|---|---|---|
| Saint Domain necromancer; dual-element Soul Mutator | 1 | Inherits Rogris’s recently attained Saint-level cultivation, mutated soul, and affinities for the Death Rule and Laws of Lightning. |
| Death Lowgod | 6 | Comprehends enough of the Death Rule to form a Godspark. Splits his soul and creates a separate Death Divine Clone. |
| Lightning godhood | 9 | Forms a Lightning Divine Clone, enabling two-element Fused Divine Power and eliminating his early weakness in material combat. |
| Lightning Midgod | 13 | Completely fuses the Elemental Laws of Lightning and Judgment profound mysteries. |
| Death Midgod | 13 | Advances along the Soul Ray path. Combining both clones’ Midgod Power produces power comparable to Highgod Power and gives him Five-Star Fiend-level combat strength. |
| Four Lightning profound mysteries fused | 33 | Completes the fusion of Lightning Body Technique with his other mysteries during fifty thousand years of cultivation. His separate Fusion Law approaches the power of five fused mysteries. |
| Highgod — confirmed | 46 | Has advanced to Highgod by this point, but still cannot independently extract Sovereign’s Might from Inkstone. |
| Light godhood; three-element soul mutation complete | 53 | Forms a Light Divine Clone and completes the transformation of his other souls. Gains the ability to extract and control Sovereign’s Might. |

| Death Highgod; Asura-level understanding — confirmed | 114 | His Death Divine Clone is a Highgod, while his understanding of the Death Rule has reached the Asura threshold. |
| Body surpasses Highgod Artifacts | 154 | Uses Light Sovereign’s Might to strengthen his modified body. A Highgod Artifact saber breaks against his arm, though his body remains below Sovereign Artifact level. |
| Light Highgod | 154 | Masters his final outstanding Light profound mystery. Has fused four Light mysteries, with a possible fifth still ahead. |
| Light Sovereign | 156 | Kills Hermela inside the Bronze Door’s Void and refines her Sovereign Spark. |
| Death Sovereign | 158 | Kills Lianhuo and refines his Sovereign Spark, enabling two-element Fused Sovereign Power. |
| Three-element Sovereign | 160 161 | Kills Lightning Sovereign Hurley and obtains the third Sovereign Spark. His strength and mysterious methods overturn the existing balance among Sovereigns. |
| Further Light Jade body strengthening | 164 | Five months of continuous Light Sovereign’s Might bring his body to a level comparable to those of the Sovereign of Death and other physically powerful Sovereigns. |
| Death Paragon | 167 | Perfects the Death Rule with the Death Demonic Tome’s guidance. Another portion of Willpower transforms every soul and increases his power tenfold. |

| Adaptation to black divine power | 213 | His body accommodates power formed from four elemental Highgod Powers. It no longer strengthens him, but its structural alterations provide important research material. |
| Hongmeng Spiritual Energy produced | 214 | Uses the Gate of Fusion to combine earth, water, fire, and wind Sovereign’s Might. Begins adapting his body to the resulting gray energy. |
| Hongmeng Body completed | 215 | Repeatedly refines Hongmeng Spiritual Energy. His souls become one, his Sovereign Sparks disappear, and he gains direct access to all eleven laws and edicts. |
| Escape from the universe | 216 | Breaks through the universe’s boundary and reaches Hongmeng. |
| First-Level Hongmeng Controller | 217 | Places his soul power on the Hongmeng Golden Roll and takes the name Luo Meng. |
Background / History
Rog originally lived on Blue Star, where he remembered being struck head-on by a large truck. He subsequently awakened in an underground laboratory on the Glais Material Plane, merged with Rogris’s memories, and recognized his surroundings as the world of Coiling Dragon 1.
Rogris had been an orphan selected from the slums by the necromancer Fide for his unusually pure soul. He became a ninth-level dual-element mage before twenty and later risked a dangerous Saint-level breakthrough to fulfill his teacher’s dying wish. The breakthrough injured his soul and triggered the mutation through which Rog inherited his body, memories, and magical talent 1 30.
Necromancers were widely persecuted on Glais because of an earlier necromancer calamity. Rog therefore concealed his Saint-level necromancy behind lower-ranked lightning-mage identities while exploring the continent 1 2.
Appearance
- Youthful, handsome face: Initially appears as a cold-looking young man in black robes; later descriptions emphasize his handsome features and composed bearing 1 41.
- Clone-dependent hair: Appears silver-haired during early Death cultivation, purple-haired in his Lightning form, gray-haired while studying the Death Demonic Tome, and golden-haired in his Light Divine Clone 5 36 144 154.
