Dreams
Koki walked briskly alongside Shisui down the long street. They chatted as they walked, their conversation revolving around the question of who their future teacher would be. Along the way, all sorts of guesses kept popping into their minds.
"Could it be from the Hyuga Clan?"
Koki muttered to herself, but then gently shook her head, "No!"
The thought of the Hyuga Clan's chilling Byakugan ability to see through everything filled him with dread. That gaze, seemingly able to see through everything, made him feel like he had no secrets at all, as if he were standing naked in front of everyone. This feeling was truly terrifying.
The mere thought sent chills down his spine.
"How's the Inuzuka Clan? Seems pretty good?" Koki's eyes suddenly lit up.
He imagined himself playing with a group of adorable dogs, those furry little creatures running and jumping around him, not only as loyal companions but also as powerful support in battle.
"The Ino-Shika-Cho family? No, no, all three of them have family secret techniques; they must cooperate to unleash their full potential."
These secret techniques can only unleash their full power through close and seamless cooperation. However, as a member of the Uchiha Clan, achieving such a high level of synergy with the Ino-Shika-Cho clan is practically impossible.
After all, each clan has a very different style and characteristics of Ninjutsu, so it is not easy to integrate them.
"The Aburame Clan?" They seem to be incredibly versatile, and the entire family are all trendy men—capable of everything from detective work and assassination to security, but...
Koki's expression suddenly became complicated and inscrutable. Just thinking about the image of those insects covering his entire body made him shiver involuntarily, and goosebumps covered his skin.
"Absolutely impossible! Absolutely not!" Koki shook her head repeatedly, as if she wanted to erase that horrifying image from her mind with unwavering determination.
"Alright, stop thinking about it. We'll find out soon enough anyway."
"Too!"
As expected, just as Shisui had said, the moment they stepped into the training field, all the complicated guesses and worries deep in Koki's heart vanished instantly, like smoke and clouds swept away by a gust of Hayate.
Beneath that ancient tree, weathered by the passage of time, stood a gentle and refined blond youth.
Minato Namikaze's clear, lake-like azure eyes were radiating a gentle light, like moonlight, as he tenderly gazed at Koki.
"Koki, we meet again." Minato's voice drifted into Koki's ears like a gentle breeze.
The sudden greeting froze Koki in place, his mind going blank as if he had lost the ability to think.
Along the way, he racked his brains to imagine countless possible teacher appearances, but he never expected that his mentor would be Minato Namikaze!
This means that he will soon become a fellow student with Kakashi, Obito, and Rin-nee.
Does this mean that from now on, I'll be relegated to being their junior brother?
Keep in mind that at this very moment, Kakashi and Obito are out on a mission, and are probably completely unaware of this change.
Compared to the family teachers I had guessed about along the way, Minato was clearly far more outstanding. His strength was astonishing, enough to turn the tide of battle and become the key to victory.
Following Minato, one will surely learn a great deal of valuable knowledge, and may even master the Flying Thunder God Technique, which is truly... exciting.
A short while later, Gekko Hayate's somewhat slender figure also quietly appeared on the training ground.
Looking at the three energetic young men before him, Minato Namikaze couldn't help but smile gently. His handsome face appeared even more amiable in the dim light.
"My name is Minato Namikaze, Jonin from Konoha. From today onwards, I will be your teacher." His smile was shy yet sincere.
"Now, let's get to know each other. Each of you should give a detailed self-introduction. The three of you may already know each other, but to me, you are still strangers."
Minato's gaze slowly swept over the three boys. "This will not only help me understand you, but it will also facilitate your future cooperation. After all, fighting alone is unsustainable. There are no all-powerful ninjas in this world. You must learn to unite and face challenges together."
"Yes!" the three boys replied in unison.
They exchanged a glance, and as the only one who had ever dealt with Minato, Koki straightened up slightly and broke the silence first.
"I am Uchiha Kōki, skilled in Taijutsu and Genjutsu. I possess the Sharingan, Kekkei Genkai. My hobby? Food. Food brings me endless joy and satisfaction."
He paused briefly, then continued, "As for dreams, it seems I'm still hovering on the edge of dreams and reality, not yet finding that clear destination."
Then, Shisui Uchiha's voice rang out, "I am Shisui Uchiha, skilled in Genjutsu and Body Flicker Technique. Like Koki, my Kekkei Genkai is also the Sharingan. I like to eat grilled fish and raise crows. Those adorable crows are my companions, my dreams..."
Shisui paused slightly, his gaze softening as he looked at Koki, Koki was also gazing at him with expectant eyes.
"My dream is to protect someone precious to me." Shisui's eyes instantly filled with endless tenderness.
Upon hearing this, not only was Koki stunned, but the other two were also taken aback. However, they quickly realized who Shisui wanted to protect.
Of course, Koki knew this too. He didn't dare to look Shisui in the eye, and lowered his head shyly, a faint blush rising on his face.
"I am Gekko Hayate. My Kekkei Genkai grants me the ability to Transparent Release. I am skilled in Genjutsu and Konoha-Style Kenjutsu — the Dance of the Crescent Moon. As for me, there doesn't seem to be anything I particularly like or dislike."
He smiled slightly and continued, "As for dreams... I'm willing to lend Koki a hand and help him achieve his dreams."
These words plunged everyone into deep thought once again. Is helping others achieve their dreams too selfless?
The three people's introductions shocked Minato several times.
First, there was their invincible strength displayed during the assessment, and their awe-inspiring Kekkei Genkai.
Secondly, there are their dreams...
Minato's gaze fell on Koki, who was deep in thought, and the smile on his lips deepened.
This child has a captivating charm that makes people want to get closer... It's as if an invisible force draws people to him involuntarily.
