A single cultivation session after becoming a god was often a very lengthy affair. Both Rog and Dimont were fairly patient, while Wald was the only one with little desire to cultivate. Aside from the time he had spent at the beginning to Refine Divine Spark, he had been unable to comprehend the laws afterward and could only develop a few techniques.

After refining the Godspark, Wald could finally take human form. With nothing else to do, he nurtured an axe for himself and practiced using it alone nearby. The law's profound mystery contained in the Lowgod Godspark he had refined was the most basic Earth Element Profound Mystery. It was characterized by tremendous force and excelled in raw power.

"Hm? Why is someone else coming over? And this time it's actually a Midgod?" Rog suddenly opened his eyes as he cultivated. Even the initial fusion of two profound mysteries was difficult. Rog felt it would take him close to a hundred years at least to completely fuse the Elemental Laws of Lightning and Judgment.

He had only spent a little over twenty years cultivating again, and the two profound mysteries were only about twenty percent fused. His strength had improved only modestly compared to before.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Feiqi, and I'm the warden of the Glais Material Plane. I follow the orders of the great Sovereign and am responsible for guarding the giant teleportation array deep in the Starlight Forest."

"Any living being in this plane that reaches the Saint-level can use it to leave for another plane. Dimont knows the details. Your name is Rog, right? You broke through and became a god without a sound. Impressive." The tall, gray-haired man who had approached them was the plane's warden.

"Master, this Feiqi also came once when I was at the Saint-level, but I ignored him then." Dimont told Rog the situation through Soul Transmission, and Rog indicated that he understood. Fortunately, Dimont hadn't believed the man and gone to a Divine Plane while still at the Saint-level.

"Judging by your aura, you cultivate the Laws of Lightning, don't you? Let me recommend a place. It's east of the Starlight Forest, called the Hanno Mountain Range. It rains there all year round, and lightning often gathers in the mountains. The sights there should give you some insight into cultivating the Laws of Lightning. As for whether you go to a Divine Plane, you can decide that for yourself. I only came to carry out my duty and say hello."

Feiqi wore a friendly smile, but Rog knew what plane wardens did. Who knew how many ignorant Saint-level experts this group had deceived into going to their deaths in the Divine Planes?

"The Hanno Mountain Range? I see. I'll go take a look sometime. Thank you for the advice, Mr. Feiqi." Certain extreme, unusual environments did indeed help with cultivating the laws. Rog hadn't known about the place before, but now that he did, he would certainly go and see it.

I wonder what Feiqi's purpose is. He's probably just trying to establish a friendly connection. As far as Rog knew, he had no grudge with the man, who probably wouldn't target him simply because he was unwilling to go to a Divine Plane immediately.

Even so, to be on the safe side, Rog brought Dimont along. With Dimont's Innate Divine Ability and Rog's true strength, they didn't need to fear Feiqi too much, even if he was a Midgod.

"Come on, let's go to the Hanno Mountain Range." Leaving Wald to guard the cultivation "secret chamber," Rog and Dimont flew toward the Starlight Forest.

The Starlight Forest had no shortage of magical beasts of all kinds. Rumor had it that a powerful Saint-level dragon called the Diamond Stardragon lived deep within the forest. But Rog hadn't come to slay a dragon and hunt for treasure, so he headed straight for the Hanno Mountain Range.

The Hanno Mountain Range.

It was a mountain range of unusual shape. The two flew high into the air and looked down over the entire range. From the northwest to the southeast, the mountains rose and fell in an even pattern. Viewed from the front, the range curved inward like a "great drum." When they reached the area directly in front of it, a strange electric light flowed over the rocks, even though there was no rain or thunder at the moment.

Rog gazed at this natural wonder,

lost in thought. The environment of this mountain range was indeed highly unusual. Not only was its structure peculiar, but its rocks were also somewhat strange: they could actually store a portion of lightning's power. "Is it magnetite?" Rog cut off a piece of rock and held it in his hand to examine it, lost in thought.

"Once it rains and thunders, the scene here will surely be even more unusual." Rog waited patiently in the Hanno Mountain Range for nearly ten days before the rainy season finally arrived.

"Rumble-"

A deep, explosive peal of thunder rang out. Amid the torrential rain, dazzling lightning tore through the dark sky. The leaping flashes seemed to reveal some profound and obscure truth.

"That lightning!" It was as if a flash of lightning had suddenly illuminated the darkness within Rog's soul as well. Inspiration burst forth, and he quickly comprehended a new profound mystery.

