Background / History

Soul Hall was regarded as the most mysterious force on the Dou Qi Continent and, publicly, one of its strongest. Its true purpose was serving the Hun Clan by harvesting souls for Soul Origin refinement. Its organization extended across numerous regions, making its full internal structure difficult for ordinary factions to understand 32 77.

The hall first drew Xiao Lin's attention through its connection to Yun Shan and the Misty Cloud Sect. After Xiao Lin captured Earth-grade Protector Wu, Soul Hall quickly reacted: Wu's soul eventually dissipated under torture, and Shi Ye was dispatched to ambush Xiao Lin in the Northwest 32 56.

Soul Hall escalated its actions against the Xiao Family by sending Qinghai Venerable to the Northwest Sect Tournament. Qinghai forcibly entered Heavenly Snake Manor and demanded the capture of Immortal Palace members; Xiao Lin defeated him and used Falling Heart Flame to capture his soul after Qinghai's attempted self-destruction 63 64 65.

The organization subsequently targeted Wutan City during Yao Chen and Heavenly Fire Venerable's resurrection. Black and White Heavenly Venerables led more than a hundred Soul Envoys against the Xiao Family, seeking Yao Chen and the jade pendant. The siege was repelled, and Black Heavenly Venerable was slain 77 78 79 81.

Soul Hall later mobilized several of the Nine Great Heavenly Venerables to ambush Xiao Lin outside the Alchemy Tower. Saint Gu You personally entered the conflict as a Half-Saint, but Xiao Lin and Dragon Clan Third Elder Zhu Li defeated five Heavenly Venerables, forcing Gu You to retreat 101 102 104.

As the conflict widened across Middle Continent, Soul Hall attacked strategic Immortal Palace Alliance cities and caused alchemists to disappear from Alchemy Tower territory. The alliance prepared a counterattack against the Human Hall, only to find it already destroyed by an unknown party 135 136.

Soul Hall Master Hun Miesheng was ultimately slain by Xiao Lin during the struggle surrounding the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame. With its leadership and strongholds devastated, the Hun Clan withdrew Soul Hall's remaining personnel and stored Soul Origin, effectively abandoning the organization to destruction 143 165.

• Soul Envoys and Protectors were ordered to capture experts or gather specified numbers of soul bodies; failure brought severe punishment 77.
• The organization specifically pursued alchemists with powerful souls, including Yao Chen, and was suspected of requiring skilled alchemists for a larger secret plan 77 78.
• The Human Hall contained a Soul Origin sphere estimated to have been condensed from at least one million souls 137.
• Soul Hall had implanted hidden malicious energy into its Soul Origin stores, making careless absorption dangerous to the user's mind 137.

• Black Mist — The organization’s characteristic aura and manifestation, frequently accompanying its agents and attacks 56 77 80.
• Body Explosion Technique — A signature technique that allows a Soul Hall operative to self-destruct while preserving or concealing the soul; Qinghai Venerable used it in an attempted escape 65.
• Dark Skeleton King — A low-grade Heaven-tier Dou Technique used by Saint Gu You. The summoned skeleton emits frigid energy capable of corroding souls 101.
• Soul formations and soul techniques — Saint Gu You fused with the Dark Skeleton King to form a spatially restrictive soul formation against Zhu Li 102.
