Romantic Battlefield Free-for-All (3)
"Her secretary, she's my secretary!"
Kexi quickly seized the opportunity to clarify their relationship before the misunderstanding deepened.
"You're not the kind of secretary who does all the work when there's nothing to do, are you?" Lynae stared at him, her tone full of sarcasm.
"How could that be?! Do you think I'm that kind of person?!"
Kexi's rebuttal was righteous and forceful.
But to be honest, he had actually had that thought in his mind.
After all, who could resist such a beauty as Selina without resorting to underhanded tactics?
He even considered cosplaying as Selena Selina. "Your family's debts are hard to pay off, so you don't want to lose this job, right?"
Lynae's words made Selina blush instantly.
She raised her head, gazing tenderly at Kexi, her voice soft. "If young master wishes, it's not that..."
Kexi was dumbfounded. Things were already chaotic enough, and now, Selina, what were you doing? Was this the time to say something like that?
Cough cough.
This kind of thing is best discussed in private. Can't you be more mindful of the occasion?
"Hey, hey, hey! Selina, don't make things worse!!"
Kexi quickly spoke up to stop her, to prevent the fire he had so painstakingly extinguished from reigniting.
Upon hearing Selina's soft voice, everyone simultaneously exclaimed "Oh!"
"So it really is that kind of relationship."
"No, she's just a regular secretary, really! You have to believe me, believe me!" Kexi explained anxiously, even calling out to Selina, "Selina, say something!"
Selina stammered.
"Um, what you say is true, young master. I'm just a regular secretary right now."
Lynae immediately picked up on the wording. "Just now? So that means it won't be like this in the future?"
"The same goes for the future!!!" Kexi's voice immediately grew louder, as if to prove her determination, without any regard for Selina's feelings.
Everyone looked at him with suspicion.
Selina stood to the side, her blush still fresh, and she didn't say anything.
"What's going on between you and Suisui?" Jinhsi asked.
"That... misunderstanding, misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding..." Kexi explained in a panic.
"It's not a misunderstanding."
Suisui spoke.
She stood on the periphery of the crowd, arms crossed, her expression indifferent, but a sly glint flashed in her eyes.
It's true.
"He and I are exactly as you think."
Kexi's pupils suddenly contracted.
He turned to look at Suisui, his eyes filled with disbelief.
No, sis, are you kidding me?
Suisui met his gaze, a very slight smile curving her lips.
The curve of that arc seemed to scream "You deserve it."
He seduced so many women, and not only did he seduce her, but he also seduced Yangyang.
She added fuel to the fire, letting him be hacked to death by these women, ending it all so that Yangyang could return to normal.
She's so smart.
Instantly, everyone was enraged.
"How do you explain this?!" Augusta took a step forward.
"Um... I..."
"What do you mean, 'you'?!" Juno jumped up. "You told me yesterday you'd choose me, and now there's this Suisui?!"
"I... I didn't say that... I clearly said I'd tell you next time."
"I won't listen! I won't listen!"
Kexi was covered in sweat and hadn't finished dealing with the current mess of relationships.
Just then, another voice came from afar.
"Kexi, who do you choose?"
Changli and Cantarella walked in from outside the crowd.
Changli's gaze swept across Kexi's face, then over the girls surrounding him, before finally settling back on him.
Cantarella followed beside her, looking on with an expression of anticipation.
Kexi's throat bobbed.
Changli arrived, Cantarella has arrived too.
With all that's happening here, he felt like he might just walk out here in style today.
"Teacher Changli..." Jinhsi saw Changli and subconsciously took half a step back. Her gaze swept between Changli and Kexi, and her lips tightened.
Kexi's words from yesterday were still echoing in her mind.
He said he didn't mind her Changli...
Changli did not look at Jinhsi.
Her gaze was fixed on Kexi's face, her voice not loud, but every word was cold. "You didn't say this to me the day before yesterday at Porto-Vino Castle."
What did I say the day before yesterday?!
"You said you needed time," Changli said calmly. "I'm here today for an answer."
"Yes, I want the answer too," Cantarella added from the side.
Juno, always eager for drama, turned to Changli and Cantarella to complain, "Did you know that it was just revealed that he's already married?"
Changli's brow twitched slightly.
Cantarella chuckled, unable to contain herself. "Oh? It's so lively."
"No, I'm not married!" Kexi frantically winked at Yangyang, "Yangyang, come here and explain yourself! When did I marry your sister?!"
Yangyang, held back by Sanhua, tilted her head and thought for a moment, then innocently asked, "No? But you kissed my sister, so aren't we family?"
"What?!?" The crowd gasped in surprise again.
"You kissed her?!" Lynae and Sigrika exclaimed the loudest.
Suisui stood to the side, arms crossed, a half-smile on her face.
She was overjoyed.
Let that bastard go around hooking up with women everywhere, now look what happened, he's been screwed.
She decided to add fuel to the fire.
"Kexi," Suisui's voice wasn't loud, but just loud enough for everyone to hear, "You didn't say that when you were hugging someone in my room yesterday."
The air froze completely.
"What did you say to her while you were hugging her in her room yesterday?" Juno was the first to explode.
"What?! Your room?! When have I ever been to your room?!" Kexi was going crazy.
You said you liked me the most.
Without batting an eye, Suisui began spreading rumors.
You say those vulgar beauties outside are like scattered stars, how can they compare to my bright moon?
"I don't--"
"That's enough." Jinhsi's voice rang out, and she took a step forward.
Her gaze shifted from Kexi's face to Changli, her voice trembling slightly, but she desperately wanted to know the answer.
"Teacher Changli, you and him..."
Changli turned his head and met Jinhsi's eyes.
The master and apprentice looked at each other across the crowd, neither of them speaking first.
It felt like something in the air had reached its limit.
"Jinhsi," Changli, his voice softer than before, "I'll explain this to you later."
"No need to look back." Jinhsi shook her head, her eyes reddening. "I just want to know now."
Cantarella's gaze shifted between the master and apprentice.
She came here just to see a show, but she never expected it to be even more spectacular than she imagined.
She decided to stir things up even more.
"Your master was at my place the Magistrate Jin night. She heard him arrive and listened from behind my door for quite a while," Cantarella said with a smile. "Guess what she heard?"
Changli's expression finally changed.
"Cantarella." Her voice carried a warning.
"What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?" Cantarella blinked innocently. "I still remember what you said to me that night. You said you couldn't let him go, you said you wanted to see him but were also afraid to see him, you said that in all your years, this was the first time you'd felt so insecure."
Jinhsi's pupils contracted slightly.
She looked at Changli, her lips slightly parted, as if she were seeing this person for the first time.
Kexi watched as the scene before her shifted from "punishing the scumbag" to "master and disciple confrontation," and her mind went blank.
With so many powder kegs around, even though Selina was nearby, she couldn't possibly stop them all by herself.
Fortunately, he cleverly created the Pleiades, but...
Damn it, Luna! Where are you guys?!
"Kexi." Changli finally turned her gaze away from Jinhsi and back to his face. "I'm asking you one last time. Who do you choose?"
Kexi just wanted to say, what kind of choice is this?! Is this even a human being's choice?
"Teacher Changli, I only have one question to ask: are you really not bothered?"
