Background

Wang Hezheng was a once-exceptional Wang Clan disciple whose sixteen strands of Qi and Blood greatly exceeded the clan's usual standard. After reaching the Energy Refining Realm, he used Dragon Transformation Sect connections to elevate the Wang Clan's standing and secure its control of Changyun County's mines and farmland. 28

Although he possessed considerable talent, his leap from thirteen to sixteen strands of Qi and Blood depended on the rare Ten-Thousand-Year Vermilion Fruit. This experience left him aware of how difficult it is to break natural cultivation limits without extraordinary opportunities. 54
