I Said "Crushing Everything in Our Path," You Erdolong?!
Two o'clock in the afternoon.
Xiao Ling arrived at the mall he had visited with Dania last time, but this time was different: he had brought five beautiful girls from a game world with him.
"Oh my gosh... there's a mall this big?!" Lynae pattered into the mall, staring in shock at the ceiling that seemed to stretch on forever.
Aside from Dania, who acted perfectly normal, the other four girls had clearly never seen anything on this scale before. Each of them showed her astonishment in her own way.
"Amazing... was this really built brick by brick?!" Sigrika shaded her eyes with a hand and looked around in wonder. As far as she remembered, even with the smart manufacturing cubes invented by the Deep Sky Collective, building a mall this large would have been a major undertaking.
(Giving the girls from Solaris a little taste of the infrastructure maniac's might.jpg)
"A mall this big must have so many things for sale!" Aemeath looked especially excited. Her finances hadn't allowed it before, so she'd never considered visiting a place where it was easy to overspend. Now she had a little stash of her own!
"Of course, Little Ai. If you can think of something, they can get it. There are only things you can't imagine." As a local, Xiao Ling knew the mall inside and out.
Although e-commerce was highly developed these days, there were always things it couldn't do. After several expansions, the mall had become one of the places young people in the city frequently visited and checked in at.
The pretty girls beside Xiao Ling were already itching to get going. With their queen mother's help, each of them now had money of her own to spend, so naturally they wanted to buy things they liked.
But before that, something else caught their attention.
"Senior, um... I think I just saw myself?" Chisa was the first to speak. Her sharp eyes had spotted a girl not far away whose figure, seen from behind, looked remarkably like her own.
"You're right! I think I saw myself too?!" Sigrika followed Chisa's gaze and spotted someone who looked a lot like her from behind.
Only then did Xiao Ling look where the two girls were looking, and he immediately understood what was happening.
"We came at just the right time. They're holding a small comic convention here, and the people you just saw are cosplayers. They're dressed up as you."
"Why would they dress up as us?" Sigrika leaned closer, looking at Xiao Ling with big, adorable eyes full of curiosity. Her elven ears swayed back and forth.
"Isn't it normal for fans to dress up as their favorite idols?" Aemeath explained with a smile.
"I know everyone at school likes me, but being treated like an idol..." Sigrika scratched her head, looking like she still had trouble accepting the idea that she was an idol.
"Our Xixi is a future Sixth Seat of the Secret Sun, and she's an amazing top student at school too. Wasn't it thanks to you that the crisis on the Dark Side was resolved?" Xiao Ling used concrete facts to explain why people in this world admired her. "Nobody could dislike a gentle, brave, kind, and especially cute girl."
"That's true, but your encouragement was really important to me too, Senior. If you hadn't helped me see things clearly, I might never have found the courage to face my other self on the Dark Side! And in the end, it was because we fought side by side there that everything was resolved!" Sigrika agreed with Xiao Ling while emphasizing the part he had played in the crisis.
Hearing Sigrika express her gratitude so earnestly, Dania froze for just a moment before a gentle, relieved smile appeared on her face.
"So, does our future Sixth Seat of the Secret Sun want to hold a little fan meeting?" Dania walked over to Sigrika, smiling with her eyes half closed.
"Um, wait... wait a second, I need to get rea-eek, eek, eek, Yaya~"
Dania never played by the rules. Whenever Sigrika tried to stall for time, she acted first and explained later.
"Hey, how could you leave me out of the fun?!" Lynae protested, a little displeased, but soon broke into a cheerful smile again. "I'm going on ahead, then. Hurry up and follow!"
With that, Lynae raced into the center of the convention right behind Dania and Sigrika.
"Oh, honestly. Weren't we here to shop till we dropped...?" Xiao Ling watched the three of them rush in, helplessness and a hint of fondness in his gaze.
"What's wrong with this? It's still early anyway~" Aemeath naturally took Xiao Ling's hand and winked at Chisa on his other side. "Right, Chisa?"
"Mm... I'd like to meet that fan too." Chisa also wanted to take part in this unexpected activity.
"You girls..." Xiao Ling sighed in resignation. "The minority follows the majority. We'll do it your way."