"This profound mystery mainly enhances speed. It must be the Lightning Speed profound mystery that appeared in the original story." Rog was delighted. He had finally comprehended a third profound mystery of the Laws of Lightning.

"Crackle-sizzle!" The fury of the thunder raged on. Bolt after violent bolt struck the rocks of the Hanno Mountain Range, each carrying fierce, explosive power. Yet within mere breaths of striking the rocks, that power vanished without a trace. Only occasional threads of electricity flowed across the rocks' surfaces, flickering in the night sky.

"What is this?" Watching this miraculous scene from nature, Rog's mind raced, his thoughts throwing off countless sparks.

"The lightning itself, including that tremendous sound, possesses a terrifying power. And those rocks that can absorb the power of lightning are probably able to do so because of electromagnetism.

"Electricity produces magnetism, and magnetism produces electricity. I should have thought of it sooner." Even in a different world, some basic laws governing the cycles of all things would not change, such as gravity and the "magnetism" before him now.

"Gravity can form a Gravity Space. The magnetism I've comprehended can probably form a magnetic space as well. I'll call this profound mystery Electromagnetic Space." This trip to the Hanno Mountain Range had truly been worthwhile. He had only hoped it would give him some insight and inspiration, but unexpectedly, he had gained an initial grasp of two profound mysteries at once.

"Adding the two Lightning Element profound mysteries I was already fusing, I've comprehended four. And I already have an idea about both of the remaining two." Of the six profound mysteries, only two remained. Rog had already reached the threshold of one: a profound mystery representing the inherent power of lightning itself, including thunder. Its power was certainly not weak.

The other profound mystery was probably one that established a deeper connection with its element, similar to the Earth Travel Technique and the Fire Body Technique. It was only a low-level profound mystery, and it was closely connected to the elemental profound mystery, so comprehending it would not be difficult for Rog.

"I originally intended to fuse two different types of profound mysteries first, but now it looks like fusing the profound mysteries of the Laws of Lightning alone might be faster." A hint of a smile appeared on Rog's stern face in the distant flashes of lightning. He had not only gained an initial grasp of two profound mysteries; one of them, Lightning Speed, was even showing faint signs of fusing with Judgment, which he had comprehended earlier.

Those signs meant Rog now had a chance to fuse three profound mysteries of the Laws of Lightning. But even after finding a point of compatibility, fusing profound mysteries was not easy. Fusing them in pairs alone was expected to take a hundred years, while fusing all three would take at least a thousand.

And so, Rog occasionally flew to the Hanno Mountain Range to seek inspiration for the Laws of Lightning, but spent most of his time cultivating in the Lost Forest.

This time, his goal was to become a Midgod in both elements!

Thanks to the occasional insights he gained from the Hanno Mountain Range, his cultivation of the Laws of Lightning progressed fairly quickly. With the Death Rule, on the other hand, Rog had no good reference, so he could only continue comprehending the two parts he had previously grasped: Soul Ray and Heart of the Undead.

Rog's Saint Domain True Body cultivated the Death Rule together with his Death Divine Clone, and their progress just barely kept pace with his Lightning Divine Clone.

By Rog's guess, the only Midgod still alive on the Glais Continent was probably the plane warden named Feiqi. Thus, Rog did not expect to make breakthroughs by fighting others and could only rely on secluded cultivation and comprehension. Dimont, who cultivated the Path of Destruction, went out several times during this period and stirred up storms of slaughter across the continent.

Progress in the Edicts of Destruction required a great deal of killing in the first place, so Rog did not stop Dimont. He did, however, warn him not to slaughter humans indiscriminately, though those who provoked him were an exception.

In nearly a hundred years, the name of Dimont, the demon god of destruction, had spread throughout the continent. Legends of him even circulated in the Polar Icefield, the place farthest from the continent's center. A group of fanatical believers regarded Dimont as a true god and carved enormous stone statues of him to worship.

On the great prairie in particular, the strength-worshipping orcs regarded Dimont as a "god of war." In just over a hundred years, Dimont had gained more devoted followers on the Orc Great Prairie than Wumengta had accumulated in thirty thousand years.

But Dimont was indeed worthy of being a Super Divine Beast. Until Wumengta broke through, he had no chance of defeating Dimont. Dimont in particular grew fiercer the more he fought, comprehending the path through slaughter. His aura grew increasingly terrifying, and the killing aura around him alone was enough to crush enemies with weak resolve.

And that slaughter had not been in vain. Dimont could feel that he was not far from breaking through to the Midgod level.
