Dumplings Raining Down on Mount Fuji
Thud! Thud thud!!
As the sun sets, a large tree sways rhythmically amidst the sea of trees.
This towering ancient tree is entwined with many Baisui vines that have spread to other trees, making it much more difficult to shake than to shake a single large tree.
Chachai practiced boxing under the tree, delivering one knee strike followed by two punches, maintaining a very steady rhythm.
His younger brother, Chadama, was on a cleared lawn not far away, holding a bowl of lightly salted water, silently chanting to exercise his lungs with the syllables.
They were both Siam boxers.
However, their situation within Kingdom of Siam is rather precarious because their lineage has a different tradition; they worship the Bodhisattva Yesu.
During the late Qing Dynasty, the Dacheng Kingdom rebellion broke out. In order to suppress the rebels, the Qing government colluded with wealthy merchants in Guangzhou to borrow troops and weapons from countries such as Britain and the United States. They then carried out a brutal massacre of the rebels' civilians within their territory, leaving no one alive.
The defeated rebel soldiers fled to Kingdom of Siam of the foreigners. They then devoted themselves to studying foreign religions, hoping to learn from all schools of thought. However, due to the lack of good avenues for further study, they created the unique lineage of the Bodhisattva Yesu.
This Dharma Lineage naturally did not have the opportunity to return to its homeland and flourish. Although it was passed down to some local disciples, it was rejected and suppressed by the Siam Buddhist community, so its situation was not very comfortable.
In recent years, there have been frequent incidents in the Spirit Realm, which seems to be a good thing for this lineage.
The Cha brothers have steadily increased their strength in recent years, finally demonstrating real ability and being able to earn a living wherever they go.
However, having grown accustomed to hardship in the past, they are not satisfied with their current strength and still want to strive for improvement.
Chadama practiced for a while, drank all the salt water, and showed a resentful expression on his face.
"The resource-rich and opportunity-rich areas of Siam have all been occupied by the guru's grand temples."
"We heard that Fusang is a bridgehead for cultural exchange between the East and the West, possessing both Eastern cultural heritage similar to ours and the Western spirit of freedom, embracing diversity. That's why we came here."
"In the end, only this forest can be considered a place to stay. There are too many wolves and not enough meat; the real good pastures are still in the hands of others."
Chadama put the alms bowl on the ground.
"Truly, all crows are black!"
Mount Fuji is surrounded by many peaks, primeval forests, freshwater lakes, and springs.
Originally, this was a very famous tourist attraction, especially the Five Lakes sightseeing area on the northern slope of Mount Fuji and the safari park on the southeastern slope.
Because of its convenient transportation, it has always been a popular place for tourists to enjoy the scenery.
However, in recent years, Overflow Zone incidents have occurred frequently around the world, and several major cases have occurred around Mount Fuji.
Within the Overflow Zone, the number of dead and injured was enormous, and the news spread, attracting widespread attention. As a result, there are now very few ordinary tourists from outside the area.
Nowadays, those who still cross borders are mostly stubborn martial artists. They come here to try their luck because their own countries haven't done a good job of popularizing martial arts, and people feel that this place has a better atmosphere.
However, Mount Fuji covers an area of more than 1,000 square kilometers.
The more crucial reason why these foreign martial artists only stayed in the Aokigahara Sea of Trees was that the rest of the land had been occupied by local Fusang masters.
On the surface, these Fusang ascetics still belong to different organizations.
Occupying various plots of land in these mountains and recruiting warriors is merely a means to better develop the Spirit Realm resources emerging in this area.
In reality, all these forces Xiong Zuoqu, and they had secretly reached a tacit understanding of cooperation over the years.
You could say they are just different factions within the same large camp.
They shared a common understanding: to worship the Bear Mountain God and to kneel before the powerful Flame Demon Clan in order to strengthen themselves and eventually contend for supremacy.
Although the Cha brothers were unaware of the inside story, they vaguely sensed that the local cultivators who occupied the mountain territory actually had a deep tacit understanding.
These outsiders either had to wholeheartedly submit and do a few dirty deeds to prove their loyalty, or they would be forced to leave.
I'm thinking—
Chachai stopped cultivating, wiped the sweat from his brow, and said, "Why don't we go back?"
"I heard there's a Baosheng Temple in the Golden Triangle area now. It used to be a resource-rich place, but now it's free of drug lords and not controlled by gurus. They're very fair in their dealings."
Chachai up at the sky and said, "Let's go there and find some work; maybe it'll be an opportunity."
Chadama hesitated, "Can it really work?"
