Background / History

The Xiao Clan was originally one of the Eight Ancient Clans and descended from a Dou Emperor. Its descendants inherited the Dou Di Bloodline, which gave them exceptional cultivation potential, but the bloodline gradually weakened over countless years. Xiao Xuan, the clan's greatest later expert, reached the Half Emperor realm but could not become a Dou Emperor because he lacked Origin Qi. 60

The ancient Xiao Clan was eventually destroyed, leaving only a small number of survivors. With assistance from the Gu Clan, those survivors relocated to the Jia Ma Empire and lived under the reduced identity of the Xiao Family. 37

At the beginning of the story, the Xiao Family was one of Wutan City's three major clans, with 197 members recorded by Xiao Lin's Family System. Its prospects changed when former patriarch Xiao Lin awakened after twelve years in a state of living death and began receiving cultivation feedback from clan members. 1 4

Xiao Lin used the family's rise to defeat the Misty Cloud Sect, accumulate its resources, and invest heavily in every branch of the clan. In the ancient era, Xiao Xuan gathered the Xiao Clan's Dou Di Bloodline through 9,999 bloodline pools in a final attempt to become a Dou Emperor. Although the attempt pushed him beyond the peak of Dou Sheng Nine Stars, he failed at the final barrier. 453 455

The failure severely weakened the clan, whose members had surrendered much of their bloodline power. The Hun Clan then invaded the Xiao Realm to destroy the remaining Xiao Clan bloodline and prevent any future recovery. 455
