Choosing a Name
The sound of Kakashi and Koki's heartbeats echoed in the quiet corridor.
Sensing the strange atmosphere, Koki broke the silence. "Kakashi, what brings you here?"
"Nothing's wrong." Kakashi's voice was like snowflakes in winter, cold yet pure. After a pause, he continued, "What did you do today?"
"Huh? Me? I went shopping with my mom today, and then I ran into Might Guy- senpai. We had dinner together." Koki answered truthfully.
"Might Guy?" Kakashi frowned slightly, puzzled by Koki's words. "How did you meet him?"
"It's quite a coincidence! I ran into Might Guy on the street and had a match with him, and I lost." Koki's tone became excited. "But! We had another match later! And I won, hahaha!"
"What? You fought Might Guy? It wasn't Taijutsu, was it?" Kakashi asked anxiously.
Koki didn't understand why Kakashi was so worried. He nodded obediently, then, remembering that he was in the dark and Kakashi shouldn't be able to see him, he added, "Yes, it really is Taijutsu."
"Are you hurt?!" Kakashi blurted out.
He knew all too well how terrifying Might Guy's Taijutsu were; that guy had challenged him many times, and each time he failed, Might Guy would either walk upside down five hundred times in the village or run five hundred times around the playground.
Over time, that guy's strength improved rapidly, and he could even withstand a move or two from him.
His father once told him, "Kakashi, don't think that just because you passed the Ninja Academy entrance exam you can slack off. If you don't keep practicing, that kid will grow stronger than you one day, and he will surpass you."
In Hatake Sakumo's eyes at the time, Kakashi had no interest in considering Might Guy as a rival, but if Kakashi continued to let himself go, Might Guy would inevitably surpass him one day.
My father's words were indeed proven true. Everyone said that Might Guy was the bottom of Konoha and a laughing stock, but only Kakashi, who had fought him, knew how terrifying his Taijutsu skills were.
Koki is actually testing his Taijutsu against Might Guy! Is he injured? Kakashi worriedly took a step closer to Koki, bringing the two of them even closer together.
Koki noticed Kakashi's sudden tenseness and was a little puzzled, but still replied, "It's nothing, he just hit me a few times, I'm fine."
Actually, it would have been better if Kakashi hadn't brought it up, Koki feel her injuries throbbing again.
Kakashi breathed a sigh of relief, but still asked with concern, "Are you really alright? Are you sure you're not hurt?"
Koki smiled and shook her head, "It's really okay. Although I lost, I learned a lot. Besides, this isn't the first time I've gotten injured while practicing Ninjutsu. These minor injuries are nothing to me; I'm already used to it."
"But I don't want you to get hurt." Kakashi's murmured words were filled with deep concern.
"What?" Koki didn't hear clearly.
"It's nothing!" Surprised by this inexplicable feeling of heartache he'd never experienced before, Kakashi was a little at a loss for words. "You're not allowed to fight Might Guy again!"
"Why? I made a promise with Senior Kai that we would compete several times a week." Koki was puzzled.
"Absolutely not!" Kakashi's tone was firm, but then he realized it was too harsh, so he softened his tone and said gently, "From now on, how about I practice with you?"
When Kakashi's voice is cold and aloof, it's like a towering mountain range, inspiring awe and creating a sense of distance; but when his tone is gentle, it's like a refreshing spring, making people feel close to him. Koki doesn't consider himself a fan of voices, but Kakashi's voice is just so beautiful that he can't help but want to listen to it a little longer.
"Is that not allowed?" Kakashi's voice deepened, tinged with a hint of grievance, as Koki remained silent for a long time.
"It's possible, but I've already made an agreement with Senior Kai, and fighting him will definitely improve my strength." When Kai's Taijutsu were mentioned, Koki had to admit how powerful they were.
"No need to worry, I'll discuss this with him," Kakashi said confidently. "Improve your strength? How about I practice with you? I can do everything, you'll learn faster."
Kakashi wasn't just boasting.
He graduated at the age of five and became Chunin at the age of six, a record that remains unmatched to this day.
Furthermore, being promoted to Chunin means being able to stand on your own and become a captain-level figure when a team is carrying out missions.
Kakashi's confidence stemmed from his extensive leadership experience and the knowledge he had accumulated since childhood. Moreover, he knew that Koki could learn even more from him! Kakashi clenched his fist.
Yes, all of this is for Koki good. Only by having him train with him can he improve his strength more quickly.
Besides, unlike Might Guy, I am not reckless and will definitely protect Koki and prevent him from getting hurt in the slightest.
"Actually... we can train together, and we can invite Obito-nii and Shisui along too," Koki suggested, scratching his head.
Everyone has different strengths, so if we train together, we can learn from each other's strengths and make up for each other's weaknesses, Koki thought naively.
"Actually, I was researching a new Ninjutsu today." After a moment of silence, Kakashi skillfully changed the subject.
"What is it!?" Koki's attention was immediately drawn, and she asked curiously.
"This Ninjutsu is perfect for the Uchiha Clan to practice. Would you like to train with me?" Kakashi coaxed.
"Of course I'd love to!!" Koki was tempted.
Seeing that Koki had indeed taken the bait, Kakashi's lips curled into a smug smile.
"I once invented an A-rank Ninjutsu Ninjutsu combines the essence of Chakra Nature Transformation and Shape Transformation. The user condenses Lightning Release Chakra into a powerful white electric current, holds it tightly in their palm, and then thrusts it at the target with tremendous speed. The electric current surges like Chidori chirping, piercing the eardrums, so I named it 'Chidori' (Chidori)," Kakashi said leisurely.
Chidori? Koki nodded. He knew about this Ninjutsu. Kakashi was indeed a genius, having developed an A-rank Ninjutsu at such a young age.
"Today I studied the scroll and optimized and improved it. In terms of skills, it is similar to Chidori, both gathering Lightning Release Chakra in the hand. However, its destructive power is superior to Chidori, and it uses blue electricity. You can think of it as an improvement on Chidori."
"The drawback of this technique is that it requires a rapid attack, which may cause blurred vision and make it difficult to see the enemy, leading to a counterattack. Therefore, it needs to be used in conjunction with the Sharingan to maximize its effectiveness."
"This Ninjutsu is a perfect match for you, Koki. Why don't you name it?" Kakashi eagerly awaited Koki's response.