As expected, Sigrika and Dania's sudden arrival caused quite a stir at the convention.
It was like spotting a phoenix among a flock of pheasants. Your first reaction would be shock that the legendary phoenix actually existed!
The instant the cosplayer dressed as Sigrika saw the real thing appear, she was so excited she could barely speak and nearly burst into tears and snot. Fortunately, Sigrika was quite good at comforting people and managed to calm her down.
The two then happily took a photo together. The cosplayer thanked her over and over until Sigrika grew a little embarrassed.
Lynae, meanwhile, ran all over the place, just like her free-spirited personality. She cheerfully posed for photos with fans who liked her, grinning almost from ear to ear. It looked like she quite enjoyed being an idol?
Chisa seemed much quieter. After taking a photo with the cosplayer dressed as her, she chatted with her and discovered that the other girl was quite skilled at cooking. The two found a corner where they were unlikely to be disturbed and began exchanging cooking tips... hey, wasn't discussing cooking at a comic convention getting things a little mixed up?!
Now, let's switch to Little Ai's perspective.
Unfortunately, she couldn't find a cosplayer dressed as her, but she did find two female cosplayers whose appearances were very similar to hers.
And so, three pink-haired girls from different games came together in this marvelous way.
"You look just like Little Ai!" The Phrolova cosplayer was generous with her praise.
"That feeling, there's no mistaking it!" The Elysia cosplayer was even more excited. "You're practically Little Ai herself!"
"Ahaha~ That's a bit of an exaggeration~" Aemeath was surprisingly modest at this point.
"Can you sing, then? You know, Starward's Farewell!" the Phrolova cosplayer asked eagerly.
"Why do you have to perform Starward's Farewell?!" the Elysia cosplayer protested. "I would've gotten over it ages ago if it weren't for you people! How about singing Little Miracle instead?"
"All right, I'll sing both, both of them." Aemeath waved a hand, signaling for them to stop arguing. "But don't blame me if I don't sound good~"
The two cosplayers solemnly assured Little Ai that they wouldn't blame her if she sang poorly.
"Then I'll start now~"
Aemeath cleared her throat lightly and began her solo performance.
"That snowflake once fell on my nose. Now flying backwards to last winter."
In an instant, the gathering of anime and game fans turned into Little Ai's personal concert. Everyone put aside what they were doing and came over to support this god-tier cosplayer who had perfectly recreated both her appearance and her singing voice.
A song could convey emotion and take people back to unforgettable moments from the past. For them, Aemeath's resolute sacrifice was naturally a part of the story that brought tears to their eyes.
But when Little Ai began singing Little Miracle, everyone naturally broke into joyful smiles. After all, it was a song expressing Little Ai's joy, and they even began cheering for Aemeath of their own accord.
"Every light I'm giving all comes back to you. Comes back to you."
With the final lyric, the little concert came to an end.
Everyone cheered as loudly as they could for this godlike cosplayer who had descended from the heavens, and Aemeath gave two slight bows to thank them for their support.
The little interlude soon passed, and Aemeath was quickly surrounded by a large crowd of fans asking for autographs and photos.
"Boo-hoo-hoo... I never thought I'd get to hear Wooly herself sing in person." Sigrika was so moved that she cried after the impromptu concert ended.
The Sigrika cosplayer wiped away her own tears with a tissue while offering one to Sigrika.
Hajiling was naturally filled with emotion too. After finishing the story back then, he hadn't dared listen to either song, afraid he'd fall into another late-night spiral of online gloom. Of course, he had come to terms with it now. Seeing Aemeath surrounded by fans at the convention was like seeing her surrounded by members of the music club asking for autographs after her performance at Star Torch Academy.
But it looked like something fucking strange had slipped into the crowd of fans?!
Xiao Ling looked closely and saw a big, bulky figure walk over to Little Ai, apparently wanting a photo with her.
That familiar oppressive aura, that imposing stance, and those familiar twin nightmare capsules.
"Holy shit, the Calamity King!"
(I said "crushing everything in our path," you Erdolong?!)
Aemeath was startled the moment she saw the Calamity King too, but since they were at a convention, she immediately realized that the big figure in front of her was also a cosplayer, just in a different form.
"Would you like a photo together?" Aemeath invited him with the enthusiasm unique to her as an idol.
