History

As the Demon Subduing God, Yi He could permanently obliterate demons rather than merely destroy their bodies. He ambushed Solar God Yandi and used his Demon Subduing Umbrella to seal him beneath Flame Valley. He then wielded Yandi’s Sunlight Divine Mirror and falsely accused Xingtian and Kua Fu of betraying the God Realm 1395 1401 1445.

Yi He spent millennia refining ten Golden Crows, intending to use them against Yandi. His conflict with Kua Fu, Xingtian, the Four Directional Gods, and Wang Ming escalated as they discovered his schemes and opposed the threat the Golden Crows posed to the world 1405 1435 1444.

When Hou Yi shot down the Golden Crows, Yi He survived through the remaining Crow and accused Yandi of manipulating the conflict. He subsequently transformed into a fiend, released sealed demons, and proclaimed himself Demon Emperor 1469 1473 1474 1475. He later fought both Yandi and Wang Ming; his final battle with Wang Ming ended in defeat 1490 1542 1543.

Appearance

Yi He wears dark red or dark fire-colored armor, with a large rune on the left side of his face 1442 1455.

• Facial mark — The rune on his left cheek visibly flickers 1455.

Personality

Yi He is ambitious and willing to deceive allies to secure power. He presents his attacks as acts of demon subjugation, tries to turn opponents against one another, and repeatedly seeks control over the Heaven Realm. Wang Ming’s illusions leave him deeply uncertain of his own perceptions, while references to his feelings for Xi Wangmu can provoke him into anger 1399 1401 1455 1489 1537.

Demon Subduing and Sealing

Yi He specializes in seals linked to Celestial Weave Power. As a god, his subduing power could completely obliterate demons 1395 1416.

• Sealed Yandi beneath Flame Valley by transforming his natal umbrella into the Demon Suppression Stone 1445.
• Used the Demon Subduing Seal to confine Kua Fu, Hou Yi, and Old Gui within a spatial barrier 1416.
• His seals lost their direct link to Celestial Weave Power after his transformation into a fiend, making them easier to break 1502.

Solar Spirit and Golden Crows

With the Sunlight Divine Mirror, Yi He could draw on a vast supply of Solar power and cast spells without worrying about ordinary mana depletion 1400.

• Refined ten Golden Crows using the mirror and Celestial Weave Power 1395 1444.
• Absorbed Golden Crows into his body to increase his immediate power, but weakened as Hou Yi destroyed them 1469.
• The mirror also let him observe places reached by sunlight 1402.

Nether Spirit

After becoming a fiend, Yi He drew power from the Nether Spirit and gained more than double his former attack power, at the cost of much of his sealing strength 1475 1502.

• Solar God Yandi — Yi He sealed him in Flame Valley; their rivalry continued after Yandi’s release 1445 1479 1490.
• Wind God Xi Wangmu — The object of Yi He’s feelings; Yandi and Wang Ming both exploited his attachment to her 1446 1489 1537.
• Star God Kua Fu — Longstanding opponent who forged the Ice Bow and Dark Arrow to counter the Golden Crows 1405 1444.
