Startled by the shout, Kexi quickly pulled her crossed legs back into the blankets, her smug expression instantly transforming into one of docility.

But no matter how fast she switched, she couldn't outrun Carlotta's eyes.

She glanced at Selina and then at Kexi's still arrogant face, and immediately realized that the words "Keep playing the music and keep dancing" she had heard outside the door were not a hallucination.

"Second sister, let me explain—" Kexi raised her hands.

"Explain what?" Carlotta strode in and slammed her hand on the bedside table. "I gave you a secretary so you'd have someone to take care of and protect you, not so you could be an emperor here!"

She turned and glared at Selina, Selina stood ramrod straight, clutching her violin. Her expression could be summed up in four words: "None of my business."

Kexi quickly changed the subject. "Second Sister, you've come at the perfect time. I was just telling Saisai that she's so capable, it's a waste of her talent to be with me—"

Selina couldn't quite keep her composure after hearing his shameless words.

"You were clearly talking about black stockings and a bodycon skirt." Carlotta knew exactly what this kid was thinking.

Kexi's smile froze.

Selina added quietly from the side, "They also said to keep playing music and dancing."

"They gave my man a new codename: The Sai."

Carlotta crossed her arms, looked down at Kexi curled up in a ball on the bed, and a smile curled at the corner of her mouth that sent chills down Kexi's spine.

"He was unconscious for two days, but he started causing trouble as soon as he woke up. Looks like he's recovering well. Let's begin training now."

"Second sister! My injury hasn't healed yet!"

"How can you flirt with your secretary when you're still injured?"

"That wasn't flirting, it was just normal workplace dress advice--"

"Selina," Carlotta said without turning her head, "Starting tomorrow, you'll oversee his training. If he slacks off, just use electricity."

Selina's eyes lit up, but her professionalism kept her expression calm, and she simply nodded slightly. "Understood, Miss."

Kexi glanced at Carlotta, then at Selina, and realized that the two women had silently formed a kind of sacred alliance against him.

He fell backward, pulled the blanket over his head, and let out a mournful groan.

I think I'll go back to Christopher.

Carlotta yanked off his blanket and leaned down to stare into his eyes.

The anger on her small face hadn't completely subsided, but her voice suddenly lowered, carrying a hint of barely perceptible seriousness. "Don't say things like that. I'll find out who put you in the script world. Montelli won't let anyone who touches our family get away with it."

Looking at Carlotta's face so close to hers, Kexi suddenly remembered how she had been left behind in the script world.

He was silent for a moment, then nodded.

"Young man, do you crave power?"

Carlotta's voice suddenly changed, and she stared intently at him.

Kexi stared at her warily. "Second sister, why are you looking at me like that?"

"Who was it yesterday who said they'd personally kill that bastard Christopher?"

Carlotta crossed her arms, looking down at him with a look of utter disappointment on her face—a look that was incredibly hurtful.

Is that all the ambition you've got?

Kexi was speechless.

He remembered Jinxi's bright smile before Jinhsi disappeared, Qiuyuan's dying plea, and the helpless anger he felt when he knelt on the ground and pounded the floor.

His expression changed, from evasive to serious, and from serious to clenched teeth.

"Yes! That's right! I'm going to kill that bastard Christopher! Not only that, I'm going to dismantle the Fractsidus too! Birds of a feather flock together, those bastards are no good either, I'll kill them all on sight!"

"Really? It seems you're in dire need of power?" Carlotta's lips curled into a slight smile.

"Mmm." Kexi nodded vigorously, a newly ignited fire burning in her eyes.

"Then—the special training begins!"

"Wait, Second Sister, um... my injury hasn't healed yet?" Kexi extinguished his own fire before it could burn brightly. He shrank back into the blankets, revealing a bargaining smile.

Carlotta's smile vanished instantly, replaced by a disappointed expression of "I knew it": "Is that all you've got? Useless. You can't even handle the hardship of training. From now on, you'll just hide behind Selina and let her protect you for the rest of your life."

"What?!" Kexi threw off the covers and sat up abruptly, veins throbbing on her forehead. "Who do you think you are? Who wants to hide behind her? Come on then!"

"Good, that's got guts. No wonder you're from Montelli." Carlotta nodded in satisfaction, turned and walked towards the door. As she passed Selina, she whispered an order to her to bring the thing over.

Selina paused for a moment, then gave a knowing look, nodding slightly, "Understood."

Training ground.

"Yay!!!"

Kexi was running frantically, as if some raging beast was chasing him.

He ran forward frantically while shouting back.

"Second sister! You'll kill someone if you play like that!"

Carlotta's voice drifted from behind him.

"Didn't you say you wanted to kill Christopher with your own hands? If you can't even overcome this fear, how can you be his match?"

"But you can't go this far right from the start!!!"

Kexi ran forward as fast as she could, her legs swinging wildly, afraid that if she slowed down even a little, she would lose her life.

Selina sat by the training field, covering her mouth and giggling, and casually recorded a video, planning to share it with Zani later.

Carlotta was unaware that Selina was reposting her atrocities.

Her voice remained clear and powerful even amidst the roar:

"Don't be afraid, Kexi! You must face your fears!"

Then, Carlotta gripped the steering wheel tightly, a smirk playing on her lips, and yelled at Kexi:

"Don't run! Charge towards the jeep!"

She jerked the steering wheel, and the Jeep swerved in an arc to get directly in front of Kexi, then came to a stop, its front end facing him.

Kexi's pupils dilated in shock, and a flashback of her life instantly filled her mind.

He wrote his first love letter at five, was hung up and beaten by Cantarella at twelve, was tortured to death by Christopher in the script world a few days ago, and now he's about to be run over by Carlotta in a jeep.

"I'll die! I'll really die!"

"You won't die! I believe you!" Carlotta's voice floated out of the car window, her tone light and cheerful, before she stepped on the gas.

The jeep roared toward him.

Kexi's legs were trembling, and the voice in his head was screaming at him to run.

But he knew he couldn't outrun them; two legs can't outrun four wheels. That's a law of physics, not something willpower can solve.

His eyes swept to both sides, his brain racing, and then he suddenly lunged to the side, rolling several times on the ground, the jeep's tires grazing and running over his clothes.

"Not bad, your reaction time is a second faster than last time."

Carlotta leaned out of the car window, nodded approvingly, and then turned the steering wheel back.

"Again."

"Again?!" Kexi got up from the ground, covered in dirt and panting heavily.

"Otherwise what? Do you think Christopher would just hit you once and run away?"

Carlotta's voice turned cold, "No one gives you a break on the battlefield."

Kexi gritted her teeth, staring at the jeep that had turned around again, sweat dripping from her forehead onto the sandy training ground.

He remembered the mocking eyes beneath Christopher's mask, the radiant smile Jinhsi had before vanishing, and the helplessness he felt as he knelt on the ground, pounding his fists on the floor.

He took a deep breath and steadied himself.

"Come on!" he roared, this time not running away, but staring intently at the jeep charging towards him.

When the front of the car was less than two meters away from him, his body reacted before his brain did.

The Resonance Power burst forth instantly, and the energy within his body, like ignited gunpowder, propelled him to the side and upward.

A jeep roared past beneath his feet.

Selina put down her terminal and clapped twice. "Young master, that's awesome!"

Kexi landed, her legs trembling like leaves, but she still forced a cool pose and said arrogantly, "Of course! Don't you know who I am?"

Carlotta stopped the car, leaned out of the window, and finally a genuine smile appeared on her lips.

This is just the beginning.
