang Xun helped Aizen frame Urahara and the Hollowfied captains, then rose to become Kenpachi and prepared Soul Society for war against the Wandenreich. During the invasion, he defeated several Sternritter and intercepted part of Yhwach’s Auswählen, leaving Yhwach to ask him to join the Quincy.

• Unohana and Wang Xun uncovered evidence of a Quincy Reishi Arrow, but Wang Xun and Urahara realized Aizen had staged the clues to turn Soul Society against the Wandenreich.
• Aizen used the Hōgyoku to Hollowfy captives and the captains, while Wang Xun pretended to lose control and helped Urahara and Unohana save the survivors.
• Wang Xun testified against Urahara and Tessai, leading Central 46 to order their arrest and Unohana’s detention, then became acting captain of the Fourth Division.
• Wang Xun killed Kiganjō, claimed the Kenpachi title, gained Bankai from Renge of All Kalpas Returning to Nothingness, and helped restore Unohana and appoint Isshin and Soi Fon as captains.
• After Isshin reported that the Quincy could steal Bankai, Wang Xun accompanied Soi Fon’s Stealth Force into the Wandenreich, where they killed As Nodt and Cang Du.
• During the assault on Silbern, Wang Xun defeated BG9 and Gerard, while Aizen absorbed Pernida and the Soul Reapers pressed toward the Wandenreich’s center.
• Yhwach awakened and used Auswählen to drain Quincy fighters, but Wang Xun intercepted part of its power as Yhwach recognized his mixed abilities and asked him to follow.
