Is Obito Troubled Too?
Each pearl is round and smooth, radiating a faint silvery-white luster. They complement each other, forming a harmonious and exquisite chain.
Furthermore, the design of this bracelet is ingenious, with tiny metal decorations interspersed between the pearls. The metal parts have a matte finish, making the overall look both textured and understated, without appearing feminine. It perfectly balances the softness of the pearls with the dignified look of a man wearing it.
In order to make Koki accept his feelings without reservation, Kakashi did not reveal the actual value of the bracelet, which was almost the entire reward he received for this mission.
I bought it because I thought Koki would like it, that's all.
"This... I really can't accept this." Koki's fingers gently stroked the bracelet, forcing her gaze away from it and turning to Kakashi.
Actually, he liked it at first sight, but he couldn't accept a gift without having done anything for it. Moreover, the value of the gift and Kakashi's thoughtfulness made Koki feel a little overwhelmed.
In the end, Koki gritted her teeth and returned the box to Kakashi.
Kakashi took the bracelet from Koki, his face showing no emotion, but a hint of sadness flashed in his eyes.
He suddenly raised the bracelet as if to throw it away, deliberately adding a hint of anger to his voice, "Since you don't like it, it has no value. I'll just throw it away."
Koki, Koki was startled. He hadn't expected Kakashi to do this. He reached out to stop Kakashi, his voice filled with anxiety. "Wait, Kakashi, don't throw it!"
"If you don't want it, why keep it?" Kakashi's hand froze in mid-air, a sly glint in his eyes. He looked at Koki's anxious expression and chuckled inwardly, but maintained a serious expression on the surface.
"Are you a child?" Koki saw through Kakashi's little trick, but didn't expose him. She sighed, took the bracelet from Kakashi's hand, and gently put it on her wrist.
How come they all seem so mature and composed in public, yet act like children in front of him?
"Alright, alright, Kakashi, I accept." Koki's tone revealed a hint of helplessness, but even more so, a deep gratitude for Kakashi's kind intentions. After all, he shouldn't let down this sincere gift.
Kakashi watched Koki slowly put the bracelet on her wrist. At that moment, the joy in his heart finally broke through his calm, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, revealing a satisfied and gentle smile.
"Alright! Let's continue." Kakashi stood up energetically and extended his hand to Koki.
"Why are you happy again?" Koki asked with a smile, placing his hand in Kakashi's and letting him pull him up.
Kakashi chose to remain silent, quietly enjoying the tranquility of the moment.
"Alright, I'm kidding you. Let's continue. Are you going to teach me Lightning Blade this time?" His smile was like the spring sunshine, warm and radiant.
Kakashi simply responded with a soft "Hmm..."
Koki urged impatiently, "What do you mean by not saying anything? Didn't you say it was Ninjutsu invented for me, and you were going to teach me? Have you forgotten all that?"
"I never said that," Kakashi replied firmly.
Koki exclaimed in frustration, "Damn it!"
The air on the training field seemed to gradually become more lively as the sun rose, and the laughter of the boys echoed in the air.
At the edge of the training field, in that quiet shadow, a silver-haired youth stood silently.
His figure seemed to embrace the darkness, the only thing that shone was his pair of eyes, sharp as swords even in the dim light.
His gaze pierced through the layers of space, focusing on the playful boy in the center of the training field, and a satisfied and gentle smile bloomed on his face.
In the courtyard of the Uchiha Clan Head's house, sunlight filtered through the lush ancient trees, casting dappled shadows across the earth.
Human joys and sorrows are not shared.
While Kakashi and Koki were being all lovey-dovey on the training field, the atmosphere on Shisui and Obito's side was completely different, like dark clouds looming over the city.
Obito sat to the side, his heart pounding like a drum, each beat accompanied by shock at the scene before him.
His gaze was drawn to Shisui as if by a magnet, following his figure closely. The usually calm and composed Shisui was now like a withered leaf caught in a storm on the training field, fluttering wildly.
Shisui's movements were swift and fierce; each swing of his sword carried a resolute force, as if he were engaged in a life-or-death struggle with an invisible enemy.
Sweat soaked his short black hair, sliding down his taut face, but his gaze remained exceptionally firm, without the slightest hint of relaxation.
Obito was horrified; he had never seen Shisui train so relentlessly.
Time passed silently. After an unknown amount of time, Shisui finally stopped what he was doing, sat down next to Obito, and remained silent.
"Shisui, didn't you say you had something to do today?" Obito asked softly, taking advantage of the rare quiet.
"..." Shisui did not answer directly. When Obito brought up the topic, he just silently drank water to recover his strength.
After slowly finishing his water glass, Shisui slowly raised his eyes, his gaze piercing through Obito, and said unhurriedly, "Obito-nii, I remember you also have things to do, right?"
"I... I..." Obito was speechless, unable to answer the question.
Undoubtedly, Obito concealed the truth from Koki, even though nothing particularly noteworthy happened today.
However, the thought of meeting Lin tomorrow filled him with immense anxiety, his mind a jumble of emotions.
He hadn't yet arranged a time with Lin, and couldn't help but sigh, wondering how he would face her tomorrow.
Should he just gloss over it? But there's still a 'letter of commitment' there, and he doesn't want to break his promise in front of Koki.
But it's so annoying, he doesn't want to confess to Lin at all now.
Obito patted his forehead in annoyance, ignoring Shisui beside him, and lay sprawled on the wooden board, gazing at the white clouds in the sky.
"Obito-nii seems to be troubled by the matter of confessing his feelings to Rin," Shisui said with a light laugh.
"Yeah, the main problem is I don't know if I'm still..." Obito suddenly sat up, his eyes wide, staring at Shisui as if he'd seen a ghost, and exclaimed in surprise, "How did you know?!"
The lock on his bedroom drawer flashed through his mind instantly.
Shisui seemed to see through Obito's thoughts. He put his hands on the ground behind him, looked up at the sky, and spoke slowly and deliberately.
"Don't worry, Obito-nii, I don't have a penchant for peeping into other people's rooms. Have you forgotten what happened on our way back last time?"