- Long purple hair: His Lightning form’s hair reaches his hips 36.
- Black eyes: Described as concealing a vast star river; later seem capable of drawing observers into illusions or releasing terrifying lightning 43 196.
- Purple-and-gold robes: His later robes bear black crescent moons and lightning patterns 196.
Personality
Rog begins his new life with strong curiosity about magical creatures and unfamiliar peoples, but repeatedly puts cultivation ahead of adventure. He rejects joining an ordinary mercenary group because its members would offer little help in improving his strength, and carefully hides abilities that might expose him to danger 1 2.
His caution is rooted partly in fear. When Nuoti nearly kills him, Rog realizes that he has spent much of his second life training simply to avoid being killed by stronger beings. He regrets having lived like a machine rather than enjoying his extraordinary circumstances. During his subsequent long retreat, he begins sending a clone out to enjoy city life alongside his cultivation 30 33.
He is a patient researcher who learns especially well by studying nature. The Fog Sea Riot, Nether Mountain, and Thunder Abyss become practical teachers rather than merely dangerous locations. Discovering the Soul-Suppressing Celestial Crystal excites him chiefly because its structure might reveal a reproducible technique 23 36 70 93.
Rog kills enemies decisively but is explicitly distinguished from experts who casually massacre entire families. After becoming a dominant Sovereign, he agrees to preserve order rather than continue killing indiscriminately. He also repays favors, notably by returning to reward Kingsley after attaining Sovereign status 161 166.
Abilities & Skills
Soul Mutation and Power Fusion
Rog’s mutated soul supports unusually strong soul techniques, accelerated comprehension, and the fusion of different types of divine power 2 9 70.
- His early soul foundation is approximately ten times stronger than that of an equivalent cultivator 2 50.
- Two-element fusion greatly strengthens material attacks, but unequal divine-power ranks can make the result weaker rather than stronger 9 13.
- Completing his three-element mutation allows him to extract Sovereign’s Might from Inkstone 53.
- Paragon breakthroughs transform every soul rather than benefiting only the clone that reaches perfection 107 167.
- As a three-element Sovereign, his soul is described as a hundred times stronger than those of other Sovereigns 193.
Necromancy and Death Rule
Rog’s earliest specialty is ranged soul combat supported by undead summons 1.
- Undead contracts: Commands a Saint-level Skeleton Mage, Black Knight, Ghost Archer, and Bone Dragon. Together they can trouble even a peak Saint who understands the laws 1.
- Undead Sense: Detects concealed strength, allowing him to identify a tavern bartender as a ninth-level warrior 2.
- Soul Ray: Destroys a Black-Patterned Triceratops’s soul without damaging its body 4.
- Soul control and bewilderment: Controls weaker beings and obtains information from them, including Lusi and Xiuyinsi 198 202.
- Fire of Repentance: Improves through study of soul burning on the Death Demonic Tome’s seventy-third page 144.
- Early limitation: His necromantic arsenal initially leaves him vulnerable in close combat 1.
Soul Defense
Rog reproduces the Soul-Suppressing Celestial Crystal’s defensive arrangement using his own soul force after five hundred years of research 23.
- The technique derives from the crystal’s sophisticated structure rather than the properties of a conventional Soul Defense Divine Artifact 23.
- At Highgod level, ordinary commander-level soul techniques have extreme difficulty affecting him 50.
- Before reaching Paragon, he acknowledges that soul attacks carrying Paragon Willpower remain beyond his defense 50.
- His strengthened soul later permits him to concentrate an enormous Thunder World’s energy into a single spear tip 193.
Lightning Combat
Rog develops Lightning techniques for material offense, mobility, and close combat 2 9.
- Tribulation Lightning Slash: A saber technique based on two Lightning profound mysteries; Fused Divine Power lets it break Wumengta’s chain-spear encirclement 10.
- Dark Soul Nether Lightning: Kills the armored Highgod assassin Li Wei 35.
- Thunderclap – Fall: A powerful saber strike used to kill Anna 35.
- Azure Lightning: An ultimate technique whose exceptional amplification lets Rog compete with top commanders before his mystery fusion alone reaches their level 46 64.
- Electromagnetic Space: Becomes the core of additional techniques inspired by Langsiluo’s ultimate move 64.
- Extreme Point Instant Lightning: Pierces Orloff’s Unpredictable Disturbance and drives him backward despite his Overgod Sword 194.
Willpower and Spatial Control
Reaching Lightning Paragon grants Rog control over matter and surrounding space, beyond a simple increase in attack power 107.
- Can tear open Netherworld space with a hand movement without employing profound mysteries 107.
