Then, Carlotta clapped her hands.

"Your next opponent is it."

An Hetero Armament crashed down from mid-air, and the debris it kicked up hit Kexi's face.

This thing is over three meters tall and its entire body is made of alloy armor.

Kexi looked up at the steel behemoth, his Adam's apple bobbing.

Overlord Class.

The second sister directly transferred a Overlord Class Hetero Armament from the warehouse.

This level of equipment is usually only activated when the family encounters an invasion by an external enemy. The last time it was used was reportedly three years ago when a group of Tacet Discord broke through the outer defenses of the vault and were chased and crushed for a full three kilometers by this Hetero Armament.

"Second sister, what I'm saying is, can we take it easy for now?" Before Kexi could even smile, Carlotta had already blocked his way out with a single sentence.

"Today, you either beat it or it beats you." She crossed her arms, her tone nonchalant.

Kexi tried to argue a bit more. "Um, I meant let me become stronger first --"

"Wait? Will the enemy wait for you? Will Christopher wait for you? Will those who died before your eyes wait for you?"

Carlotta took a step forward, looked up and stared directly into his eyes; every word she uttered pierced the softest spot in his heart.

"Now is the time for you to become stronger. How can you become stronger quickly without going through hellish training? Don't you want to crush Christopher under your feet the next time you see him?"

Kexi was stunned. He recalled the senior sisters in the script world who died one by one before his eyes. He clenched his fists, and the veins bulged.

"It's just a mere Raging Overlord Class Echo? I Kexi, am fearless! Watch how I annihilate it!"

That's more like it.

Carlotta raised an eyebrow, took two steps back, and made room for him.

Selina put down her terminal and watched the young master spouting nonsense with great interest.

However.

A minute passed.

Kexi stood still, arms crossed, staring blankly at it.

He and the Hetero Armament stood facing each other from a distance of ten meters, neither of them making the first move.

The wind blew across the training field, swirling up a few withered leaves that rolled past his feet.

Carlotta frowned. "What are you daydreaming about? Didn't you say you were going to kill it instantly?"

Kexi didn't turn her head, her tone serious. "I'm stacking up Intimidating Gaze. Once I'm fully stacked, I can take it down in one move."

The silence lasted for about two seconds.

Carlotta jumped up and kicked him in the butt.

"Screw your intimidating gaze! You're just a maggot, you think you can take it down in seconds?!"

Kexi was kicked and staggered forward several steps, falling directly into the attack range of the arena.

The Hetero Armament's eye sensor instantly lit up red, and the mechanical arm slammed down towards his face with a whooshing sound.

Before Kexi could think, the Resonance Power within her body reflexively exploded, golden energy waves erupted from her feet, her hair instantly turned a brilliant gold, and she was like a lit cannonball, head-on meeting the fist of the Hetero Armament.

Three punches.

He threw three punches, each one harder than the last.

The Hetero Armament remained completely still.

Its robotic arm didn't even leave a dent, but Kexi's finger bones were throbbing with pain, and her entire arm was numb.

Then the Hetero Armament retaliated.

A sweeping blow forced Kexi to dodge to the side, followed by a downward slam that created a crater two meters in diameter in the ground.

Kexi scrambled to avoid it, her golden hair leaving a trail of afterimages as she ran.

"Second Sister! Help!"

His shouts echoed across the training field.

"The Sai! Help me!"

Selina took out her violin and began to play gracefully, and a light and cheerful background music filled the training ground.

(This can be roughly summarized as: Good luck! Best of luck!)

She didn't intend to intervene; she simply added background music to the chase scene.

Carlotta stood there, watching as Kexi was chased by the Hetero Armament from the east end of the field to the west end, from the west end to the south end, and then from the south end back to the north end.

She slowly closed her eyes, rubbed her temples, and let out a sigh that came from the depths of her soul.

"Waste."

The Hetero Armament delivered a heavy blow to Kexi, sending him flying in an arc before he landed precisely at the edge of the arena. He landed face down, kicking up a cloud of sand.

A hand was extended in front of him. It was fair, long, and the nails were neatly trimmed.

Kexi propped herself up on the ground and looked up along the hand, meeting a smiling face.

