Brotherly Love and Respect in the Donquixote Family
Doffy arrived at the nursery hall.
He ordered the CP Agents he had brought to guard the door, instructing them not to let anyone in, no matter what they heard.
Doffy kicked the door open, then imperiously cleared out Sullivan, the nurses, and everyone else.
"Fuffuffuffu, my foolish little brother, did you ever think you'd face the revenge of your big brother's iron fist?"
Doffy and Rosy stood side by side at the bedside like a pair of door gods.
Given their current height, if Lu Ye hadn't been sitting high up on two pillows, they could have seen little more than the horn-like tufts of blond hair on their heads.
"What are these two dung beetles doing here?"
Looking unperturbed, Lu Ye bit open a baby bottle and spat the nipple squarely onto Doffy's head.
"They told you. They're here for revenge."
Jinbao floated in the air, having translated for nothing.
"Do they have a grudge against me?"
"Did you forget? You peed all over their heads on your first day."
Lu Ye drank his milk without a care. "Shouldn't they have forgiven me for that already?"
"Comrade, you never even apologized!"
Jinbao gave Lu Ye a look of contempt. The bastard was a disgrace.
"Whoa! Are you really a genius?"
Lu Ye turned to him in surprise. "You want me to apologize? Can I fucking talk?!"
Doffy clutched the bottle nipple, his aura frighteningly dark as a streak of milk slowly trickled down his temple.
"Longinus! This is the second time! The second time you've dumped something filthy on my head! Even if you're family, I won't let you off!"
Lu Ye clapped his hands and clicked his tongue in amazement:
"How scary! What an imposing gang boss. You'd be a pillar of Stanley Prison."
"Well, when it comes to prospects as a villain, there's not much to choose between you two."
Jinbao rubbed his nose, not at all worried that Lu Ye would come off worse.
A G City street fighter who had risen to Double-flower Red Pole had been reincarnated as a diaper-wearing Mary Geoise baby brawler. He couldn't go chopping people up in the streets for now, but rampaging through a kindergarten wouldn't be a problem.
Sure enough, Lu Ye scoffed disdainfully. "My half-pound fist will smash eight ounces of ashes out of him."
Down below, Rosy nervously picked at his fingers. He was half a head shorter than Doffy, and from where he stood, he couldn't see the "enemy" at all. He looked around, bewildered and at a loss.
In this round of trash talk, even Lu Ye had expressed his disdain in baby talk. If Rosy said nothing, he'd look like a monkey just there to make up the numbers.
He suddenly spotted the milk stain on Doffy's face and stood on tiptoe to lick it off for his brother. Then he smacked his lips and gave his assessment:
"It's still milk from that Sea King. It just tastes a little salty..."
A vein bulged on Doffy's forehead as he ground out, "Idiot Rosy, why are you licking me?! Get up there and hit him!"
Doffy shoved Rosy aside and flung the bottle nipple at Lu Ye.
Lu Ye tilted his head slightly to dodge.
The instant the nipple brushed past his ear, Lu Ye suddenly felt himself fill with strength.
Interesting. The Brute Trait triggered. Pretty sensitive, isn't it?
Lu Ye put down the bottle and watched Doffy and Rosy climb up from the foot of the bed.
"Longinus, today you're definitely going to learn how to respect your big brother!"
Doffy and Rosy stood at the foot of the bed, looking especially bulky in the strange white spacesuits they wore.
With his doubled strength, Lu Ye also wobbled to his feet and faced off against the two little blond boys on the bed.
It wasn't that Lu Ye wasn't trying hard enough as a transmigrator. With a super Pallet Town native's physique, he should have had no problem even running.
But according to Jinbao, the Underworld's rules restricted clients from being too shocking and upsetting the balance. They were forbidden to speak or walk upright before turning one.
This had produced a particularly bizarre result:
Lu Ye couldn't walk, but he could crawl incredibly fast.
Lu Ye couldn't talk, but he had nearly learned to write.
That was even more shocking, all right?!
His idiot blond Pops, lacking experience in raising children, had at one point thought Lu Ye was a lame mute.
Doffy stepped forward and put a hand on Lu Ye's shoulder. Flickering firelight reflected in his sunglasses, and his smile was full of malice:
"Fuffuffuffu, repent, my dear little brother, and atone through pain while you're at it..."
Behind him, Rosy rubbed his fists together and bared his teeth, putting on a show.
Bang!
Doffy was only halfway through his threat when he suddenly grunted, clutched his lower abdomen, and crumpled like a shrimp.
"D-Doffy, are you okay?"
Utterly bewildered, Rosy sniffled, crouched down, and poked Doffy's reddened cheek.
"Quick, run..."
Doffy forced the words out, but his waist and abdomen felt as if they had been hit by a carriage. The wind had been knocked out of him, and he couldn't say anything more.