- His earlier Authority of Lightning provides attack amplification but lacks this spatial control 83.
- Completing the Death Rule grants an additional portion of Willpower and another tenfold increase in power 167.
- His completed Hongmeng Body ultimately loses the Willpower of his original body while acquiring a different means of accessing the world’s fundamental powers 215.
Light Jade Golden Body
Rog develops this physique by imitating the Light Jade Beast’s bodily structure after discovering that its essence blood is incompatible with him 130 202.
- Energy absorption: Once established, the body instinctively absorbs suitable light energy to strengthen itself 208.
- True-body restriction: His early body-tempering method requires flesh and blood; divine clones formed from condensed divine power cannot cultivate it 80.
- Regeneration: After absorbing Purple Sun Aurora, Rog estimates that only an attack annihilating his entire body at once could overcome his recovery 208.
- Child of Light: Establishes a deep natural affinity with the Dao of Light, improving his aptitude for further Light cultivation 208.
- Light Control Technique: Commands light energies, including Purple Sun Aurora, and enables flight faster than many Emperors 208.
- Cross-universe use: These abilities belong to his physical instincts and remain usable outside the Coiling Dragon Universe 208.
Witch Cultivation and Hongmeng Transformation
Rog adopts Witch Cultivation because it complements his research into matter, energy, bodies, and souls 202.
- Recognizes the Light Jade Golden Body as possessing a rare matter-energy conversion property 202.
- Studies the Void-level legacy Seven Lightnings, though the supplied account records his assessment of its potential rather than completion of its moves 211.
- Uses research into four-element black divine power and Divine Beast essence blood to develop a method of accommodating Hongmeng Spiritual Energy 213 214.
- A completed Hongmeng Body can draw on different Elemental Seas and directly access all eleven laws and edicts 215.
- Becoming a Hongmeng Controller grants access to the energy of any universe and the ability to calculate the fates of almost all living beings 217.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Leiming Purple Copper saber — Early Lightning weapon; initially strong enough for brief clashes with Lowgod Artifacts despite not yet being nurtured 9.
- Soul-Suppressing Celestial Crystal — A black, 108-faced crystal that guides soul force into a powerful defensive structure. Rog names it and studies its arrangement 23.
- Voidbreaker Spear and two companion spears — Forged from Thunderhorn Behemoth horns and nurtured in the Thunder Abyss. Rog concludes that the three can rival Sovereign Artifacts 70.
- Golden Spirit Battle Armor — A Material Defense Sovereign Artifact surrendered by Aide in exchange for escape from Paerlun Planar Prison. Stops Rog’s Sovereign’s Might-enhanced spear attack without injuring its wearer 74.
- Light Network Crystal — Analyzes light-element Divine Beast essence blood and becomes a major aid in Rog’s bloodline research 91 128.
- Black Serpent Spear — Divine Spark Weapon forged by Beirut from earth, wind, water, and fire Godsparks. After more than ten thousand years of violet-gold power nurturing, it is described as the strongest Sovereign Artifact in existence 135 193.
- Bronze Door — Opens access to a Void where Hermela loses her connection to her powers and laws. Its spacetime authority later cancels the locking effect of Orloff’s Space-Time Chaos 156 194.
- Death Demonic Tome — Research treasure that helps Lilith reach Death Paragon and later guides Rog to the same attainment 144 167.
- Overgod Tokens — Obtains the crown and Nine Spirit Orbs, then receives the missing Redbud Crystal Diamond from Linley 190 196.
- Life Overgod’s Might — Requests this instead of an Overgod Artifact; later uses it while adapting his body to Hongmeng Spiritual Energy 197 214.
Relationships
- Fide — Rogris’s teacher. His dying wish that Rogris become a Saint motivated the dangerous breakthrough preceding Rog’s arrival 1 30.
- Dimont — Six-Armed Demon Ape subordinate and long-term companion. Protects Rog from Nuoti with Suppress Heaven and remains beside him during his later travels 30 170.
- Haidisi — Close companion who shares his life over many years. Accepts the truth of his otherworldly origins and accompanies him to meet his parents on Blue Star 136 217.
- Ninisha — Lightning Paragon and traveling companion toward whom Rog develops romantic feelings. He promises to take her beyond their world if he finds a way out 97 98.
- Aiken — Cultivation contact who refines Sovereign’s Might for him and recommends Nether Mountain and Thunder Abyss as Lightning training sites 46.
- Elmira — Vampire maid and administrative subordinate; conveys intelligence and receives orders concerning Tianhua Prefecture’s army 53 59.