He paused for a moment, feeling like he'd seen that face somewhere before, but his mind was still buzzing from the Hetero Armament, and he couldn't recall the corresponding name right away.

"Hey, you are...?"

"Tsubaki."

With Chun's help, Kexi stood up, dusted herself off, and chuckled dryly, "Haha, it's you. Thank you for saving us that day."

"I just hate it when people touch my things." Chun withdrew her hand, her tone flat, but her gaze was like that of someone looking at prey.

Kexi's smile froze on her face. Why did that sound so familiar? Cantarella had said something similar last time.

He tentatively pressed, "Ah, things? What things?"

Chun didn't speak, but took an envelope out of her pocket.

The sealing wax had been removed. She pulled out the letter, unfolded it in front of him, and her voice carried a faint, almost imperceptible laugh:

"You wrote this letter, didn't you?"

Kexi's face turned pale instantly.

That was a long letter he had written to Chun not long ago to complete a system task. It was two thousand words long and contained some rough and unrestrained remarks.

Compared to the letters I had written to her before, that letter was much more restrained.

He never imagined that one day the recipient would confront him with the letter when he wrote it.

After all, the other party doesn't know who he is, which is different from just talking nonsense online.

"W-how... how did you know it was mine?"

"Buling used some tricks to help me find you." Chun folded the letter and put it back in her bosom. "Otherwise, how do you think we ended up in that place that day?"

"Really? Thank you so much. If it weren't for you, I would have died there. By the way, where did she go?" Kexi's voice was unusually sincere. This was the truth. Without them, he would have been killed by Christopher.

"She went to Septimont. Yes, it's all thanks to you for keeping your identity a secret." Chun's lips curled up slightly, a smile that sent chills down Kexi's spine. "Otherwise, I, with my impatient nature, might not have been able to save you so conveniently."

Kexi's back started to sweat.

Here it comes, she casually steered the conversation back on track, catching him completely off guard.

Chun took half a step forward and looked up into his eyes. Although she was only up to his chest, the way she looked up at him made Kexi feel like he was being looked down upon.

"So, you who's been hiding your true identity, can you tell me why you've been sending me love letters and asking me out, yet you've never revealed your true identity?"

Kexi was drenched in sweat.

What could he say? That the system forced him to write it? That he'd been ordered by some lousy system to write love letters to every woman in Solaris since he was five?

To say that all those cheesy and perverted things he said to her were just tasks assigned by the damn system and had absolutely nothing to do with his true feelings? If he really dared to say that, Chun would surely let him experience what it means to be a "one-day flower" on the spot.

He's just a piece of trash who can't even defeat Hetero Armament, can he withstand it? Absolutely not.

"Ah, this, that..."

"It seems you have some unspeakable trouble." Seeing his stammering, Chun's smile deepened, her tone carrying an almost amused amusement. "We should find a good place and have a proper, in-depth discussion. Don't you think so?"

"Ah, um, let's not, I think this place is fine."

Kexi's forehead began to sweat. He desperately tried to signal to Carlotta with his eyes.

That look, translated, means: Second sister, help! This woman is going to eat me alive! Say something!

But Carlotta just rolled her eyes at him.

The eye roll was executed flawlessly, conveying a clear message: Serves you right. You reap what you sow.

Then she turned and left, completely disregarding whether he lived or died.

Kexi cursed that little potato a thousand times in her heart.

Chun suddenly grabbed his arm, not with much force, but it gripped his joint as precisely as an iron hoop.

Kexi felt like a rabbit being gripped by the scruff of its neck by an eagle.

"The scenery here isn't elegant enough. After writing me love letters for so many years, you can't possibly be completely clueless about romance, can you? Come on, follow me."

A figure blocked Chun's path.

Selina's long, dark blue hair fluttered slightly in the wind, and the bow she used to play her violin transformed into a sword, which she held in her hand, pointing directly at Chun.

She wore a standard professional smile, but there was no hint of a smile in her eyes.

"Excuse me, Miss Chun, although you saved Young Master Kexi, you cannot simply take him away."

"Well done, the Sai!"

Kexi thought to herself, "Wow, that's beautiful!" She was determined to get Carlotta to give her a raise.
