Lin Chen entered Heaven Dou Royal Academy as a level thirty-five Soul Elder. After defeating Yu Tianheng, he became class one’s class leader and received a private courtyard with Xiao Wu 23 25.

His defensive and spatial abilities drew Dugu Bo’s attention. After testing him, Dugu Bo publicly acknowledged his strength and compensated him with rare treasures. Lin Chen gave Xiao Wu the Ice Fire Grass and offered an Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid to Ye Lingling 32 34 35.

During a dispute over a Phoenix-tail Crested Serpent, Lin Chen proposed a seven-on-seven student match against Shrek. Heaven Dou won through his suppression and back-line attacks, securing the Soul Ring for Feng Chi 45 50 51.

Arena competition strengthened his reputation. He defeated Zhou Meng and Lü Qing individually, then dismantled four members of the Eight Desolations Battle Team in fewer than ten breaths. Xiao Wu’s Transformation and Cultivation Rebuilding

Lin Chen rebuilt his cultivation with stronger replacement rings, acquired the Void Divine Eye, and tempered his body in the Well. Dugu Bo discovered his second Martial Soul during that tempering. Lin Chen subsequently accepted him as his master and became his only personal disciple 87 92 93 96 97 99.

After obtaining his Fourth Soul Ring, he returned to the academy at level forty-three. To conceal the sacrifice and rebuilding, he attributed his changed Soul Ring quality to Dugu Bo’s secret methods, Immortal Herbs, and bloodline tempering 104 105.

Royal Recognition and the Strength Clan

At a victory banquet, Prince Xue Xing announced the Imperial Fighting Team’s direct entry into the tournament’s main event and royal funding for its expenses. He also presented Lin Chen with a Star Feather Token granting recognition and assistance throughout Heaven Dou 113.

Seeking foundations for his own future forces, Lin Chen approached the Strength Clan through a manufacturing partnership. He supplied Hidden Weapon blueprints and offered materials in exchange for thirty percent of the finished products. Tai Nuo agreed to produce samples before mass production 109 123.

Lin Chen became Tai Long’s sworn brother and challenged Tang San on his behalf at Shrek Academy. When Tang San deployed a Mother-Child Soul-Chasing Life-Taking Orb, Lin Chen enclosed the explosion inside Chaos Shield to protect the spectators, then defeated him with repeated Void Shifts and close-range strikes 127 128 132 133.

After securing apologies for Tai Long and Jiang Zhu, Lin Chen rejected Yu Xiaogang’s accusations of excessive force. He later visited Iron Hammer Valley and taught its smiths the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer 134.

While travelling with Dugu Bo, Xiao Wu, and Dugu Yan, he also intervened in the Ma family’s attempted seizure of an old tailor’s property. He gave the tailor about one hundred Gold Soul Coins and helped him and Chunya escape toward Geli Town before retaliation 146 150.

His long-term ambitions extend beyond personal cultivation to acquiring resources, allies, and an independent foundation 1 16 70 71 105 109.

His confidence does not prevent him from recognizing others’ strengths. After defeating Tang San at Nuoding, he acknowledges that the Tang Sect techniques remain superior to his own technical skill in several respects. He also expects Tang San and Yu Xiaogang to adapt after losing rather than treating earlier victories as guarantees 16 51.

He is affectionate and highly protective toward Xiao Wu, willing to risk his life to remove the danger posed by her Soul Beast identity. His loyalty also extends to Old Jack, Holy Soul Village, and his sworn brother Tai Long 19 79 82 128.
