Shisui and Obito (2)
His gaze followed Kakashi and Koki's trail relentlessly, as if in self-torture, until they disappeared around the corner, their figures vanishing completely from his sight.
Shisui was filled with grievance and resentment. He suddenly withdrew his hands from the windowsill, clenched his fists, and dug his fingertips deep into his palms, bringing a sharp pain.
His chest felt as if a boulder was pressing down on it, his breathing became unusually heavy, and he felt his heart pounding wildly, each beat accompanied by an indescribable pain.
With Kakashi and Koki gone, the last glimmer of hope was extinguished, Shisui could no longer bear the grievances in his heart.
He closed his eyes, a single tear slowly sliding down his pale cheek, finally dripping silently onto the cold windowsill.
Tears blurred his vision, but could not erase the pain in his heart.
He felt an unprecedented loneliness, as if everything in the world was against him.
He wanted to shout, to release the pent-up emotions within him, but his throat felt like it was blocked by something, and he couldn't make a sound.
"He was the one who refused Koki's request," Shisui thought to himself, blaming himself. He covered his face with his still-bleeding hand and began to sob softly.
He regretted it.
He had already regretted it.
When Koki returns, Shisui will definitely apologize to him properly.
In that long corridor, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the eaves, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow on the smooth wooden floor.
The Shisui and Obito lay separately on the wooden ground.
Their bodies appeared so relaxed and at ease, yet their thoughts were like the ever-changing clouds in the sky, distant and elusive.
The two remained silent, gazing at the blue sky, listening to the melodious sound of the wind chimes, and watching the clouds of various shapes slowly drift across the sky.
Their minds were filled with longing for the same person, and their eyes revealed a deep contemplation and confusion, as if they were searching for an answer, yet they didn't know what that answer was.
Just then, a cloud drifted by slowly, its shape remarkably resembling a heart.
Shisui and Obito both turned their gazes to the cloud, their eyes meeting in the air, each seeing the surprise in the other's eyes.
As the poem says, "The heart of a young person is always filled with poetry."
"Thinking of him brings me joy, maybe that's it..." Shisui murmured softly.
Obito didn't hear Shisui's whisper clearly. "What did you say?" He moved closer to Shisui, trying to catch the faint sound.
Shisui looked at Obito, remained silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled, "No."
He changed the subject, "It's nothing, Koki didn't bring lunch, she should be home for lunch, right? Obito-nii, I'm going back to training."
Obito looked at Shisui with a puzzled expression. There seemed to be some deeper meaning hidden in the other's smile that he could not understand. He wanted to ask more questions, but Shisui did not give him the chance.
Shisui stood up and walked towards the courtyard, his movements swift and decisive, without the slightest hesitation.
Obito sat up straight, his gaze following Shisui's figure as they moved through the courtyard. Shisui's Shuriken seemed to have a life of their own, accurately striking their targets, each swing accompanied by a sharp whistling sound.
Although Shisui's training remained rigorous, Obito sensed that a certain weight in his heart seemed to have lightened.
Shisui's gaze was no longer so heavy, and even a faint, almost imperceptible smile occasionally flickered at the corner of his mouth.
Obito felt somewhat bored. 'How boring.' Obito thought to himself, and slowly lay down, once again falling into deep thought.
Koki opened the courtyard gate, and a gentle breeze caressed her face, carrying with it the verdant greenery and fragrance of the courtyard.
Sweat trickled down his forehead, a clear sign that he had undergone rigorous training. He walked into the house with Kakashi, only to find the scene in the yard somewhat unexpected.
Shisui stood in the courtyard, his figure as tall and straight as a mountain peak, his hand gripping Shuriken tightly, each throw precisely hitting the bullseye within his sight.
Obito lay comfortably on the wooden planks of the corridor, sunlight streaming down his face, creating a serene and contented scene. His eyes were half-closed, as if he were enjoying this rare moment of tranquility.
Koki vaguely remembered that when the morning light first appeared, he specifically asked Shisui and Obito about their plans, and both of them said that they would have things to do that day and would not be home.
However, at this moment, they were in their own backyard, one busy with training, and the other immersed in their own world, which surprised Koki.
Just then, a person appeared before them like the wind.
The surrounding air seemed to be frozen in time, filled with an indescribable, subtle atmosphere, and even time seemed to stand still.
[Because I went inside, a large section was deleted here... It was roughly about Shisui hugging Koki.]
Kakashi hid in the shadows of the door frame, his hand unconsciously gripping the hilt of his sword. His eyes revealed a complex mix of emotions, and an indescribable feeling welled up inside him, as if his territory had been invaded, leaving him somewhat caught off guard.
Obito's brows furrowed, his sharp gaze fixed on Shisui and Koki, his heart churning with turbulent emotions.
Why is it so offensive?
Both of them felt the same urge: to step forward and separate Koki from Shisui.
But they all chose to remain inactive, because they understood that there was no justification for their actions.
