Memories
Koki patted Itachi, a silent signal for him to stop. He knew his brother meant no harm, he was just too worried about him.
As expected, Itachi obeyed his brother's instruction and stopped blowing.
Koki shifted her gaze slightly, and sure enough, Obito was still in the same spot, diligently searching for clues in his memory. This sight made Koki smile inwardly.
He deliberately raised his voice and said jokingly, "Hey! Obito-nii, you haven't really forgotten, have you? That was our important 'date'! I'd be heartbroken."
Obito Koki's somewhat angry expression, Obito felt a pang of panic. He quickly shook his head, trying to explain, "Koki, I... I really don't remember. I didn't mean to. You have to believe me."
Koki Obito's flustered state, Koki's playful intentions vanished instantly. "Alright, Obito-nii, I was just joking with you."
Koki said softly, "I know you didn't mean it, it's just that sometimes our memories get blurry. Here's a hint: when we were drinking last night, do you remember?"
Last night? Drunk?
The keywords "Koki" acted like a key, unlocking the door to Obito's memories. He gazed at Koki's profile, his vision blurring, his fingers unconsciously rubbing his pocket, his thoughts seemingly traveling back in time to that night.
After getting drunk... he seemed to have captured some fragments!
Suddenly, images of his drunken night flashed through Obito's mind, causing his heart to race and his cheeks to involuntarily flush.
He recalled that after he got drunk last night, he hugged Koki and even shed his vulnerable tears in Koki arms.
The memories of helplessness and vulnerability filled him with an indescribable sense of shame.
He glanced at Koki furtively and saw that he was coaxing Itachi and didn't seem to notice anything unusual about him.
Obito a sigh of relief, but his sense of shame grew stronger. He didn't know how to face Koki, nor how to explain his loss of composure.
What else? How come he can't remember anything else besides these?
Obito tried to shift his attention to other things, but those haunting memories clung to him like maggots, making it impossible for him to break free.
Those images were like brands, indelible, growing stronger with each recollection, and the more he thought about them, the more ashamed he felt. Obito felt his cheeks getting hotter and hotter, as if they were being burned by fire.
"Obito-nii, do you remember now?" After talking with Koki, Koki was surprised to find the surroundings quiet. He turned around and was surprised to find that Obito's face was so red.
Is he feeling unwell or sick?
At this Koki couldn't care less about being a gossip or not, and said to Obito with concern, "Obito-nii, why is your face so red? Are you feeling unwell? Let's go home quickly and let Mom take a look."
Mikoto is particularly attentive to her child's health, and no minor ailment escapes her keen eye.
"No... no need." In the soft twilight, Obito's voice trembled slightly as he frantically avoided Koki's concerned gaze, like a startled fawn.
His gaze wandered uneasily until it landed on Shisui, as if he had found a fellow sufferer in the same predicament.
The reason was simple: Shisui's face was even redder than his!
Obito thought to himself, "This is truly unbelievable!"
However, he couldn't care less about that now. In his haste, Obito shouted, "Koki, I'm really fine! Look, Shisui's face is even redder!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the eyes of the three people present all focused on Shisui.
The sunset was as beautiful as a poem, casting golden-red rays across the sky and painting it in a vibrant crimson hue, like a magnificent painting.
Against this dreamlike and beautiful backdrop, Shisui's figure appeared even more upright and elegant, his hair fluttering lightly in the breeze, adding a touch of ethereal beauty.
The Shisui, which had been peacefully appreciating the sunset, was stirred by Koki's words.
When Shisui heard Koki's words, the image of him holding Koki's waist and nestled in his arms flashed through his mind, and he immediately blushed and his heart raced.
Shisui's handsome face, already naturally beautiful, appeared even more radiant under the setting sun, her cheeks flushed with a faint blush, as warm and beautiful as the evening glow.
At that moment, Koki looked over, Shisui felt his heart pounding faster, as if it were about to leap out of his chest. He knew his face was burning red, but he couldn't control his emotions.
He could only pretend to silently admire the sunset, trying to blend himself into the beautiful scenery.
Good heavens! Their little faces were all red, which startled Koki! He stopped and asked with concern, "Shisui, what's wrong?"
Upon hearing Koki's question, Shisui was reminded of his drunkenness, and his heart became even more flustered. He didn't know how to answer and could only lower his head in silence.
Obito stepped forward, affectionately put his arm around Shisui's shoulder, and explained to the somewhat worried Koki, "Koki, we're fine. It's just that the weather is really hot, and with the setting sun, our faces look a little red."
Obito finished speaking, he gently touched Shisui, as if urging him to speak.
"Yes, Obito-nii is right, that's exactly it." Shisui answered in a low voice after receiving Obito's prompting, but he still didn't raise his face.
Koki glanced at the two suspiciously, and seeing that they seemed to be really alright, she continued walking.
Obito, Obito breathed a sigh of relief and changed the subject, asking, "Koki, what exactly is this 'promise' you're talking about?"
It would have been better if they hadn't mentioned it, but when the "promise" was brought up, a mischievous smile appeared on Koki's face, and he gestured for Obito to take something out of his pants pocket.
Obito looked at him with a puzzled expression, not understanding what he meant.
"Take the contents out and let us see." Seeing his expression, Koki sighed and had no choice but to remind him.
"Oh, oh." Obito carefully took a "letter of commitment" out of Koki's pocket.
His gaze swept lightly over Koki, Koki responded with a meaningful look, urging him to look directly at her.
Koki was secretly delighted, his eyes gleaming with cunning as he watched Obito's every move.
As expected, Obito quickly finished reading the words on the paper, then looked up at Koki with an incredulous expression, his face displaying a dramatic range of emotions!