- Kingsley — Rog heals his damaged soul, learns about the Light Network Crystal from him, and later appoints him a Sovereign’s Emissary to repay his favor 91 166.
- Leisjing — Friend who approaches through their connection to Sovereign Zijing, gives Rog Sovereign’s Might, and supplies information about other Sovereigns 84 86.
- Lilith — Sovereign of Death; hosts Rog’s study of the Death Demonic Tome. Their initially unequal relationship reverses after Rog becomes stronger than the other Sovereigns 144 164 165.
- Beirut — Forges the Black Serpent Spear for Rog and receives two drops of Sovereign’s Might as payment 135.
- Linley — Someone Rog admired before transmigration. Rog intervenes to spare his family tragedy; they first meet when Linley presents the Redbud Crystal Diamond 18 170 196.
- Orloff — Fate Sovereign who recognizes Rog’s Paragon status and later challenges him using Space-Time Chaos and the Fate Overgod Sword 118 194.
- Hongmeng — Guides Rog in entering his name on the Hongmeng Golden Roll 217.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Glais and the Pursuit of Godhood
Rog explores Glais while hiding his necromancy, contracts Saint-level undead, and enters the Lost Forest. His encounter with Dimont gives him a concrete incentive to become a deity first and claim the powerful ape as a subordinate. After attaining Death godhood, he sets out with Wald to make Dimont submit 1 5 6.
His spar with Wumengta tests his new divine combat abilities and forces him to reveal Fused Divine Power. Recognizing that Divine Planes offer better resources but greater danger, Rog waits until both principal divine clones reach Midgod before preparing to leave 10 13.
Infernal Realm: Research and Enemies
In Dawa City, Rog spends five hundred years studying the Soul-Suppressing Celestial Crystal. His later confrontation with Nuoti ends in near death: Dimont briefly restrains the attacker, Rog loses most of his body to a staff blow, and an unexplained black ray destroys Nuoti before the finishing strike 23 30.
After fifty thousand years of cultivation, Rog defeats Li Wei and Anna and learns that Fulaite ordered their attack. As Tianhua Prefect, he also pursues Makenrich; when Makenrich arranges an ambush with Mosi and Gustav, Rog detects the trap and strikes first, killing Gustav and destroying two of Mosi’s bodies 33 35 59.
The Road to Paragon
Rog develops his Lightning understanding through expeditions, duels, and direct exposure to natural lightning. His battle with Gunther establishes his reputation among the strongest gods below Paragon. Uhtred subsequently offers him an emissary position, but Rog refuses because his ambitions extend beyond service to a Sovereign 64 70 83 84.
He eventually reaches Lightning Paragon on Nether Mountain. Later, he confronts the Cruz Clan over its protection of Fulaite, kills both Fulaite and Saimengte, and accepts the Fate Sovereign’s decision to return Saimengte’s corpse to the clan 107 118.
Overturning the Sovereign Order
Rog’s research into the Light Jade Beast provides a path to a powerful physical body and draws Hermela’s attention. He brings her into the Bronze Door’s Void, kills her, and becomes a Light Sovereign. He then takes Lianhuo’s Death Sovereign Spark and kills Hurley, completing his three-element Sovereign power 154 156 158 160 161.
The killings alarm the other Sovereigns, but Rog assures them that he will maintain order. His combination of strength and unexplained methods leaves even the Four Rules Sovereigns reluctant to confront him directly 161.
Changing Linley’s Future
Rog arranges for faith to be spread on the Yulan Continent without harvesting pure mortal souls, intending to prevent Lina’s death and the chain of revenge that followed in the original story. He believes Linley’s curiosity, courage, and love of cultivation are enough to make him an expert without those tragedies 170.
When Linley and Bebe finally meet him, they deliver the Redbud Crystal Diamond needed to complete his Overgod Tokens. Rog offers a Lower Earth Sovereign Spark as a possible reward, explicitly warning Linley that refining it would permanently fix his Sovereign rank 196.
Beyond the Coiling Dragon Universe
Rog summons the Life Overgod and requests Overgod’s Might for his Bronze Door experiments. In another universe, he discovers that the Blood God Temple collects outsiders as experimental materials and turns to Witch Cultivation, since that universe’s laws alone cannot grant an outsider godhood 197 202.
His research culminates in producing Hongmeng Spiritual Energy, completing a Hongmeng Body, and breaking free of the universe. After becoming Luo Meng, a First-Level Hongmeng Controller, he returns to restore the three vanished Sovereign Sparks, tells Haidisi his origins, and searches countless Blue Star worlds until he finds his parents’ home 214 215 216 217.
