"Lord Old Kai, Lord Supreme Kai, long time no see," Son Goku greeted them with a smile.

"I didn't expect you to be able to travel freely between the mortal realm and the God Realm already. I take it you can sense the aura of gods now?" Old Kai stared intently at Son Goku, his tone grave.

"Yes, I can already sense the strange power coming from you and Lord Supreme Kai," Son Goku answered without hiding anything.

At the definite answer, surprise flickered across Old Kai's otherwise impassive face.

To be honest, even he hadn't expected Son Goku to grow so quickly. He had only been revived for three years, yet without anyone to guide him, he had already begun to sense the existence of divine power-and across dimensions, at that.

Although the divine power of the Supreme Kais wasn't as pure or powerful as that of a God of Destruction, it was still the power of a god.

Son Goku was still a mortal, but his level of life and his immense power had already touched the realm of the gods.

Kibito Kai stood quietly to the side, listening to Son Goku and Old Kai's conversation without interrupting.

"I see. Then, if I'm not mistaken, you came to the Sacred World of the Kai to ask me for guidance?" Old Kai clasped his hands behind his back and met Son Goku's gaze, his aged back hunched.

Old Kai knew battle maniacs like Son Goku all too well.

There was only one reason for him to visit the Sacred World of the Kai: to get stronger.

"To tell you the truth, Lord Old Kai, I broke through the limits of Super Saiyan Third Grade and reached Super Saiyan 4 a year ago."

"After a year of training, I've also completely mastered Super Saiyan 4 in its current form, but I haven't found a good way to break through."

"So I came to the Sacred World of the Kai to ask for your guidance."

Son Goku pressed his palms together and bowed slightly to Old Kai as he spoke respectfully.

He had promised to find a young, pretty girl for the old guy to feel up. He had originally planned to ask Bulma, but if he actually did that, Vegeta would probably kill him.

As for Videl, she was close to his son, Son Gohan, but when he had asked Son Gohan for his opinion three years ago, he had strongly refused.

And as for his own wife, Chi-Chi... he had never even considered it.

"Looks like you forgot all about it ages ago, didn't you?"

"I gave you what little life I had left back then, and this is how you trick me and betray my trust. I never would have expected it."

Old Kai deliberately put on an expression of utter disappointment.

Though the old guy looked so dejected now, it was all an act. He just wanted to see how Son Goku would react.

Sure enough, Son Goku took the bait when he saw the pitiful look Old Kai had put on.

"How about this... Lord Old Kai, I'll do anything that's within my power." Son Goku really had no other choice, so he could only give in.

A lecherous smile appeared on Old Kai's face. Those were exactly the words he had been waiting to hear.

"All right. Since you're so sincere, I'll let it go that you tricked me before."

"But I won't pretend I didn't hear the promise you just made. As it happens, there's something only you can do for me."

Old Kai showed his true colors and stated his purpose outright.

Son Goku also pulled himself together and waited for Old Kai to speak.

"Do you remember how, when I was freed all those years ago, I told you that a very powerful fellow had sealed me away?"

"Looking across the entire universe, I'm afraid you're the only one who can stand up to him. If you promise me that, when you've grown strong enough in the future and run into that fellow, you'll help me get even with him, I can not only help you take Super Saiyan 4 to an even higher level, but also teach you everything I've learned in my life."

Old Kai's deep eyes stared straight at Son Goku, his gaze full of resolve.

He was taking a gamble, placing his hopes of vengeance and vindication on Son Goku.

After listening to every word Old Kai said, Son Goku was stunned for a moment. In his own world, Old Kai had never mentioned this to him, and he still didn't know who had sealed Old Kai away.

And Old Kai wanted him to wait until he had grown to a certain level before dealing with that fellow. Could it be that there was someone in this world even stronger than his Super Saiyan 4?

"Lord Old Kai, do you mean that, with my current strength, I couldn't beat that person even if I transformed into Super Saiyan 4?" Son Goku asked in disbelief.

Old Kai nodded without the slightest hesitation.