The Calamity King said nothing and simply assumed the starting stance for a Rider Kick.
Seeing how imposing he looked, Aemeath summoned her signature weapon and struck a fighting pose beside him... wait, where did you conjure that weapon from?!
With a click, the scene was captured. The Calamity King took the freshly made photo and left. Though Xiao Ling couldn't see his expression, he thought the Calamity King was probably quite satisfied with the result.
Dania wasn't doing well.
Everyone else had found something to do, leaving her alone with nothing to occupy herself.
Not only that, but a strange person seemed to be pestering her.
"Hello, cosplayer! These are freebies specially prepared for the convention. Please accept one!"
The tall, thin man with glasses and a shoulder bag had already given the things he called freebies to several cosplayers present. They were actually just candy, and Dania didn't know why he had suddenly approached her.
But Ling had seriously warned them on WeChat that they could pose for photos and sign autographs, but they must not accept things from strangers.
The man in front of her clearly fell into the category of a stranger, so...
"No, thank you. I'm not hungry, and I don't like candy anyway," Dania declined lazily and politely. "It causes cavities."
"It's just a small token. Even if you don't like it yourself, you could take it home for your younger siblings~"
"I don't want to repeat myself." Dania made no effort to be pleasant and waved her hand dismissively. "It doesn't look easy for you either, so if there's nothing else, don't bother me. That way you won't have the door shut in your face."
Dania yawned and walked away, completely unaware of the sinister glint that flashed in the bespectacled man's eyes behind her.
"Come on, don't be so stingy~ Look, everyone who got a freebie is happy. Isn't refusing outright a little ungrateful?"
The bespectacled man spoke just loudly enough for everyone to hear. The scattered crowd turned their attention to them because of his accusatory words.
What a nasty trick, Dania thought through gritted teeth. He was trying to put her on the spot...
The people around her stared and whispered, making her feel the malice of this world for the first time.
Forget it. It's not like this is the first time. Dania was long accustomed to such malice, and she knew how to strike back in her own way.
Not far away, Aemeath's expression darkened. This guy was bullying her Thunder Wooly? Did he want a taste of a Tacet Discord's greatsword?
Chisa said nothing and quietly took out her phone to record a video. Seeing this, the female cosplayer beside her also began recording evidence.
Sigrika was extremely worried about Dania and nearly rushed over to help several times, but she was also afraid she would mess things up. All she could do was fret helplessly from the sidelines, tears welling in her eyes.
And so, at this critical moment, the blond athlete stepped in.
"Hey, mister." Lynae put an arm around Dania's shoulders without another word and flashed a carefree, harmless smile. "Of course we appreciate you giving us little gifts! But we really are concerned about whether they're safe. As the organizers, you should be responsible for the safety of the freebies too, right?"
"Of course they're safe, otherwise I wouldn't-"
"Eat it."
"What?" The bespectacled man froze.
"Was I not clear enough? I said eat it!" Lynae's smile vanished, replaced by another demeanor-the one she had worn while surviving as a mercenary in the New Federation, cold as a loaded pistol.
"I... uh..."
"What? You don't dare? Fine! I'll help you!"
Lynae rushed forward with lightning speed, snatched the candy from the bespectacled man's hand, and, before he could react, tore off the wrapper and slapped it into his mouth.
The force of Lynae's blow shattered the candy. The bespectacled man swallowed broken teeth along with tiny razor blades, which also sliced his tongue. Blood spilled from the corners of his mouth.
The cosplayers who had received freebies turned pale with shock. Some immediately threw away their candy, while others put it away as physical evidence.
"Well? What flavor is it? Sweet, or bloody and salty?" Lynae asked, looking down at him. The bespectacled man now knew far better than she did what that piece of candy tasted like.
"Heh... heh heh..." The bespectacled man gave a couple of bitter laughs, his face gradually twisting with extreme rage.
He suddenly pulled a fruit knife from his shoulder bag and stabbed straight at Lynae.
They were too close for her to catch the blade barehanded, so Lynae chose the safest option-dodging.
But Lynae wasn't his target!
Dania watched the sharp fruit knife hurtle toward her and instinctively tried to use her Resonance ability to block it. But nothing happened, and her expression instantly turned to one of utter terror.
