Jin Family Lineage

Golden Crocodile Douluo belongs to the Golden Crocodile King lineage and has several direct descendants by the time Jin Yu arrives. His son has already died; when first hearing about the unfamiliar youth, he briefly wonders whether Jin Yu might be that son's previously unknown child 2.

Jin Yu instead introduces himself as the Jin family's 166th-generation descendant from ten thousand years in the future. Golden Crocodile initially doubts the claim, but Jin Yu's resemblance, Martial Soul, and knowledge of Spirit Hall's closely guarded secrets persuade the seven worships to take him seriously 2.

Rescuing Jin Yu from Shrek Academy

After learning that Spirit Hall no longer exists in Jin Yu's era, Golden Crocodile agrees to accompany him through a spacetime rift. Qian Daoliu entrusts him with bringing Jin Yu back safely, recognizing the boy's importance to changing Spirit Hall's fate 3.

At Shrek Academy, Golden Crocodile intercepts Xuan Zi's attack on Jin Yu and severely injures him with successive punches. When Yan Shaozhe, Qian Duoduo, Xian Lin'er, and Cai Mei'er intervene, he activates his Martial Soul Avatar and forces them back. Following Jin Yu's warning about the academy's other experts, he uses Fierce Golden Crocodile to cover their escape 3 4.

His victory is aided by surprise: Xuan Zi is struck before activating his Martial Soul and cannot recover the initiative. Jin Yu explicitly considers a prepared one-on-one fight uncertain, rather than treating the beating as proof of overwhelming superiority 4.

Preparing to Change Spirit Hall's Future

Golden Crocodile escorts Jin Yu west into the Sun Moon Empire before returning with him to the Worship Hall. He waits to hear the explanation for Spirit Hall's destruction together with the other worships. Jin Yu tells them that Tang San will destroy their faction within twenty years and that none of the worships will survive 5 6.

He subsequently accompanies Jin Yu and Qian Daoliu to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. There, he defeats Dugu Bo with one punch without releasing his Martial Soul. Although he favors killing Dugu Bo to prevent retaliation, he accepts the decision to capture him after Jin Yu argues for recruiting him 7 8.

An Immortal Herb from the well loosens his longstanding cultivation bottleneck. He then helps collect the mature herbs and fulfills his promise to obtain Jin Yu's fourth Soul Ring, incapacitating a ten-thousand-year Giant Crocodile of Light for Jin Yu to finish 9 10.

Worship Hall Consolidation and the Body Sect

Golden Crocodile supports Qian Daoliu during Bibi Dong's removal as Pope. Alongside the other five subordinate worships, he rises and releases his pressure when she threatens to oppose the Great Enshrined 13.

He teaches Jin Yu the inherited Crocodile Emperor Art, later passing on its second-level method after Jin Yu masters the first. When Azure Luan returns wounded and reports Guang Ling's capture, Golden Crocodile accompanies Qian Daoliu to confront the Body Sect 16 24 25.

While Qian Daoliu fights Du Busi, Golden Crocodile battles the sect's ten other Titled Douluo. Their coordinated attacks and superior recovery make a prolonged fight difficult, prompting him to use Fierce Golden Crocodile and knock down eight opponents. After the confrontation, he learns the later era's cultivation methods and successfully condenses his First Soul Core 26 31.

Personality

Golden Crocodile is fiercely protective of his descendants. He accepts the danger of traveling into an unfamiliar era to rescue Jin Yu and eventually treats the distant descendant almost as his own grandson. His affection appears in practical support: guarding Jin Yu, selecting a suitable Soul Beast, and transmitting the family's inherited art 3 8 10 16.

Toward enemies, he is domineering and ruthless. He mocks Xuan Zi while beating him and proposes killing Dugu Bo to prevent future retaliation. Nevertheless, he listens to Jin Yu's tactical advice, prioritizes escape over continuing the Shrek confrontation, and accepts Dugu Bo's capture rather than insisting on execution 4 8.

He is candid about his limitations. He acknowledges that he cannot destroy Shrek Academy alone and openly admits his failure to approach the Crocodile Emperor Art's second level 6 16.
