Background / History

Wang Yue condensed the Vital Essence Body in the Wang Clan's Vital Essence Chamber using the Unworldly Buddha Three Lives Body divine ability. The process consumed nearly all vital essence in the chamber and halved Wang Yue's Qi and Blood. The resulting body was physically identical to Wang Yue, but formed from vital essence and surrounded by a faint golden aura. 49

Although Wang Yue could operate both bodies at once through shared senses and synchronized thought, the Vital Essence Body immediately displayed an independent will. Wang Yue sent it from the clan estate to reside in the county town, while the body warned that forcibly canceling the divine ability from too great a distance could permanently cost Wang Yue something important. 49

The body became Wang Yue's parallel cultivator, with its cultivation directly restoring the main body's Qi and Blood. It secretly drew essence from the Essence Refining Qi Gathering Array, condensed Solidified Essence, and concealed parts of its methods from Wang Yue. 50

After assisting Wang Hezheng against Zhao Kingdom martial artists, the Vital Essence Body was mistaken for a Buddha Son because of its ability to manipulate and restore essence. It preserved that deception to gain the cooperation of Zhao Kingdom martial artists, then used essence stones and cultivation assistance to establish Zizaitian in Spirit Seeking City. 55 56 58 65

Despite its unruly behavior, it responds in crises. It returned to replenish the depleted cultivation chamber, cultivated in parallel with Wang Yue to relieve dangerous essence accumulation, and intervened when Wang Yue was close to failing to condense the Dragon Subduing Lock. 51 59

It is ambitious in building influence and readily exploits the Buddha Son misunderstanding, the desires of martial artists, and its supply of essence stones to secure loyalty for Zizaitian. 56 65 69