Rosy didn't understand. When he looked up, he finally saw Lu Ye's cold gaze and his soft pink little fist, still held in its attacking position.
Rosy said solemnly, "Longinus, did you do this?"
Lu Ye: "Goo goo gaa gaa-"
Sure enough, nobles can never do without brothers fighting each other, but my brothers are such weaklings that my first Xuanwu Gate rehearsal was a pretty lackluster experience.
Rosy cleared his throat. "Longinus, we came to see you because you peed on our heads. You were wrong to do that. Can you apologize to Doffy and me?"
Lu Ye: "Goo goo gaa gaa-"
What the hell are you talking about? Why should Sixth Master apologize for being unable to take care of himself? By that logic, every bird that lets it fly should write a self-criticism. They were the original bomber chickens, dropping biochemical weapons every day!
Rosy listened intently, then nodded with a solemn expression. "Good, I've received your apology. I'll take Doffy away now."
Rosy helped Doffy to his feet, and a little hand suddenly landed on his shoulder.
"Goo goo gaa gaa-"
"You don't need to see us out, Longinus. We can feel your sincerity. Your brothers have already forgiven you."
Rosy turned back with a smile, only to see a little fist growing bigger and bigger before it slammed into his eye.
"Ah!"
"Aah!"
"Aaah!"
Lu Ye straddled Doffy and Rosy, pinned them to the bed, and gave them a thorough beating.
His terrifying strength and bizarre crawling speed filled the two of them with despair.
The two little blond boys howled and wailed. In their short lives, it was the first time they had ever felt such pain.
Outside the door.
A CP Agent wiped the cold sweat from his temple:
"Hey, those are Saint Doflamingo and Saint Rosinante's voices, right? If they're shouting that loudly while beating someone, how hard must they be hitting him? Can Saint Longinus take it?"
"We're dead, we're dead! We're really dead this time!"
Another CP Agent had completely lost his nerve and was trembling all over. "If Saint Longinus gets hurt, we'll definitely be thrown into the sea, won't we?"
Another agent burst into tears and spoke mournfully. "No, everyone, I... I think I can hear Saint Doflamingo and Saint Rosinante calling for help..."
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
The first agent declared resolutely, "It must be Saint Longinus begging for mercy. Poor Saint Longinus!"
"Please! Sirs, Saint Longinus was only born three days ago. A three-day-old baby can't possibly call for help!"
Held back by the agents, Sullivan clutched his head in despair.
How could a despicable three-day-old beat up his three-year-old and five-year-old brothers until they begged for mercy in pain? It just wasn't realistic, however he looked at it.
It had to be Doffy and Rosy. The two young masters must have picked up the nasty habit somewhere of begging for mercy while bullying someone.
How wicked! As the two young masters' personal attendant, Aila had seriously neglected her duties.
Just then, Sullivan caught sight of Liana's graceful figure. He immediately stood up, waved, and shouted:
"Liana-gu, please come quickly! The three young masters are fighting in the nursery hall!"
Liana's face drained of color. Her husband had only just fallen unconscious, and now this had happened to her children. She immediately hurried over at a jog.
The agents went deathly pale and hurriedly cleared a path.
"Creak-"
Liana hurriedly pushed the door open and entered the nursery hall with Sullivan and the nurses.
Lu Ye immediately flopped onto his back on the bed, pulling the bruised and battered Doffy and Rosy on top of himself to make it look as though he was the one being beaten.
"Doffy! Rosy! How could you bully your little brother?!"
Liana's delicate brows shot up as she hitched up her skirt and hurried over. Her lion's roar sent a chill down even Lu Ye's spine.
Sure enough, faced with the bloodline suppression of a creature like a mother, even Nezha, who could overturn rivers and seas, could only be a little lamb.
"It's all Mommy's fault. Mommy didn't look after you properly..."
Liana lifted the bruised and battered Doffy and Rosy aside, then picked Lu Ye up, her face full of distress. After a quick look at him, she carefully handed him to a nurse behind her.
"Please! Check Longinus first and see if he's hurt anywhere."
Liana turned around, put her hands on her hips, and began sternly lecturing Doffy and Rosy.
Doffy pouted, a little indignant. He wanted to say that he and Rosy were the ones who had been beaten, but when he looked up, he met Lu Ye's contemptuous gaze, and a powerful sense of shame welled up in him.
Fuck! Getting beaten up by a little brother five years younger and then telling on him? How could I live with myself?!
"Liana-gu, Saint Longinus is perfectly fine. We haven't found any external injuries."
"Is that so?"
Lady Daisy took Lu Ye back from the nurse, her eyes and brows full of affection:
"Longinus, how do you feel?"
How do I feel...
Lu Ye savored the softness and sweet fragrance of "Joy Boy's" embrace:
I've emerged from the pod, and I feel great!
