Reflex Nerves X Pure Asura Heart
"Well~~who knows?"
Glancing at Gittarackur, who was still grilling, Baishi cut off Killua's abruptly rising voice and whispered with a smile, "Keep your voice down! People could die over this information..."
"T-tell me!"
His eyes burning, Killua seized Baishi's arm and looked up, staring intently at him. Disbelief, a thirst for knowledge, and curiosity mingled in his eyes, and veins bulged on the arm gripping Baishi.
"No matter what price I have to pay, tell me the answer! Is it related to the [Nen] you mentioned..."
Ding!
[Temporary Weighting Task triggered!] [Temporary Weighting Task: Tell Killua about or resolve his urgent predicament. Depending on how it is resolved, Advent Emulation attempts of different qualities can be obtained!] [Restriction - Forced Equivalence: Advent Emulation x? (white~~gold)]
Hiss-!
There's actually a chance to get gold?!
Baishi silently drew a sharp breath, a flash of heat in his eyes, but the feeling vanished the moment he caught sight of Gittarackur.
Sure enough... the more weight a character has in the original story, the more likely it is that deliberately drawing out strong emotions from them will trigger a weighting task.
Baishi's eyes flickered.
To make sure this trigger wasn't an isolated incident, I'll have to find more ways to draw those emotions out later!
"Baishi!"
Killua, who had a vague suspicion, saw Baishi suddenly fall silent and tightened his grip on his arm as a reminder.
Ding!

Pure Asura Heart cannot be analyzed...]
Hmm~~
No wonder...
No wonder a [gold]-level weighting task was triggered by Killua...
Without immediately responding to Killua's tugging, Baishi first scanned all of Killua's analysis information. After staring at [Pure Asura Heart] for a while, he gathered his thoughts.
In the original story, every member of the Zoldyck Family placed extraordinary, even extreme, importance on Killua. The unexpected discovery of a [gold] talent made Baishi wonder whether their regard for him had something to do with this exceptionally high-quality talent.
After all, since he began using Advent Emulation to analyze people, the highest-level talents Illumi, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio currently possessed were only [purple].
Although he could not yet tell whether their talents would undergo a qualitative change after they awakened their Nen Abilities in the future, judging by the present situation, Killua's talent was undoubtedly the strongest of the four.
That makes sense... Killua has already mastered all the Zoldyck Family's assassination techniques at this stage, and his strength is already far above Gon and the others...
Should I use Advent Emulation?
The thought flashed through Baishi's mind, and a trace of hesitation appeared in his eyes.
He had only [1 purple] Advent Emulation attempt, and there were four targets available: [Enhancement Vessel (purple)], [Scarlet Eyes (purple)], [Unhewn Core (purple)], and [Electric Shock Adaptation Physique (purple)].
Each of the four had their own top-tier talent.
But the ones that interested Baishi most were [Scarlet Eyes] and the electric Nen Ability Killua would develop in the future.
[Scarlet Eyes] was highly compatible with Conjuration. Developed through a restriction, it could temporarily bring out the full effects of every category at one hundred percent when activated.
For Baishi, that was an extremely important supplementary ability.
Although he had yet to test his Nen type with [Water Divination], since the [Talisman Wheel] had been forcibly assigned to [Conjuration] by the world's rules, there was a strong possibility that his [Hatsu] was [Conjuration]!
Of course, he could not rule out the possibility that it belonged to both Specialization and Conjuration. After all, it could convert talents and Nen Abilities into Talismans through the Hatsu method of analysis and Advent Emulation, thereby providing the advantage of effects equivalent to abilities from every category, even if proficiency imposed limitations.
The wheel's characteristics were somewhat exaggerated as well.
That said,
if he used Advent Emulation to obtain [Scarlet Eyes], increased his proficiency, and used it to devise a Nen Ability similar to Kurapika's future [Emperor Time], he might be able to temporarily bypass the restrictions imposed by proficiency and bring all the talents and abilities obtained through Advent Emulation to their limits.
All of this was speculation Baishi had arrived at by analyzing the information he knew. He still did not know how it would actually work, but it was worth looking forward to.
As for [Electric Shock Adaptation Physique]... Baishi could not help glancing at Killua's [Reflex Nerves (blue)]. Clearly, Killua would eventually develop his electric Nen Ability using those two talents as its foundation!
So, rather than use Advent Emulation to obtain a physique-type talent that was useless on its own for now, he might as well wait until Killua had successfully developed his Nen Ability.
By comparison, [Reflex Nerves] interested him more. It was a talent that could complement [Dynamic Simulation].
Unfortunately, he only had [1 purple] attempt, and using it on a lower-grade talent would clearly be an extreme waste.
Thus, however reluctant he was, Baishi could only give it up for now. As for Gon's and Leorio's [purple] talents, they seemed to relate respectively to an Enhancement talent and a vessel for Nen Aura quantity, neither of which he had much need for at present.
If he had enough Advent Emulation attempts in the future, he might use them on those talents. For now, both could be set aside as lower priorities. Perhaps their talents would undergo qualitative changes once the group had grown.
"..."
Having sorted out all the useful information, Baishi came back to his senses. He bent slightly and lowered his head, whispering into Killua's ear without changing his expression.
"What's the rush... Come find me when you're alone! You're making it so obvious right now. Believe it or not, I could die right here!"
Die here?
That brief sentence instantly calmed the somewhat agitated Killua. He then gave Baishi a long, searching look before releasing him and returning to his grilling spot.
During the information exchange before the hunt, Baishi demonstrated [Nen], which can't be seen with the naked eye. In other words... even after gaining extraordinary power, he's still that wary?
Does that mean... there's an enemy among these examinees that even Baishi, with his extraordinary power, can't fight?
And it's connected to the instinctive terror that makes me flee every time I encounter danger?!
Who is it-!