"Although things are tough here, we've gotten familiar with the situation and built up some connections. If we leave now, won't we have to start all over again?"
Chachai silent, staring at his younger brother for a long while.
Chadama felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze.
"Are you dating that high school girl?"
Chachai helplessly, "Our lineage emphasizes entering the Dao while still a virgin."
"When Bodhisattva Yesu lived to the age of thirty, he not only had no women, but even his hands were clean. What incredible perseverance that is! Only then could his yang energy be perfected."
"Only when he sees the suffering of the world and the worries of the gods can he shoulder the heavy responsibility, descend the mountain to spread the Tao, and even after his death, for three days and nights, his yang energy remains as strong as a pillar, and his spirit is immortal. These are all the benefits of being a virgin."
Chadama stammered, "Kana is a good girl, but for some reason, her constitution seems to attract evil spirits. I'm trying my best to help her, which is also in accordance with the teachings of Bodhisattva Yesu, a benevolent and compassionate person who saves all living beings—"
As the two brothers were talking, there was a rustling sound from the bushes, and a girl wearing a shirt and capri pants emerged.
The girl had blonde hair and pink lip gloss; she was indeed charming and adorable.
Upon seeing her, Chadama's face lit up with joy. He jumped up and rushed over, exclaiming, "Kana, what brings you here?"
Kana looked a little dazed and scratched her head. "I had another nightmare, and after I got up, I wanted to come and see you."
Chachai coldly from the sidelines.
After waking up from a nightmare, I even put on a full face of makeup before leaving the house.
Chachai wasn't too surprised that the girl had managed to find the brothers.
This girl was precocious and seemed to have some kind of Mind Power talent since childhood, which was sometimes effective and sometimes not. She tried her best to hide it in order not to become a priestess.
Chachai always felt that Chadama's encounter with the girl might be because the girl saw that he was easy to fool and wanted to find her a free bodyguard.
It's one thing to trick someone into being a free bodyguard for a short time, but to offer to be a free bodyguard for life is a bit unethical.
Seeing Chachai's feigned fierce look, the girl found it amusing, but said outwardly, "Malaysia, did I come at the wrong time?"
"You've come at the right time; I have something to tell you."
Chachai said, "My brother and I will be returning to Siam soon, and we won't be training here anymore. Don't wander into the woods carelessly. If you get carried away by a bear, there will be no one here to help you."
Chadama was both surprised and anxious, and wanted to repeat his previous statement, but was interrupted by his elder brother.
"Kid, do you remember the friends we had back in our hometown, the Choy Li Fut Fist gym?"
"Compared to the few connections I've just built up here, aren't my old friends more trustworthy?"
Chachai said this, a strange light shone in his eyes. "I've heard that the Baosheng Temple Master, the founder of the market, is none other than that Tianshan swordsman, Mr. Chu Tianshu."
"He is probably the most skilled martial artist of our time. If we have the opportunity to receive his guidance, perhaps our Bodhisattva Yesu Fist can make up for many of its shortcomings."
The heavily made-up girl's eyes flashed strangely when she heard Chu Tianshu's name.
"Chu Tianshu?"
Chadama retorted, "He's only in his twenties. He might be really good at fighting, but can martial arts skill be judged solely by fighting ability?"
"In Fusang, there are many famous martial arts masters who even live in these mountains. Their exquisite martial arts can withstand cannon fire and waterfalls, and it is said that they can even cure cancer, ward off all ghosts, and protect against all evil."
"Those are the real masters. We can go and visit them, even if it costs us some money."
Chachai laughed in exasperation.
"Do you really believe their martial arts can cure cancer? And make them immune to all evil? What if there really were a hundred evil spirits—"
Just then, a low, rumbling sound suddenly came from the sky.
Everyone in the woods looked up.
In the distance, bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun, several airplanes could be seen gliding in.
These planes are probably less than a kilometer above the ground, and people on the ground can clearly see the shape of their wings and the windows.
The cabin door suddenly opened, and figures leaped out.
Almost everyone was holding a long banner, but it seemed like no one was carrying a parachute backpack.
The martial artists in the forest watched this scene with puzzlement, wondering what was going on.
Suddenly, Chadama raised his hand and rubbed his eyes.
Am I seeing things?
He just felt as if the number of people in the sky had suddenly increased dozens of times.
But in the blink of an eye, it was still just a sparse crowd.
"You brat, your yang energy is so weak, you've even lost your discerning eye?"
Chachai stared wide-eyed at the sky, his voice filled with utter shock.
Those are... ghosts!!!
