Spirit Hall identifies Zhu Er as a transformed Soul Beast during the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Tournament finals. Tang San shields her and declares that anyone seeking to harm her must first step over his corpse. 140 141

Holy Soul Village Refuge

When the Silver Dragon King and other hundred-thousand-year Soul Beasts choose to join Holy Soul Village, Zhu Er remains undecided because of her feelings for Tang San. Ning Qiu privately warns her that Tang San may be pursuing her Soul Ring and Soul Bone. 150 151

Zhu Er ultimately asks to stay in Holy Soul Village, judging it safer than the Star Dou Great Forest after the Silver Dragon King and other powerful Soul Beasts relocate there. Ning Qiu accepts her request without imposing a time limit. 152

Break with Tang San

During Spirit Hall's assault on Holy Soul Village, Tang San reunites with Zhu Er and takes her from the battlefield. Believing his devotion sincere, Zhu Er resolves to sacrifice herself to save him and grant him a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring. 177 178

Before completing the sacrifice, Zhu Er recognizes A Yin's aura from Tang San's exposed Soul Bone and remembers Ning Qiu's warning.