If this had been Solaris, she could easily have used her power to teach this blind fool a painful lesson.
But this was the real world. She couldn't even use the most basic Resonance ability, let alone block this malicious attack!
The crowd immediately began shoving and fleeing in panic. Even though they knew they weren't his target, the cosplayer dressed as Chisa struggled to keep filming evidence of the attack as the crowd jostled her.
And at this critical moment, others ran against the fleeing crowd toward Dania.
"What a lunatic!" Aemeath's eyes blazed with barely contained fury, her killing intent almost taking physical form. If she really couldn't make it in time, she wouldn't mind firing off a Little Ai version of the Flying Blood Pact.
Lynae had no time for regret. She immediately sprinted after the knife-wielding madman, trying to stop him, and even showed faint signs of forcibly using her Resonance Power.
Chisa no longer had time to record evidence either. She raced through the packed crowd, trying to save Dania from danger.
Sigrika ran desperately toward Dania, tears scattering behind her like pearls as she ran.
But the true god of death, bearing wrath like rolling thunder, sounded a death knell for the man carrying out the attack.
"Fuck your mother! You dare lay a hand on my wife?! Die!"
When Dania was at her most helpless and afraid, Xiao Ling viciously launched a flying kick that sent the man about to attack her flying.
Xiao Ling could be an obedient big puppy, or Hajiling, the lowest-ranking member of the family. Of course, he could also be Lao Ling, who had to earn every penny himself just to top up his game.
But when the person he loved most faced a life-or-death crisis, he would personally sound the death knell for the fool who didn't know what was good for him!
The bespectacled man felt the sensation of cracking bones spread through his entire body along his nerves, his pain receptors sounding a frantic alarm. The flying kick had also knocked the knife from his hand, sending it several meters away.
The danger had passed, and Dania was finally safe. Tears flowed unconsciously as she survived the ordeal.
Her legs immediately gave out and she began to fall to her knees. Sigrika was the first to rush over and catch her, then threw herself into her arms and bawled.
Lynae stood nearby with a dreadful expression. As she silently blamed herself, she stood beside Dania with an even colder look, like a sword-bearing guard.
Chisa gently patted Dania on the back, repeatedly reassuring her that it was all right and she was safe now.
"Aemeath, call the police. Keep a close eye on that fruit knife, but don't touch it. It's evidence to convict this guy. If your fingerprints get on it, we'll have a hard time explaining."
After giving those instructions, Xiao Ling prepared to continue beating the man who had tried to hurt Dania.
Aemeath gave him a silent look of assent and immediately did as Xiao Ling had asked.
The bespectacled man had barely staggered to his feet when Xiao Ling grabbed him by the collar and hit him hard twice more, smashing his glasses.
Perhaps he had used too much force, because Xiao Ling's third punch sent the bespectacled man flying, knocking him right out of the surrounding crowd.
The bespectacled man was overjoyed to see that his opponent had accidentally knocked him out of the encirclement. He was limping toward the mall entrance, ready to flee, when he ran straight into a huge figure.
He looked up. Oh my god, it's the Calamity King. We're doomed.
The Calamity King was kindhearted and couldn't bear to see him suffer, so he merely grabbed him by the collar and shattered his hopes of fleeing the scene with two punches.
(The cunning nightmare actually disguised itself as one of my kind.jpg)
The punches left the bespectacled man dazed and reeling, barely able to remain standing.
Xiao Ling caught up and patted the Calamity King on the shoulder in thanks, then raised his fist and offered him a fist bump.
The Calamity King solemnly returned the fist bump. It was his show of respect for Xiao Ling's courageous defense of his family.
"Come on, let's send this hateful nightmare on his way!"
As if sharing a single thought, the two assumed the starting stance for a Rider Kick, ready to deliver the final blow to this clown.
Seeing that things had taken a terrible turn, the bespectacled man begged for mercy, blood already beginning to seep from his nose.
"Big brothers, I'll never dare do it again. Please spare me..."
"Fuck off! Die!"
Catastorm Crusher!
Z! Z! Z!
(This is our blood-pumping combination attack!.jpg)
Xiao Ling and the Calamity King's stylish Rider Kicks struck the bespectacled man squarely, and the clown finally collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious.
