Seeing this, Old Kai was secretly delighted. Son Goku had taken the bait after all.

For Saiyans like him, nothing was more appealing than two things: power and strong opponents.

"Well? Do you dare agree?" Old Kai teased with a faint smile.

"Why wouldn't I? I'd like to see just how powerful someone you praise as being stronger than Super Saiyan 4 really is!" Son Goku said confidently.

"Good. Since you agree, I won't go back on my word."

"But before that, please transform into Super Saiyan 4 and let me see how strong you are now."

Old Kai made his suggestion.

"Of course, no problem." As soon as he finished speaking, Son Goku activated the power of the bloodline within his body. His surging golden aura swirled around him like a gentle storm, and he completed his transformation amid the golden light.

His body was covered in red fur, his long black hair reached his waist, and his muscles were powerfully built. The wild aura he gave off was utterly terrifying.

This was Super Saiyan 4!

He had transformed into Super Saiyan 4 without going through the transformations from Super Saiyan 1 to Super Saiyan Third Grade. Clearly, Son Goku had mastered the transformation to the point where he could use it at will.

He could unleash and restrain his wild aura with complete ease.

"So this is the Super Saiyan 4 transformation? So strong." Kibito Kai stared fixedly at the Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku before him.

The pressure Son Goku released without even trying made it hard for Kibito Kai, a Supreme Kai, to breathe.

Super Saiyan 4 was ridiculously strong.

"You've already become very proficient with this transformation..." Old Kai looked Son Goku up and down and nodded inwardly in satisfaction.

With his discerning eye, he had seen far too much. Although Son Goku was still only a mortal, his immense fighting power had reached the realm of the gods.

If he took another step forward, it was entirely possible for him to rival a god in a mortal body.

"I've only made a little progress," Son Goku said modestly. The next second, he ended his Super Saiyan 4 transformation.

After a moment of silence, Old Kai came up with a plan suited to making Son Goku stronger quickly.

"I gave it some thought just now. With your current strength, there are only two ways for you to grow stronger."

"The first is for me to unlock your potential and raise your power beyond its limits. You already know about that method."

"The second is for me to teach you a cultivation method for divine power, and you cultivate according to it."

"It depends on which one you want."

In one breath, Old Kai laid out the two ways for Son Goku to grow stronger and asked him to choose one.

When Son Goku heard the cultivation methods Old Kai had laid out, his eyes lit up. He had seen what unlocking potential could do: it had allowed Son Gohan to attain a mysterious state that could rival his Super Saiyan Third Grade.

As for the God Ki cultivation method, he had never heard Old Kai mention it in his previous life. But since it involved the power of the gods, it surely wasn't simple.

"Lord Old Kai, why do I have to choose one of your two methods? Can't I have them both?" Son Goku glanced at Old Kai in confusion.

Old Kai suddenly stopped short. He hadn't expected Son Goku to be so quick-witted.

He wanted both cultivation methods. It seemed... that wasn't impossible either.

"You're a clever one, wanting both methods. Since you're so sincere, I suppose I can agree," Old Kai said.

"Then I'll take you up on it, Lord Old Kai," Son Goku said with a smile.

"Come with me." Old Kai turned and walked off in a particular direction.

Son Goku followed close behind.

Soon, Old Kai led Son Goku to the center of the Sacred World of the Kai.

The two sat cross-legged, facing each other.

"Clear your mind. I'll teach you the cultivation method for divine power first," Old Kai said.

"Okay." Son Goku cleared his mind as Old Kai had instructed.

Through his thoughts, Old Kai transmitted all the information about God Ki to Son Goku.

Sensing the new information in his mind, Son Goku began trying to understand what this unique God Ki cultivation method was.

"I've transmitted all the information about God Ki into your mind. I'll begin unlocking your potential now. You can try to understand God Ki while I do it." With that, Old Kai got to his feet and began moving around Son Goku with extremely strange dance steps.

Son Goku did as Old Kai had said and began studying the God Ki cultivation method.

Son Goku's mental form was studying the information about God Ki there.

But a peculiar, indescribable thing appeared right in front of him.

"What is this? There's never been anything like this here before." Son Goku noticed the unusual mass of energy before him and was thoroughly confused.

He stepped forward and tried to touch the mental form, only to be repelled by an invisible force.

"What's going on?" Having been pushed back, Son Goku blinked in bewilderment. He set aside the God Ki cultivation method for the moment and began examining the indescribable mass from all sides.

Somehow, it felt familiar to him.

The thing, whatever it was, seemed to have originally been a part of him, separated from him for some unknown reason.

Unable to figure it out, Son Goku left it alone for the time being and began studying the basic information and everything else concerning God Ki.

Time passed, minute by minute and second by second. Before they knew it, Old Kai had been unlocking Son Goku's potential for three hours.

After three hours of intensely working to unlock his potential, Old Kai was drenched in sweat from exhaustion.

The immense mental strain had nearly been too much for his old bones to bear.

That's my limit. Panting with exhaustion, Old Kai came to a stop beside Son Goku.

He hadn't expected the potential within Son Goku's body to be so immense.

It was like a bottomless pit. Whenever he reached the threshold while unlocking it, even more latent ability would emerge.

No matter how much he unlocked, he couldn't unlock all of it.

Son Goku sensed that Old Kai had stopped unlocking his potential and opened his eyes.

"Is Potential Unleashed over, Lord Old Kai?" Looking at Old Kai, who was gasping for breath beside him, Son Goku blinked in bewilderment and asked in confusion.

"Yes, it's over. That's all the potential I can unlock for you at the moment," Old Kai replied, casting Son Goku a meaningful glance.
