Sulk
Although Obito was extremely reluctant to believe that this was his signature, the familiar strokes in the lower right corner and the blurry outline in his memory ruthlessly told him that it was indeed his signature!
How could I have signed such a document?! I'm actually going to take Koki with me to confess to Rin?! Has the world gone mad?!
Obito's gaze fell on Koki's radiant smile, and his emotions surged like a tidal wave, almost overwhelming his reason.
"Don't forget, Obito-nii, if you don't keep your promise, there might be far more people who know about this 'promise' than you think!"
Koki smiled amiably, but her words carried a hint of 'threat'.
"I've got it!" Obito clenched his teeth, each word seemingly squeezed out from between them.
He desperately wanted to tear the paper to shreds, but every time he made a move, seeing Koki's radiant smile, his hand would fall limply, and he simply couldn't bring himself to do it.
That's enough, that's enough.
Seeing this, Shisui felt an unusual ripple in his heart. He quietly moved forward, wanting to see what was written on the paper in Obito's hand.
To everyone's surprise, as soon as he approached, Obito reacted as if he had seen a ghost, abruptly withdrawing his hand and clutching the paper tightly in his palm, as if holding something extremely precious and risky.
"Hey, Obito-nii, what are you doing?"
Shisui blinked curiously. "Why are you so nervous? Is there some incredible secret written on it? Can I take a look?"
Obito glared at Shisui, a warning glint in his eyes. "Shisui, don't talk nonsense. This is my private matter!"
Seeing this, Shisui stopped teasing him and simply shrugged with a smile. "Alright, alright, since you don't want to talk about it, I won't force you."
Koki, however, glanced at Shisui, thinking to herself: So Shisui can be curious too!
"Alright, alright, it's getting late," Obito said, urging, "Let's hurry back."
"OK."
They joked and teased each other all the way home.
As he took off his shoes in the entryway and stepped into his home, Obito didn't linger. He went straight back to his room, lay on his bed, and clutched the "Book of Promise" tightly in his hand, his mind Obito with a myriad of thoughts.
Do I really have to take Koki out this weekend?
But I don't want to confess my feelings to Lin right now.
It seems Lin doesn't like him either.
Was Lin misled by her own 'normal' behavior?
I don't think I'm as sad as I thought I was?
More than that, I think I'm more bothered by Koki wanting to see Rin?
Why is Koki so interested in Rin?
They don't seem to have met before, do they?
Why is that?
Obito frowned, his gaze fixed on the paper in his hand, his thoughts becoming increasingly chaotic.
The young Uchiha couldn't fully understand his own feelings. He raised his hand, seemingly wanting to burn the "promise," but Koki's face kept appearing in his mind, pulling him back from the brink.
Obito thinking for a while, Obito sighed in resignation, got out of bed, and solemnly locked the papers in the drawer.
Forget it, there's still time before the weekend. Obito lay back on the bed, closed his eyes, and let his thoughts drift with the name of Koki, hoping that time would bring him an answer.
In the entryway, Koki carefully placed Itachi on the ground, then soothingly rubbed her arms and shoulders, as if that would dispel the throbbing weakness.
His breathing was rapid and shallow, and his face was slightly pale. Clearly, the fierce battle with Shisui had left him exhausted.
It turned out that Koki had already felt soreness in her body on the way home, but not wanting to worry everyone, Koki didn't say anything and endured the pain to get home.
In fact, both of them were injured in that confrontation with Shisui.
Not only was Shisui injured, Koki was also badly hurt by the fall. After returning home and putting Itachi down, he was overwhelmed by pain all over his body.
"Brother, are you alright?" Itachi, who was always watching over Koki, immediately noticed something was wrong. He looked at Koki's pale face and felt anxious.
Itachi was filled with self-reproach, blaming himself for not being able to resist the temptation of that moment of tenderness, even though he knew his brother had just gone through a battle, and for letting his brother carry him home.
Koki gently shook her head. "It's alright."
He tried to make his voice sound relaxed, "It's okay, Itachi, I'm just a little tired. I'll be back to my old self after a few days of rest."
Koki wasn't lying about this. Although he was in pain all over, fortunately there were no serious injuries, and he only needed to rest for a few days.
However, Shisui's situation was different. Thinking of Shisui's swollen arms and the pathetic way he had been kicked away, Koki couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness.
It seems that everything is his fault; he insisted on fighting Shisui, causing Shisui to be innocently implicated.
Koki thought this to herself, she looked up at Shisui and saw him standing not far away, looking at her with concern, as if he wanted to say something, but he didn't say anything.
Looking at Shisui's swollen arms, the wounds all over his body, and his concerned eyes, Koki couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow in her heart.
"I'm sorry, Koki, I hurt you. It's all my fault. I won't do it again..." Shisui saw that Koki was staring at him without saying anything and mistakenly thought that Koki was seriously injured. He was filled with self-blame and didn't know how to apologize.
This idiot! He's actually apologizing to me! Koki really didn't know what to say!
He hugged his younger brother tightly, held Shisui's hand, and walked into the living room together. He quickly and neatly had the two of them sit on the sofa, and then went to find the first-aid kit.
Koki took out sterile cotton balls and bandages from the first-aid kit and carefully wiped the wound with the Shisui. His movements were gentle and careful, as if he was afraid of hurting the Shisui.
Looking at Shisui's injured arms, forehead, legs, and the scars on his body, Koki felt both sorry for Shisui and angry with herself, remaining silent throughout.
Shisui cautiously observed Koki's serious face, remaining silent throughout. He didn't know what he had done wrong, and his heart was filled with grievance and helplessness.
Itachi sat obediently to the side without saying a word.
The two had never seen Koki like this before, and they were so frightened that they didn't dare to breathe.
