A Cozy Moment-A Little Sweet Treat~
In the depths of his dream, Koki gently turned over. In a daze, he felt a delicate breeze, a cool breeze in the height of summer, refreshing and comforting.
Koki's eyelids trembled slightly as he gradually opened them. His vision was still a little blurry, but when he looked closely, he saw a warm and picturesque scene before him—Itachi was sitting quietly beside him, holding a fan and fanning him gently.
Seeing her younger brother, Koki's face lit up with a gentle smile, a smile full of love for Itachi.
When Itachi saw his brother wake up, his previously focused little face immediately broke into a happy smile, and his eyes sparkled with joy.
He gently put down the fan in his hand, stretched out his delicate little hand, and tenderly wiped away the sweat from Koki's forehead as she slept.
But Koki's smile could last long, a sudden itch rose in his throat, followed by violent heaving of his chest, as if a force was surging within him.
"Cough cough cough..."
Koki coughed involuntarily, the sound unusually sharp and piercing, as if she were coughing up her lungs, and a painful expression appeared on her face.
"Brother, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Itachi asked anxiously, his voice trembling with a hint of tears.
"Cough cough cough." Koki couldn't reply. Her body trembled with each cough, which aggravated her wounds. She could clearly feel the pain from the wounds on her stomach, as if countless needles were piercing her deeply.
Damn it! It still hurts so much?! Koki cursed inwardly from the pain!
Seeing this, Itachi quickly climbed off the bed, walked briskly to the bedside cabinet, and reached out to pick up the water glass.
He gripped the cup tightly in his small hands, Earth Flow Koki's side, and carefully held the cup to Koki's lips, his voice childish yet full of concern. "Brother, drink some water."
Koki drank a few sips of water from Itachi's small hand, his heart filled with emotion. Looking at Itachi's earnest expression, he felt a pang of guilt.
Lying injured in bed, he was surprised that his younger brother, so young, already knew how to take care of him. He realized he wasn't a good older brother at all. A bitter smile crept onto Koki's lips.
"My baby, thank you, brother, you've gone to so much trouble." Koki said softly, her fingers gently stroking Itachi's soft hair.
Itachi shook his head, a bright smile spreading across his face, and said softly, "Brother, you need to get better soon. I can take care of you."
"Good boy~"
"Where's Mom?" Koki asked curiously.
"Mom was worried we'd be hungry when we woke up, so she went to prepare lunchboxes."
"Koki..." Just then, a faint voice interrupted the two brothers' conversation.
Koki, who had been lying quietly on the hospital bed, shifted slightly. He raised his head slightly, looking towards the bedside with a hint of doubt in his eyes.
What she saw made Koki's eyes widen in surprise.
Kakashi, Obito, and Shisui were found fast asleep, lying close together on the floor next to the bed.
Their sleeping positions were all different: Kakashi's arms hung naturally at his sides, Obito's face was turned slightly to the side, and Shisui's legs were unconsciously curled up together.
What's even more puzzling is that there was clearly an unused bed in the ward, a clean and spacious bed that could provide a comfortable sleeping space.
However, instead of resting in bed, they simply spread a sheet on the cold floor next to the hospital bed and slept there.
The bed sheet was wrinkled and obviously couldn't compare to the bed itself, significantly reducing its comfort.
But they seemed unconcerned about their simple surroundings, still lost in their sweet dreams.
Koki lay quietly on the bed, carefully looking at the three people on the floor. Their faces were etched with exhaustion.
Kakashi's brows furrowed slightly, as if he were lost in thought even in his sleep; Shisui's eyes were closed, and his obvious dark circles revealed his exhaustion; while Obito's hair was disheveled, and a barely perceptible trace of drowsiness lingered at the corner of his mouth.
They're just kids.
At that moment, a wave of emotion rippled through Koki's heart.
As we all know, ninjas of Kakashi and Shisui's caliber possess an extraordinary sensitivity to any subtle changes in their movements. This alertness is not innate, but rather stems from their rigorous training over many years.
However, even with noises in the ward, they remained sound asleep, showing no reaction whatsoever, which demonstrates just how exhausted they had been over the past two days.
Koki thought to herself that she had to let the three of them go home and get some proper rest; how could they possibly sleep well in this noisy environment?
His eyes were full of concern. As he thought this, he unconsciously put his finger to his lips and whispered to Itachi beside him not to make a sound.
Itachi's bright eyes flickered slightly, and he immediately understood what Koki meant. He imitated Koki's actions, nodding obediently, his childlike face revealing a maturity and understanding far beyond his years.
Ahhhhh! My little brother is so cute! Koki screamed in her heart!
With Itachi by his side, the entire morning passed quietly. A peaceful and warm atmosphere filled the ward, and even time seemed to become exceptionally gentle.
Before long, the three of them gradually woke up from their slumber.
Shisui was the first to wake up. His previously hazy eyes quickly regained their clarity and brightness after observing Koki's condition.
Shisui slowly stood up, stretched his body, and yawned. Then he went to the bathroom, washed his face with cool water, and the cool feeling instantly spread throughout his body, making him feel refreshed and invigorated.
He returned to the bedside and carefully fed Koki a few sips of warm water.
Then, he went to the window, gently pulled back the curtains, and let the soft sunlight filter through the fabric into the room, bringing a touch of bright warmth to the small space.
Just then, Kakashi slowly opened his eyes, his gaze still somewhat hazy, carrying a hint of dazedness from not being fully awake.
Kakashi stretched lazily, got up from the ground, half-closed his eyes and scanned his surroundings, his gaze landing on Obito, who was fast asleep on the ground.
A sly smile crept up the corners of his mouth beneath his mask. He then crept Earth Flow Obito, raised his foot, and kicked him hard.
Obito was enjoying a sweet dream when he suddenly felt a powerful force attack him. Startled, he sat up abruptly and roared, "You damned Kakashi! You bastard! You kicked me again!"
His voice echoed in the cramped hospital room, filled with boundless anger and resentment.
Koki lay on the pristine white hospital bed, looking at the scene before him, and couldn't help but giggle. His laughter was crisp and cheerful, as if he had temporarily forgotten the pain he was suffering from.
"Cough cough..." Just as she was laughing, Koki started coughing again. The coughing was rapid and violent, breaking the joyful atmosphere.
The coughing came in waves, like a violent storm, and it was heartbreaking to hear.
Upon hearing Koki's cough, Obito immediately snapped out of his daze, his angry expression instantly turning into deep worry.
He quickly stood up, walked briskly to Koki's bedside, gently patted his back, and tenderly comforted him, "Take it slow, take it slow, don't rush."
Kakashi and Shisui rushed over, their faces full of worry.
