The Gaze of a Supreme Being!
With that reminder from Vados, Champa the God of Destruction immediately saw the pros and cons.
"All right, all right, I'll listen to you. I won't go, I won't go." Champa waved a hand, his face full of impatience.
Although he acted as though he didn't care, he was still very curious about what exactly had happened in Universe 7.
Meanwhile, in Universe 8.
The God of Destruction Realm.
Inside Liger the God of Destruction's palace.
As the God of Destruction of Universe 8, Liger was unlike the Gods of Destruction of the other universes. He cared a great deal about his appearance.
Even after finishing his work and returning from the lower realm, the first thing he did was groom his fur and tidy up his appearance.
As a fox, even a male one, he cared greatly about his appearance. It was a trait inherited deep in his bones.
Just then, as he groomed his fur, he suddenly sensed two terrifying powers reach his Universe 8.
"This power is... that guy Beerus? And there's another, a pure, powerful mortal power." Liger the God of Destruction's attention was drawn to it. Puzzled, he looked up through the palace window at the distant sky.
That was the direction of Universe 7.
His expression gradually grew serious. He wasn't actually interested in why Beerus had unleashed such powerful God of Destruction Power.
But that mortal power, strong enough to make even him feel threatened, was worth paying attention to.
If such a powerful being had been born in Universe 7, then that powerful fellow would raise the entire universe's average rating by a considerable margin.
"Lord Liger, are you curious about that powerful mortal power in Universe 7?" Cus the Angel walked in from outside the palace without betraying any emotion.
He saw through Liger's thoughts at a glance.
"Yes," Liger the God of Destruction admitted without hesitation. A moment later, he added, "If it were just Beerus's power reaching this place, I wouldn't care. But... that mortal power, which even I have to treat with caution, actually came from Universe 7!"
Seeing this, Cus the Angel smiled faintly. He could see Liger's concern.
That powerful mortal was very likely to send Universe 7's average rating soaring, causing it to surpass their Universe 8.
He knew very well that the relationship between his God of Destruction and Beerus was not particularly good.
No! Rather, Beerus had a bad relationship with every God of Destruction.
Beerus the God of Destruction was powerful, but he was also aloof, arrogant, eccentric, and inscrutable. He had a poor relationship with almost every other God of Destruction.
"If I am not mistaken, that powerful mortal power should belong to the next God of Destruction of Universe 7, personally trained by Beerus."
"Other than that, I don't think there's a better explanation."
Cus the Angel explained.
"I think so too." Liger the God of Destruction agreed with Cus the Angel, but curiosity still drove him to instruct Cus the Angel, "Cus, project what's happening in Universe 7. I don't care what's going on over there, but it's affecting Universe 8 now. Once the battle dies down, I'll go to Beerus and demand an explanation on behalf of Universe 8."
"As you command." Cus the Angel saw through him but said nothing, carrying out Liger the God of Destruction's order.
The Angel Staff tapped against the ground, and through the power of an angel, the situation in Universe 7 was projected in real time.
Seeing this, Liger the God of Destruction perked up. He wanted to see just what kind of being had now appeared in Universe 7.
Besides the Gods of Destruction of the two universes.
In the supreme palace above the Twelve Universes.
Zeno's Palace.
This was where the greatest beings in the world resided. There were two beings who could live here.
The supreme god, Zeno.
Grand Priest the Supreme Angel.
Deep within Zeno's Palace.
A being dressed in a blue high-ranking angel's outfit, with an angel's ring floating behind his back, was observing the situation in Universe 7 through a peculiar black sphere.
This was none other than Grand Priest the Supreme Angel, beneath one god and above all others.
The black sphere before him was no ordinary sphere, either. It was the whole of Universe 7!
"An accidental action back then unintentionally created a warrior capable of rivaling a God of Destruction."
The Grand Priest stared at the actual Universe 7, a meaningful smile appearing on his face.
Back then, he had been roaming the endless river of time and space when he happened to notice a failed world.
In that world, Son Goku, the child of destiny, had died.
On a whim, he had thought of a rather good experiment, guiding that Son Goku's soul across time and space to replace the Son Goku of this world.
He had originally thought the experiment would come to an end when Beerus the God of Destruction intervened. To his surprise, the experiment he had devised on a whim had been such a success.
Without meaning to, he had driven the development of the entire world, bringing this present world one step closer to ascension.
"The future of this space-time has now become clouded with uncertainty under your influence."
"I wonder, in the end, will the outcome be existence or destruction?"
The Grand Priest stared intently at the actual Universe 7 and spoke, his meaning unclear.
The scene shifted.
Back in Universe 7.
On Earth.
Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta was now gasping for breath.
That last attack had consumed a good deal of his stamina, but he had to admit, it felt damn good!
In this world where he couldn't stay for long, unleashing all his power felt wonderful.
Crack, crack!
Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta stretched his limbs, the grinding of bones sounding from within his body. Once he had adjusted his condition, he rapidly extended his senses and locked precisely onto Beerus the God of Destruction's God Ki.
With a single thought, he used Instant Transmission, crossing countless galaxies to arrive in the South Galaxy.
Floating in space with his arms crossed, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta quietly watched the enormous planet before him. It was ten times the size of Earth, but on the verge of collapse.
As far as the eye could see, the entire planet was covered in cracks, densely packed and as eerie as a spiderweb.
At the center of the planet was an abyss with no end in sight.
Beerus the God of Destruction was in that abyss at this very moment.
"You wouldn't be taken out by me that easily, would you?"
"If you really were, the power of a God of Destruction would be far too weak, Beerus."
Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta had no intention of pursuing him. He remained in space, quietly waiting for Beerus the God of Destruction to reappear.
Time passed, second by second.
Before he knew it, half a minute had gone by.
There was still no movement from Beerus the God of Destruction, and Gogeta frowned in puzzlement.
He didn't know what Beerus was preparing, or whether he had some plan to deal with him.
But he knew very well that expecting to defeat Beerus the God of Destruction with that last attack alone was pure wishful thinking.
"What's this guy doing?" Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta was deeply puzzled. Growing more serious, he stared fixedly at the abyss at the center of the enormous planet.
He was absolutely certain that Beerus was in there now.
But what was that guy waiting for?
Suddenly...
Gogeta: "???!!!"
An intense sense of danger from his body's instincts put him on maximum alert.
An eerie purplish-red light emerged from the boundless abyss, and that unfathomable God of Destruction Power erupted once more.
"Looks like you were hurt pretty badly, Beerus, if you're only just recovering now!" Sensing that terrifying, soul-shaking God of Destruction Power, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta felt no fear. Instead, he grew even more excited.
This was what he wanted.
As a fusion warrior, the time he could exist was short to begin with. What he truly wanted was to fight with everything he had in that limited time, leaving no regrets.
Boom!! At the center of the enormous star, overwhelming God of Destruction Power burst forth.
In 0.001 seconds, the entire enormous planet, along with every asteroid within more than ten light-years, was reduced to ashes.
