| Uninitiated | 22 23 | Receives Gu Jianfei's manual through the chat group. Reading it registers the technique with the Beast Milk System, but his seven skill points are insufficient to begin cultivation. |
| Initiation | 25 | Costs 120 skill points. Increases his existing Supreme Grandmaster strength by approximately 10%. |
| Minor Mastery | 28 | Costs 380 skill points. Raises physical strength to 100,000 jin without enhancement. Combined with his Innate Gang Qi, manifested spiritual will, and Unity of Heaven and Man, he estimates an instantaneous output of 400,000–500,000 jin. |
| Major Mastery — Martial Saint | 30 | Costs 500 skill points. Transforms his blood and marrow, granting one million jin of base strength and palm strikes carrying ten million jin of force. |
| Peak Perfection — Peak Martial Saint | 37 | Costs 800 skill points. Raises base strength to three million jin, with Buddha's Palm capable of unleashing 30–40 million jin of force. Shi Hao estimates that he has reached the level of the sixty-year-old Gu Jianfei. |
| Great Perfection — Martial Dao Human Immortal | 42 | Costs 1,024 skill points. Attains Unity of Buddha and Self, surpassing Martial Saint. Base strength reaches thirty million jin, while Buddha's Palm can unleash hundreds of millions of jin of force. Shi Hao coins “Martial Dao Human Immortal” as the name for his new realm. |
History
Gu Jianfei's Inheritance
Chan Master Dadu taught Buddha's Palm to Gu Jianfei in his youth. Gu Jianfei comprehended its ninth move in his forties or fifties and eventually cultivated the art to Peak Perfection 21 22 37.
At sixty, Gu Jianfei fought the Fire Cloud Evil God on a ten-thousand-meter snowy mountain. Their battle shattered the mountain, and Gu Jianfei killed his opponent with Buddha's Palm's ninth move. However, the Six Heavens Demonic Art left him fatally injured and buried beneath the mountain 21.
After joining the Myriad Worlds Chat Group while dying, Gu Jianfei chose the three-year-old Shi Hao as his successor. He sent the manual as a group file and died shortly after Shi Hao accepted it, relieved that his life's work would survive 22.
Dispute over the Manual
Xiongba coveted Buddha's Palm because he considered it far stronger than his Three Points Return to One Qi. He offered Shi Hao tens of thousands of jin of beast milk each day in exchange for access to the manual, but Zhang Sanfeng, Guo Jing, and Wuyazi objected. Group Leader Great Immortal Li muted Xiongba and warned against exploiting Shi Hao's age 22 23.
Shi Hao privately considered the exchange worthwhile but declined to preserve his innocent-child persona. Xiongba later apologized and sent more than fifty thousand jin of beast milk without obtaining the manual 23 27.
Abilities & Skills
Physical Transformation
Buddha's Palm develops the practitioner's body as well as their striking power. Gu Jianfei describes its cultivation as replacing the blood and cleansing the marrow 22.
- Blood and marrow refinement: Shi Hao experiences burning blood and an itching transformation within his marrow upon reaching Major Mastery 30.
- Durability: By Peak Perfection, his body is described as countless times harder than steel 37.
- Qi and blood: Its Martial Saint breakthroughs produce increasingly hot blood and abundant physical vigor 30 37.
Heat-Infused Palm Strikes
The technique combines tremendous force with the scorching heat of the practitioner's Qi and blood.
- At Major Mastery, Shi Hao's strikes carry heat of several thousand degrees, scorching the ground and igniting nearby woods 31.
- At Great Perfection, a full set of strikes carries temperatures of tens of thousands of degrees alongside several hundred million jin of force 43.
Ninth Form: Ten Thousand Buddhas Pay Homage
Ten Thousand Buddhas Pay Homage is the ninth form of Buddha's Palm 31.
- Gu Jianfei uses the ninth move to kill the Fire Cloud Evil God 21.
- Shi Hao performs the named form at Major Mastery and blasts directly through a small hill with one palm strike 31.
Unity of Buddha and Self
Unity of Buddha and Self is the technique's Great Perfection state. Upon attaining it, Shi Hao's expression becomes neither joyful nor sorrowful, and he seems to become one with the Buddha 42.
- Embodies the imposing presence of “In heaven and on earth, I alone am supreme” 42.
- Allows Shi Hao to surpass the Martial Saint realm rather than merely reach its peak 42.
Cultivation & Limitations
- System-assisted learning: After reading the complete manual, Shi Hao can improve Buddha's Palm through the Beast Milk System. The skill points come from drinking beast milk; this is his cultivation method, not a requirement established for all practitioners 23 28.
- High advancement costs: Even initiation costs 120 points, and the next upgrade requires another 380. Shi Hao repeatedly relies on milk supplied by chat-group members to continue advancing 25 27 32 41.
- Documented upgrade ceiling: At Great Perfection, the system lists Buddha's Palm as unable to improve further 42 47.
- No guaranteed spiritual kill: Destroying Great Fairy Yun's body does not prevent her injured primordial spirit from escaping through possession 34.
- Not equivalent to full immortal cultivation: Shi Hao later acknowledges that his several-hundred-million-jin strikes remain far below the mountain-moving strength available through the Mount Shu Qi Cultivation Immortality Art 50.
Notable Uses
| Event | Result |
|---|---|
| Defense of the Shi Residence | A Major Mastery strike destroys the body of Great Fairy Yun, a demon with a thousand years of cultivation, before she can react. Her primordial spirit escapes 34. |
| Peak Perfection test | Shi Hao performs a set of Buddha's Palm and smashes more than half of a small mountain to pieces 37. |
| Destruction of Lanruo Temple | His opening Great Perfection palm strike brings down more than half the temple; he subsequently demolishes the remainder 42 43. |
| Search for the Millennium Tree Demon | Unable to distinguish the demon from ordinary trees, Shi Hao unleashes a full set of strikes and collapses more than half the mountain. The attack draws out a seven-hundred-year-old tree demon instead 43. |
